Here is an honest comparison of what I have seen. If you feel the ticket price is worth it you should totally go, but in my opinion based upon experience, it is no longer worth the cost of the ticket for the limited things that are added outside of a daily park ticket.
The first MVMVCP I went to was in 2001. I have been every year since. I will not be going this year.
The first year we went the tickets were roughly $23 per person.
- They offered a variety of cookies.
- The cocoa was thick and very chocolaty.
- The ticket included a voucher for a photopass picture from the party.
- The fireworks were pretty much the same.
- The parade was much longer.
- They put everybody with a wristband in tomorrowland and made everybody without one leave.
- They sold fewer tickets then.
Today the tickets are $100
- They have one sugar cookie that is pretty much like eating sand.
- The cocoa is watered down.
- No photopass picture.
- Parade is shorter than years ago.
- I see people all over the park who do not have a wristband sneaking their way into spots to watch the parade and fireworks.
- On the plus side, I do think they have more characters now than they did in the past.
- They sell a lot more tickets and the parties are very crowded.
