Christmas dinner

appetizers: crab dip, spinach & artichoke dip, shrimp cocktail, cheese & cracker tray

dinner: turkey w/ sausage stuffing, ham w/ pineapple stuffing; broccoli
casserole, roasted fresh green beans, twice baked cheddar potatoes, gingered carrots, and corn

desert: whatever my mother brings, homemade cookies, and ice cream
 
DDs picked our menu this year. Christmas Eve we will have breaded and pan fried fish. Christmas Dinner will be steaks. I have not decided what sides we will have, yet, but it will probably be some sort of potato and some sort of veggie. Thrilling, I know.

stuffed turkey breasts
baked ham
scalloped potatoes
baked macaroni & cheese pie
black-eyed peas and rice
baked corn pie
sweet potato & pineapple pie
garlic bread
broccoli & cheese sauce
salad

For dessert:

chocolate icebox cake
mince pies & icecream
some sort of fruit dessert yet to be decided
 
Christmas Eve:

We are totally ordering pizza!

glazed carrots
deviled eggs

cookies & pie or cake
 
Christmas Eve we always go out to dinner.

Christmas Eve:

Applewood smoked bacon wrapped shrimp
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
3 Cheese plate (I got Brie, Blue, and Irish Cheddar)
Spinach & Artichoke Dip
Lobster Tails

Christmas:

Standing Rib Roast
Hash Brown Casserole
Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta
Layer Salad
Grilled Ciabatta bread with olive tapenade
Cheesecake
 
We're having pot roast for dinner. I'm not totally committed to sides yet though - probably carrots and mashed potatoes and some brussel sprouts too. I don't know...any suggestions?
 
Keeping it simple:

Spiral sliced ham
Broccoli and cheese
Corn
Mashed potatoes or au gratin, I will ask the ds what they want
pineapple
rolls
maybe green bean casserolle

Dessert: pies, another vote, maybe blueberry, pumpkin,pecan or coconut custard, At least 3 of those,

cranberry sauce

Last year my gf and I went to the Savannah and had the most amazing lobster pot pie. I played around with it and FINALLY got a good recipe. Now everyone wants one for the holidays and I promised everyone one for Christmas. :thumbsup2

We also go to my gf's aunts house for the traditional ham and turkey food.
 
Christmas Eve is shrimp cocktail, baked clams, clam dip, spinach dip, linguine w/ clam sauce, some sort of fried fish, lemon chicken.

Christmas Day is ham, eggplant parm,lemon chicken, mac and cheese, rigatoni ala vodka, salad. Apps are spinach dip, crockpot meatballs, clam dip, cheese and crackers, corn and black bean salsa.

Hors d'oeuvres:
Shrimp cocktail
Relish tray (assorted olives, pickles, cottage cheese, corn relish)
Clam dip
Nachos
Pigs-in-the-blanket

Dinner:
Sauerbraten (MIL's recipe)
Potato pancakes (homemade)
Red cabbage
French-style green beans w/almonds
Applesauce

Desserts:
Petit fours
Mini-cheesecakes (blueberry and cherry toppings)
Brownie sundaes

Beverages:
Champagne
Beer
Wine
Soda
Sparkling water
 
Shrimp cocktail
chicken/bacon nuggets
cheese & crackers
chips & dip

Filet Mignon on the grill
Baked potatoes w/sour cream & chives
green beens with mushrooms
corn
rolls

Apple pie
assorted cookies (sugar, chocolate chip, jam filled butter & oreo truffles)
Bars (lemon, brownies & raspberry/oatmeal)
 
Ours will be very simple due to there being only 2 of us and my dietary problems

Roasted Brussel Sprouts with brown butter and almonds
cookies, fudge, candy and a chocolate carmel cake
