Raven: She was sitting on her bed in her room, arms wrapped around her knees and holding them to her chest. The room was pitch black, it was utterly silent, and the doors were locked. If Raven hadn't taught herself to never cry when she was about 3 or 4, she reckoned she might have cried. Might.

And I can't deal with yours and Phil's daddy issues if I can't even deal with my bloody own! And I can't bloody deal with the fact that I can't bloody deal with anything because I do that by blasting the targets until they disintegrate and bloody Director Fury bloody took away every single bloody gun I have! So go away and leave me alone because I'm so bloody done and bloody tired that I forgot I don't bloody trust anyone and bloody ranted at you when I just want to be left alone to die painfully."

You're my best friend, Raven, and I hate to see you like this."

Raven: "Of course it's my fault. It's always my fault, don't be silly. Yeah well, we're not exactly the idea family and the old man's too busy running the organization that keeps the world from blowing itself up to deal with the trifling issue of being my father unless it suits him that year. And that won't happen, because when he gets killed I'll get killed because whatever enemy of my father's it was won't want me taking his place and taking up the mantle of the Fury Dynasty. And I like you, but I don't trust you, nothing personal I just don't trust anyone. Anyone and everyone can be out to kill me. And I don't like having weakness either, but apparently something went wrong with the new version of the SSS because I have weakness."
