There is a little bit of EVERYTHING at WDW, skinny people, fat people, disabled people, rich people, poor people, ugly people, pretty people, ect. - I could care less. I'm on a mission at WDW when I am there and that is to have FUN!!! My only hope is all these other people are having fun too!:teeth: The ONLY thing that does remotely bother me, is when I am seated next to someone (on bus, monorail or ride) with BAD BO! But, I even overlook that because we are at WDW in 90 degree heat or higher!;)

why is disney world a haven for overweight people

Its a little known fact, but Mickey Mouse cartoons actually contain subliminal messages urging fat people to travel to Disneyland and WDW.

For example, in one particular case, Mickey says "Ha ha! Pluto, what are you doing?"

If you play the cartoon at extremely slow speed, you'll hear "Ha Ha! Pluto, what are (bring your lard butt to WDW) you doing?"

So I guess that's why.

EVERYBODY CAN'T BE SKINNY EVERYBODY CAN'T BE THE SAME I HAVE FAT FRIENDS AND SKINNY FRIENDS I TREAT THEM ALL THE SAME FAT PEOPLE LIKE TO HAVE FUN TO AND DISNEY IS THE BEST PLACE FOR IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE FAT PEOPLE STAY HOME::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hmmm... well... I may be a little chubby, but I honestly have never run across "fat lattened stuff" at WDW. Is that sold somewhere in Epcot??

I've run into quite a few morons at WDW (and elsewhere), but they seem to come in all shapes and sizes.

Overweight people go to WDW for the same reasons thin people go there..

or tall people go there...

or short people go there......

or over-inflated egotistical judgemental people go there......

and if none of the above don't know why all those people go..I sure ain't gonna tell you...

And I leave you with a song....

"Jesus loves the little children..

ALL the little children of the world...

Be they yellow black or white...

They are precious in His sight...

Jesus loves the little children of the world..."

I thought I was attracted to Disney World because it was the happiest place on earth...not because of my size

Honestly, I can probably see Disney offering low-carb menues just because it's getting to where EVERYONE is doing it...Disney will probably follow along eventually.

But I do agree with other posters in that there are healthy choices at WDW. I, personally, don't get them that much because, hey...it's my vacation. I want to have fun and if that means getting a Mickey-shaped ice-cream on a stick then by-golly that's what I'm going to do! The way I see it, whatever I eat I will walk off because we do a LOT of walking there.

Wait a minute...I just had a flashback. Maybe if you don't like what's on the menu and you want a healthy alternative maybe you can just bring your own CAN OF CORN!

So maybe that's why those people were eating corn at Disney World???

Disney World is the only place I have ever been to where children can get carrots rather than french fries when they order the kid's meal.. I think that's awesome!!

"Fat haven??" I don't think so.. Just a significant number of people of all shapes and sizes congregating in the same area... What's wrong with that?

NYDF, hate to break it to ya babe but the fatties ain't just in WDW. For all you know we could be in a neighboring town! :teeth:

As for the food, I don't know what the heck you're *****ing about the food in WDW for when you live in NY!! You know how big the portions are in the restaurants around here!!

I think the p.c. term for overweight or fat people is metabolically challenged. ;)

Seriously though, I don't understand the need to watch what everyone else is doing, how they are dressed or try to estimate how much someone weighs. I'm too busy having fun!

I suggest to those who are too busy sizing up the crowds at WDW do the same.

Warning: I'm fat, I'm happy & I'm going to WDW in June. Why am I attracted? Same as anyone, because it's fun. (but please don't make that my tag!)

I don't go to WDW to worry about what other people there look like. I do know that the extra walking is good for me - I average about a 5 pound weight loss for each of visits.

Disney does offer plenty of healthy eating choices for us fat people. And plenty of unhealthy ones for thinner people that are just there to have a good time too.

HEY GUYS....I think the OP was looking for results like this from us. Let it go! Trolls like to cause trouble.

Indeed, never comes to the Community Board and all of a sudden decides to post this?

Well, I'm overweight and we just made our WDW reservations today. Maybe I should feel really guilty and cancel... NOT!!!

Hey, I'll be at Pop Century April 19-24 you gonna be there? I want to make sure you see my fat in all its glory in a BATHINGSUIT! I'm not saying its great to be fat, i have went from a size 22 to an 18 in the past 1 1/2 years, I want to be more healthy. Why were you looking at all the fat people anyway?

I was wondering if I should start a post called "Why is Disney a haven for young children...."

anyone with me?
