Your Car Name…

Not really, our first Acadia DD named Beast in an effort to make herself feel better about getting rid of our orange van but we didn't use the name often.

Now, that DD has an orange Jeep which DH keeps calling Mabel to upset her, and she insists the name is Tiger Lily.

I have named all my cars. My current one is Belle. The shade of blue for the paint reminded me of Belle's blue dress the first time I saw it. Previous were baby and little green machine.

We haven't named any vehicles until DH purchased his most recent one. The dealership asked for her name to put in their records. Took about three second to name it Stevie (Nicks).

I had a convertible Audi called, “Princess”, because I babied it so much and it was just a princessy looking car. I now have a white Tesla named, “Mahina”, which is Hawaiian for moon because she is pearly white and looked like the moon at night.

We name our cars. We currently have:

Wanda the Honda
Nikki the Nissan
Carrie the Corolla
Fred the Ford
Tommy the Toyota

We’re definitely nerdy like that. :rotfl2:

My first car was a brown Dodge something, I don't even know what it was. I called it a turd.
The next car that I named was a Ford Escort that I called Harvey the Wonder Hamster. It looked kinda like a hamster, and I loved the song.
My next car was a new Ford Escort and even though it didn't look like a hamster, it was Harvey Jr.
Next was a Ford Focus that I got with the "Focus and a Dell" promotion so that one didn't have a name, but it had a song.
After that I got a Ford Edge that DD and I ended up calling Edgeward because we're Twilight fans.
Now I own a Hyundai Tucson that I've named Tuc(k). DD, DH, and I were all three in a production of Tuck Everlasting and I got my Tucson right after that so it just fit.

I've named most of my cars. The current one is "Rhapsody" mostly because I was hoping to get a license plate saying that (she's a blue car). But all spelling variations of that word were taken. So I just named her that.

Our truck is "Buck".

I'm not a car naming person but DD named my 1955 Ford Customline with 3 on the Tree that she drove while in H.S. and appropriately named it *The Smurf Mobile* due to the colors.

My previous car (a VW Passat station wagon) was dubbed "The Blue Bomber" on a road trip. My brother-in-law gave it that name. We were kind of caravanning with my husband's family. My brother-in-law dubbed his own car "The Silver Bullet" and our car "The Blue Bomber" kind of as a joke. We didn't call it that regularly, but occasionally got mentioned.

My new(est) car is a Subaru Outback. My college-age son has dubbed it "Leslie Sue, the Subaru." Again, we don't refer to it that way regularly, but I guess she has a name!

My last 2 autos have been minivans to haul 4 kids.

In the throws of raising 4 kids only 7 years apart, I called the vans the 'Crazy Bus'. And I often felt i was driving a crazy bus as they rode in the van.

My kids loved the Arthur cartoon and there was a song called 'Crazy Bus'. That DW played all the time annoying Arthur. That's how we started calling the vans crazy bus.

Now my kids are all in their 20s and Arthur just ended it's run.

But I still have our 2008 Sienna 'Crazy Bus'.

DD named her silvery-light blue Honda Fit "Elsa" because of Elsa in Frozen. I've never been into naming our cars, although for awhile DD drove our gold PT Cruiser and called it "The Nugget," like a gold nugget, and the name stuck; we still refer to that car as "the Nugget" and we sold it 5 or 6 years ago. That's the closest we've ever come to naming our cars.
