FYI - I am finding quite a few Coach Carly's on Ebay for quite a bit less than the retail price of $348. Ebay'ers can't sell fakes right? I think I might just order my own.

Some of the Carly's have been appearing at the outlets, that's why you will see alot of them on ebay below retail. However, there are a lot of fakes out there also.

You're not serious are you? Over 95% of the "designer" bags on ebay are fakes. I'd go to the outlet before I'd risk ebay. YMMV

Ebay cares about the bottom line not about keep fakes off. Google Ebay + fake handbags and save yourself some misery. Keep in mind Ebay owns paypal and you have to get a letter from the manufacturer or an expert to prove to them that your bag is a fake. Most stores will not provide that.

I have to agree with everyone else... Coach, and definitly hit an outlet. I have 3, one I used as my diaper bag for 2 years and it's still in great condition. My current on is the Carly patchwork denim which was a Christmas present from my husband who HATES spending so much money on a bag but caved because it was the only thing I would tell him that I wanted! I also own a LV black multicolour pouchette which I bought when they first came out and before my DS was around. Needless to say, it gets used now only when I need very few things (cell, wallet, lipstick, keys). I'd love another LV but that would not go over very well!

I'm not even close to being a "purse snob"....but I love my Vera!! I use them year round...dark colors in the winter and light colors in the summer. I have three of them...well, four, but one is totally worn out...I just can't bear to toss it!

You just missed the gucci sale, but if you wait til november, they have another one (pre-sale will begin around thanksgiving). Check out the deals and steals forum on the purseblog website - they often list the best bargains and sale codes and when a sale will begin.

I think of them as designer, only because they have their own name brand stores, but very low end designer. Since they stuck a store in every mall and outlets at every center, they are not exclusive or unique. When average middle schoolers are getting them for Christmas, they don't rank real high anymore

They have also started producing them overseas at a lower quality, which is a shame.

Yeah - I remember them from the early 70s when they were kind of plain. I do have a few now though. They did finally come up with some styling in the past few years.

I cannot believe the prices of purses today. I used to have several Fendi purses - wow they are SO expensive today. I've also owned Gucci.

I still have a couple of Chanel bags - but my most expensive bags are the Judith Lieber ones. I haven't bought one in at least a decade. They are definitely not for everyday though.

Now that I am retired (and have a bad shoulder) I mostly carry Vera Bradley backpacks. I'll carry a tiny little Judith Lieber for a special occasion though.

I just checked out the lv epi alma NICE!!!! They have a black one on e luxury for $849 they say its in excellent condition with just a minor scuff on the front. I guess it retails for over $1200.

I am so glad that I had bought a couple of Judith Lieber clutches and some cuff links many years ago. I went to The Beau Rivage recently and saw 2 JL cluthes that were selling for over 2000.00 a piece. The other one was over 4000.00.
