What do you do & do you like it?

I am a Service Writer for a Hyundai Dealership (best of both worlds men & machines!) I love it & I could tell you a few things about cars...

I own my own small design business where I create fresh and original nursery and children's bedding, paintings, coordinating lamps, diaper bags, etc.

I love being my own boss and having the freedom to create and help people design their child's room. It's very rewarding!

Staples, i'm in various departments throughout the year. Right now home is the Copy Center.

I work in the marketing department of a bank. I run the marketing customer information file which is a database that has our customer information, products they have with us, etc. I run research based on the data in the database. I also do mapping and other market research.

I like what I do, I just don't like what I'm being paid to do what I do.

I would like to do my job in another industry if possible, one that pays a little bit more than the banking industry.

I'm the Vice President of Sales for a medical publisher. I have 17 employees, all of which I hired. It's great to be able to hire your co-workers! And better yet, you can fire them if you don't like them! ;)

All kidding aside, I love the people I work with, and I love the company I work for. We are currently in the middle of a divestiture, and I'm hoping for the best!

:goodvibes

I work for a lab, that does Oral Fluid Drug Screening. Our Clients are Schools, Probation Depts, Treatment Centers & Industry.

I have learned alot of different things. And it is job I had no idea I would ever be doing.

I'm a commercial lender. I finance mid-size businesses and farms from $250,000 up to $10,000,000. I love what I do and the pay is good. The only thing that sucks is that I supervise 4 people - have a manager that is 2 hours away, but get paid less than the lowest paid lender - in a non-supervisory role - in my manager's home office. Being a woman in a primarily male dominated field, it's always the "good ole' boy" double standard.

Substitute teacher and I am ready to leave that but I like it most days.
Sign language interpreter. I love it!

I am a store trainer...have been for the last 3 years. I like my job, but I'm getting ready to try something else with the company...just not sure what I want to do.

Financial planner, 28 years.

KT27, my MIL is thinking of getting a Hyundai Elantra. Good choice? Very little driving, all local.

I do all the "office work" for our business. My DH builds, repairs and races boats along with running a machine shop. I like the benefits of what we do. My DH gets to travel and he's making a living doing something he loves. Our last race of the year is in San Diego and the monday after the race we do Disneyland! There is talk of a race in Florida in the next few years and that would be one I wouldnt miss! There is a downside.....from the end of winter until the end of summer he works 7 days a week and is gone most of the summer  .

Well, I was a writer for a medical publishing company for 5 years. That's going to end on Friday. We were bought out 2 years ago by a giant publishing conglomerate who has slowly but surely let everyone in my department go. I am the next and the last one to be targeted. :duck:

Something good will come out of it. I am hoping for better opportunities, interesting challenges, and working towards a cause that is more in tune with my idealistic self! More money will be good too. I am going to try to think positively

Babysitter

aka Walmart Toy Associate

Generally love it- But by the end of the night- find it not so fun... Especially when all I do is take calls from neighboring W-marts who *apparently* can't keep anything in stock... :)

I'm a Registered Nurse in an ICU. I must like it...I've been there for 16 years. It pays for the DVC. :p

I am an Operating Room nurse. I have been in the OR for 25 years this July. I love it but currently, I am out with a back injury facing surgery myself.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_1.gif' border=0></a>
