Your Most Disappointing Restaurant

Boma and Ohana would have to be a tie for me as imo neither were anything special, Ohana the service was terrible ( not "rushed", just ignored as he had plenty of time for his larger tables just not for our little 2top) the food might have been good but we only got one chance for anything after the appes. and the one piece of each skewered meat we got was over cooked( not even sure we ever got them all)

Boma ( breakfast) was any old breakfast buffet at Disney,,,the old minnie mehuna( sp) or golf resort was much nicer presentation and the food is imo about the same as Trail's end for almost 1/2 the price (except for a few more choices).

I would say Scifi also but it gets mixed reviews..'husband's meal there was truly inedible. i only had soup so hard to really tell but with as lousy service as we got, i know we would have walked out if it had been as bad locally

some wdw places are good, but it does make me chuckle how much we willingly pay there for chain rest. type/quality food

Fulton's!!! The food was not good and the service was horrible!!! Th crab and lobster were overcooked and I can't see paying that much money for overcooked shellfish!

We went to CRT in Feb. for dinner. We thought the food was pretty good and the service was Fabulous!! Fernando truly treated us like royalty and I wish we would have left an additional tip on top of what was already included. I will eat there again!

Hmm. this is hard.

Probably Kona Cafe. We trekked to breakfast one morning because everyone raves so much about it just to eat a normal breakfast at a hotel lobby restaurant. The Tonga Toast was revolting and the rest of the food was just normal breakfast fare. Course the atmosphere is just a hotel lobby. NOT worth the trip by any means.

We'd dine there again if we were close but we won't be making a trip for it.

Ohana by far. I wouldn't say it was bad -- I guess a C or C-minus. But based on everyone's comments, we expected an A. Fun place -- nice view -- but very disappointing food.
Somehow, whenever "all-you-can-eat-shrimp" is one of the main features, a restaurant seems to become hugely popular. Honestly, the pre-dinner cocktails were the best part for me!

'Ohana. It just wasn't good at all. Especially the hard, greasy wonton chips, and the sausage that tasted like bland bologna. Veggies were hard and inedible. Potatoes tasted ok, but preprocessed and didn't go with the theme. Steak and turkey were ok, salad and wings were yummy. Shrimp was good but hard to peel- there's something weird about having to peel warm shrimp in a sauce. Dessert was fabulous, though, have to admit it. Service was fine, Atmosphere was nice, view was gorgeous, Poly is amazing--- it was all about the food. Just not worth it.

Number one disappointment has to be Ohanas. These boards mention this restaurant in reverence, and you'll be flamed to death to say anything bad about it, but we've been there several times, and it has been awful. The meat is overcooked and has the consistency of fine leather.

It is so popular, they don't even try to seat you anywhere near your reservation time(we were seated at 8:10 for a 7:00 reservation last trip in April) , and when you do finally get seated, the service is rushed--they just throw the food at you as fast as they can to turn the table over.

It's like the Emporers New Clothes, I guess--the legend of this place supports itself.

I agree. We tried it last year after I read so many raves about it. Needless to say, I was disappointed. We got seated pretty quickly, all things considered, but we had a terrible time just getting a server to notice us let alone have food 'thrown' at us. The food itself was okay but nothing outstanding about it at all. As for desert, we got the pineapple but were never offered a dessert menu. Considering the price, it wasn't worth it and we won't be back.

Most Disappointing (not the worst) - Chef Mickey's (by far)

I pictured sitting down and relaxing. Having a lot of character interaction, kids helping themselves to their favorite food, watching the monorail go by, getting in the spirit of things....

It started bad. 45 minute wait WITH an ADR. With the mob that was there it was difficult to feel any magic...we were simply processed through.
The characters frightened my 4yo to the point that he wouldn't eat at all. The characters learned to stay away from our table so as not to frighten him.
Food good, but WAY overpriced.
I had a fussy eater in the bunch - I paid $25 so he could eat 2 slices of pizza.

you do not want food prep people wearing gloves because their hands don't feel dirty and they will touch raw and cooked food (not to mention the trash can )at the same time. It's better if they are none gloved. their hands feel sticky if they touch raw meat and bingo they remember to wash them. I hate to see gloves in a kitchen.

Concourse Steakhouse...Bleah!! The so-called Merlot Demi was bland and was the consistancy of plum pudding.The Steak was nothing special,baked potato was cold,onion soup was over salted ( too much beef base )the salad greens were warm and limp,the noise that carried over from Chef Mickey's was a bit much.The server, we only saw twice, once to get our order the next to drop off the check.

Liberty Tree Tavern....Character interaction was great but overall the food did not impress me.

Try lunch there. It's character-free and the food is much better. You order a la carte.

have to go with San Angel inn. the atmosphere was awesome but the food was average at best. service made up for the mediocre food so it wasnt a bad time.

the buffet at the Beach Club, Cape May, also was a dissapointment. i guess that since it was in a beautiful place like BC i was expecting more. dessert was seriously dissapointing.

otherwise i really havent had and "bad" dining experiences at WDW

I have been to several Michelin 3 star restaurants, all 9 of Emeril Lagasse's restaurants, SW at the Wynn, Nobu (in 3 cities), 3 of Mario Batali's restaurants and quite a few others, and I have never seen anyone wear gloves.

Crystal Palace. I heard so many great things, but it was blah. The food was so-so, and the character interaction was horrible! We waited 45 minutes to see our first character. Took about an hour and a half to see them all. I wanted the dinner to be somewhat leisurely because we were going before MNSSHP, but this was ridiculous.All the tables around us were just sitting around and waiting for the characters. Everyone was done for at least 30 minutes before we saw all the characters. I will not be back there. It definitely did not live up to the hype.

California Grill has a great location and is basically coasting on its reputation from its opening chef (Clifford Pleau) and general manager (George Millotes).
