Your life just fell apart & came back together, what are you going to do next? TR UP!

Haven't had a chance to respond to your trip report in a while. Life has been crazy busy for me too with the start of the school year.

I haven't tried many of the places you mentionned, but did want to comment on two:

Ohana breakfast: I LOVED this place. But then again, Stitch is my favorite character. :wizard: FutureDH and DD really liked the fruit juice, and we all enjoyed the food.

Narcoossee's: FutureDH and I went there for our date night. Heavenly food. I'm not a big steak person, but that filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth good and I ate every last bite. FutureDH also quite enjoyed his surf'n'turf. :cloud9:
To make the night even better, we got window seats. As we had a very late dinner, we got to enjoy the Water Pageant, Wishes, and this incredible lightning show! (No rain, no thunder, just lightning lighting up the sky every 10 seconds for almost 2 hours).

Like someone else said, just park at TTC and take the monorail, it really isn't quite far. :)

Since you really want to dine at GF, why dont you just drive to TTC and park there. Then you can take monorail to the GF :thumbsup2
that is a GREAT idea! sometimes my brain doesnt work so well, and I forget the easy things like tis!
If you get a good waitress at 50's Prime Time, you will have a blast as long as no one mind being made fun.
we have eaten here 2 x.. had a great server first time, meh server last year (sophia you may disagree?? she was nice..just not fun) and the food has been meh both times. so its a definite idk
Last time we went was before Trent and lets just say the bartender was a little too generous in giving my DH drinks for his bday. He spent half the meal standing the corner as he was being "naughty" :rotfl2:
:rotfl:
I have never had Kona for lunch or dinner, but love their breakfast....Mmmmm...Tonga Toast
i have yet to try that tonga toast! the big kahuna is just too good!

I have been going to Five Below stores a lot in the last few weeks (looking for Lego Minifigures) and EVERY time I go I see Nightmare Before Xmas stuff and think of you!
woah woah woah, ive been to 5 below 2 x in the past week, and i saw NO nmbc stuff..what gives! but thanks fo thinking of me

Are you on the Food Porn thread? I lurk like no other on there. It's how I got my appetite up last pregnancy!
Jiko Food Porn:

it alll looks soooooooooo good!

I think you've seen all my food pics. :lmao: Hey, don't forget about Earl. I know it is CS, but you gotta do EOS!!!
duh..idk how i forgot that, it's right here on my list.:confused3

Tuskerhouse Food was good by OMG, the noise in that place is too much for me anymore. I think I am just getting old or something.
no, it WAS loud, but we liked it tthere!
Akershus Yummy....I love it there....
me too!
Cinderella's Royal Table although, looking for opinions on this Not a fan. I just don't like CRT any more. It was great the first couple of times we've gone but the food tanked and I dunno...
ive never done breakfast, and i fiured it would be fun at the very least
Crystal Palace - You know how I feel about CP. Gotta love empty park pictures....I know, what does that have to do with an ADR...if you're me...ALOT!
no, I agree with that! it is one of the reasons i still go
Boma x2YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!
:cloud9:
Cape May Cafe- have never eaten here before - Eh, it was okay........
i'm keeping my hopes up for this one
Chef Mickeys- eaten here before, could skip if had to - Ditto

Grand Floridian Cafe- Never eaten here before..looks noms..but again hate the GF parking - Ditto the above.........

Kona - What's a trip to Disney without the Big Kahuna????
i loveeeeeeeeee it!
Ohana- have eaten here before. It was OK enough. - We ate there a long, long time ago, but I'd love to try it again.
still not sure about this one
Lunch

Yak and Yeti- have eaten here before and will most likely do a lunch here again- Hmm, never tried it. Menu isn't me.
im gonna give it a second chance, i think bob will love
Dinner

Chefs de France- have never eaten here..may try to do this as a lunch instead..if we do it at all! - One of our favorites. Lunch there is good too.....We saw Remy at lunchtime there in May 2009
bob really wants to try here
50's PTC- I have eaten here before.. I could take it or leave it, DBF wants to go..so it is a definite maybe- I bet Bob would love it there. Let's hope that he doesn't get "equal punishment" like Joe did. He was misbehaving so he had to stand in the corner with an Equal packet on his nose, pushed up against the wall...arms behind his back.
:rotfl2:
Sci Fi Dine In Not sure if we will do a dinner or lunch here yet - I love Sci Fi. We haven't been there in years though.
i LOVED the atmosphere, and Bob will LOVE it it was like made for people like me and him!
Hollywood Brown derby- Almost certain we will do dinner here..but not 100% positive yet- We like it here.
good to hear!
Coral reef - Had a horrible experience there. Joe won't go back......
:guilty:
Biergarten- It's a fun place to eat. Joe loves it. I can take it or leave it though.
it was very fun though!
Le Cellier- We haven't been since 2008. May go back for lunch because I don't think we'd spend 2 TS on it for dinner...steak at Yachtsman was much better.
i have enough credits to give the new ts a chance.. hope i odnt regret it
Teppen Edo- not sure whether to do Lunch or dinner here? But one of those is happening for sure - sorta want to try it here.......
me too, with you!
CRT- This is always my must do..despite the decline in quality of food.. I know, bad me for continuing to go, but I feel like I *have* to- I think you have to take Bob there at least once. I hate the food there but really, I think everyone has to experience it at least once.
i agree 100%
Yachtsman Steak House- Ate here before..had a somewhat iffy experience..Seemed like it could be out of this world though, so that makes me want to give it a second chance - The steak here is yummy. I think you should give it a second chance.
i will, only im dressing warm this time, we FROZE last time!
Boma- I'm not big on buffets for dinner..but if we stay at AKL, I think i might have to give it a go, for ease at the very least! - I think you will really like it here. The food is awesome....
im excited to try it
Jiko- - never been

1900 Park fare- have eaten here before..wasn't terrible.. could be fun..but again, that damn GF parking - valet girlfriend.....

Grand Floridian Cafe- have heard wonderful things about this place.. I feel like we HAVE to try it..but again, the parking LOL- same as the above. GFC has become one of our must do's now. The food is incredible and for one TS, it's a bargain too. We love it there.
your high recommendation is why i wanna go!
Narcooses- I have made ADR's 2 years in a row and canceled them once i n WDW.. I refuse to NOT try it this time..even if I have to deal with the GF parking- I wanna try it here too.
lets tdo it!
Kona- new to us for dinner..but the din looks super noms! any opinions on this one??- never done dinner here but I wanna try it so I have added it to my 2011 list.

Ohana- I think DBF would love this! It was definitely fun last time, although I wasn't thrilled on food.. but again, 2nd chances - I am trying this for the first time.
excited to hear your thoughts
Spirit Of Aloha- Gonna eat here on our first night, just to get the mood going in the right direction! food is NOT fabulous, but the atmosphere is fun, and I think it will really help us feel like a real family again Actually really looking forward to this experience with such a fun loving man in our lives! - Joe and I like this show. I think it is our fav dinner show. We liked the food all three times we went. What didn't you like?
wish you were gonna be here our first day to do it with us :( maybe we'll make it our last day? uhm the service was terrible, table mates were awful, food was meh.. kids were terribly behaved lol

So there you have it, there it is! NOW, lemme know what you think! I would love pics if you have em too! I loves me some food porn!

I thought I posted the other day that I was reading your PTR, but I guess I didn't:confused3. Anyway, I'm here!

And not only that, but reading yours for next Sept. encouraged me to begin one as well! THANKS for the kick in the booty that I needed! We're going Sept. 17-25, 2011:woohoo:, and I couldn't wait to begin a PTR...although nobody is reading mine:sad1:, or at least they aren't responding. Oh, well. It's still fun to get organized so far in advance, right?!?

Thanks for joining in, it will be fun to have another September planner! Don't forget to check out Ohiodisneylovers PTR/TR and then PTR too lol

I teach grade 1 and grade 4. It is fun, but LOTS of work!

you teach both? at the same time.. why is my head tarting out and not getting that??

:rotfl: Hahaha. I teach French second language in a school where they have 1-2 hours of French each day. So I get to teach 3 different groups each day. Grade 4 is also my homeroom though.

Hi inkedup!
I love you PTR. I am a fellow ealy planner. Yeah! So happy about you new love. That is awesome. What a great trip you have in the works. Can't wait to see it come together over the next year. We are also right in the middle of trying to figure out our Dining plan meals. I'm jealous of you DxDP and 2 weeks.
The better question becomes where shouldn't you eat? Right?;)

My 2 cents. I love Boma and Cape May Cafe for dinner. You don't have any TS downtown Disney places (if I emember corectly). Have you thought about making a Raglan Rd. reservation? We have never eaten there but it is high on my list. I think it all looks good.

Can't wait to read more.

I'm looking forward to trying Boma for dinner, but we will be doing Cape May Cafe for breakfast this year. I think the dinner there looks pretty decent too though!

As for DTD, I forgot to add Earl of Sandwich! We always eat there! It is my MUST DO! As for Raglan Road, the menu does nothing for me :( I always go back to it, but it never appeals to me!

Thanks again for joining in, and the kind words :)

I've decided that since our dates overlap, you should just find me and give me your leftovers from these great restaurants:rotfl2:!

The podcast crew just did a review of Cape May Cafe dinner and they really liked it. And they never seem to like anything!
