Your Most Disappointing Restaurant

Rose & Crown - :crazy2: yuck - tasteless, mushy overdone food.

English toffee dessert however, was wonderful

BOMA. Its not that it was bad, it just wasn't what we expected. It was built up so much, that we were disappointed. It didn't live up to the hype.

San Angel Inn was the worst place we've ate at. It's a beautiful place to eat, but the food is just yuck!
Chef Mickeys also was a disappointment. The food was very bland and cold. The characters on the other hand were awesome!!! They came to our table several times and never were rushed.

Garden Grill. The food (this was post change back) was cold and gross. We couldn't find our server to get refills on drinks or more of what little food DD would eat, etc. Pluto was great, but that about covers the pluses.

Number one disappointment has to be Ohanas. These boards mention this restaurant in reverence, and you'll be flamed to death to say anything bad about it, but we've been there several times, and it has been awful. The meat is overcooked and has the consistency of fine leather.

It is so popular, they don't even try to seat you anywhere near your reservation time(we were seated at 8:10 for a 7:00 reservation last trip in April) , and when you do finally get seated, the service is rushed--they just throw the food at you as fast as they can to turn the table over.

It's like the Emporers New Clothes, I guess--the legend of this place supports itself.

I agree Ohana's was the most disappointing dining experience I have had at WDW to date!

You have a good point here. I see some food workers wearing gloves, but never changing them! Ringing the register, touching money, going back to touching food, all with the same pair of gloves on.

Ding ding ding!!! Exactly. They'll also wipe sweat off their brow with the gloves or wipe em on a dirty apron and then go about their business. They'll put their hand over their mouth when they cough and poof, gloves contaminated. Most places I see people wearing gloves, they defeat the purpose of them within about two minutes of me observing them. The bottom line is if the place doesn't enforce proper cleaning and hygeine, gloves are not going to matter and if the place does, they are not necessary.

Most disappointing for me was Marrakesh.
The food had no spice. And I didn't expect it to be spicy. But this literally was meat and 3 quality. And they didn't get it cooked to boot. Guess that will teach me to Hagar the Horrible a leg quarter before cutting into it. I thought I was sick for sure. The crepes Atlas was great though and the appetizers were good.

Le Cellier. Sorry I know it is a favourite on here, and I was so so looking forward to it. Our first meal on our first full day and wanting it to be special as my husband had needed talking into everything. I had the tomato stack and it only tasted of garlic. We both had steak which was charred and had chewy bits in. Can't tell you how disappointed I was.

The only time I can appreciate gloves in a restaurant is when they put on one white glove to serve you your plate.

And btw, do you use gloves in the kitchen when you cook? Touching the food is part of teh whole cooking thing.

I know someone who for this reason tries to only eat lobster, eggs, ... because she says it's the only food of which you can be sure nobody touched it before you... yeah...

Mine was LeCellers Steak was good but Concourse was better. Service table awful they should never seat anyone where the waiters are working.

crystal palace for dinner (we haven't been back since 2002 ) the food looked  my DH ended up eating the kids cheap looking pizza but had to pay adult price for it.(it looked like the .99 cents frozen pizza ) plus i saw a little girl vomit all over the place as her dad was carrying her to the bathrooms..it took away the little appetite i had. just a bad experience food wise..but the charactere where good with interacting with our son.

Marakesh - this used to be one of our favorite restaurants but after our last experience there, we will never go back....Bad dried out food, absolutely terrible service and the entertainment (band, Belly dancer) were practically non-existent.

I have been to several Michelin 3 star restaurants, all 9 of Emeril Lagasse's restaurants, SW at the Wynn, Nobu (in 3 cities), 3 of Mario Batali's restaurants and quite a few others, and I have never seen anyone wear gloves.

I guess I would have felt differently about the glove thing if they hadnt been touching their faces, door handles, misc. machinery, etc. If they had been washing their hands between these things I may not have thought anything of it...but they werent washing their hands.

The San Angel in Mexico. I was looking forward to it and the scenary was great but food wasn't what I thought it would be.

San Angel Inn wasn't top on my list. I had a mexican dish, it wasn't the best, everyone else had steak and they loved it. (Shouldn't it be the other way around?!)
Le Cellier wasn't good either. I had a soft shell crab sandwich that felt like it was breaded in salt. Must have drank 2 full glasses of water to rehydrate.

Best was Tony's, Mama Melrose (mmm..veal osso bucco!) and Breakfastosaurous.

My biggest disappointment was Ohana's.

Hour wait even with ADR both times, yes I gave it a second chance.

First course very good, I should have left then, dry meat. Both times. I will not be returning any time soon. There are so many other places I like to try. 2 strikes in my book is enough.

Over the years we have had good and bad experiences at the Disney restaurants, but the one we always end up deciding was the most dissappointing was Cinderellas Castle. This is going back about 14 years(my then 4 year old is now going on 19,and still loves Disney!)but we found the food to be mediocre, incredibly overpriced, missed a glass of wine and there was a very short appearance by Cinderella at the end of the meal.
We have enjoyed the PrimeTime Cafe and the various buffets,as the buffets offer something for everyone to eat and the most character interaction for the kids. Although they are expensive, you get the most bang for your buck. We enjoyed Boma and are going back there in May(my 50th birthday),but you have to be prepared for food that is different. We have also enjoyed Chef Mickeys and are returning to the Crystal Palace on this years trip.

So far the only disappointment I have had was with the Character Breakfast at GF. The food was okay, not great, but okay, but we had a really hard time understanding what Alice was saying in her effected accent and it took forever for all of the Characters to come around.

CRT before the changes. I was really looking forward to this dinner, and while it was OK, it wasn't worth the price paid. Our waiter wasn't very helpful, we weren't announced, or called lords or ladies or anything that I read about. The prime rib was very fatty as well.

I'm afraid to say it but here it goes............ Coral Reef the restaurant was nice but the food was horrible!!!!!!!!
