Ok - with all the clothing threads here, I had to start an 80's thread. You know you know some women like this - you may even be a woman like this and not even realize it - this thread will help you hunny!

You Know Your Stuck In The 80's If.......

You wear tube socks OVER your light wash jeans.
Your jeans are so tight, and so high, that camels come to your house looking for their toes.
You think that blue eyeliner and blue mascara is a great look.
You have cornered the market on hair spray, moose and gel at your local market.
You still cut the necks (and bottoms) out of your t-shirts.
You can only find one earing, but its cool, you'll just wear the one.
The higher you can get your bangs, the better.
Feathers don't just belong on ducks!

You have any shirts with netting over them.

Rat tail!

A year or so ago I went with my husband to get his hair cut and there was a guy in the chair with the longest rat tail I've ever seen in my life. The rest of his hair was short and neat, but the tail came down to his butt or longer.

But I do remember when they were cool.

I heard on the Today Show last week when they were reviewing Fashion Week that big shoulders were back. I had major flashbacks.

And can you believe that my 16 year old brother in law found my husbands old members only jacket and actually wore it, thinking he was cool? And his mom let him, saying that "it's leather, that never goes out of style."

I staged an intervention. Well, more like I staged a robbery. No more Members Only jacket for him. Someone HAD to keep him from embarrassing himself! I can't help it if I'm the only one nice enough to steal from him.

that was funny when I was 14 I got a job and the first thing i did was buy a pair of stone washed jeans to tight of course!

For me, it's "1984 called - it wants its hair back."

I did have a mullet in 1985. Poodle-permed, no less. And in the late 80s, I also had a braided rattail.

Maybe we won't discuss the clothes...the acid-wash jeans with ankle-zippers...the 3 pairs of neon slouch socks worn over them...the untied pink and black hi-tops...the armful of rubber bracelets...

I was SO cool!

Actually swatch watches are coming back and boy are they expensive. My 25 year old daughter has one and loves it.
