You Know Your Stuck In The 80's If.......

And fringe! Has anyone mentioned fringe yet?

And of course, it had to be fringe with denim. Acid washed, preferably.

Here's a pic to remind you of the good old days:

Ooh! Ooh, ooh, ooh...I still have my faded, oversized, rhinestone-studded denim jacket that my mother gave me for Christmas 1986! Does that count?

I also had a fringed denim shirt kind of like the jacket in the picture. The part above the fringe was silver metallic floral lace, then the white fringe, over faded denim (not acid-washed, just faded). I loved that shirt.

And I can't believe I'm doing this, but here is me in 1985. Ignore the fact that I was a band geek. I had a mullet AND high-waisted jeans AND an Ipod shirt with the collar popped.

Awesome!! Like gnarly to the max!

you are stuck in the 80s if you have hair like this. Photoshopped to protect identity.

If you still wear a fanny pack!!! I see a lot of those in WDW.

BTW, I just bought The Goonies for my 9 year old - she loved it. I didn't realize how bad their language was. After we finished the DVD, I watched the extras. Basically it was all the Goonies all grown up talking about the film. So basically it was ME watching the now adult goonies watching themselves as children. They did a commentary of the entire film.
It is still a good movie.

I have the greatest email...

7. You got super-excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
(I dont know this one...lol)

My kids played this on old Apple Computers.
Did you ever play the Sims or any reality computer games, this had to be the first.
Anyhow, my kids would starve their pioneers going out West.

I had all my kids in the 80's
I just remember really cool maternity clothes started coming out.

I was at Kohls last night looking for hoodies for my teen boys...so this was in the young men's section...and it appears that 80s colors and patterns are making a comeback. Like the pastelly zigzags and checkers, etc. I picked one up for my 16 year old, just out of curiousity. Figured I'd take it back if he didn't like it. He LOVED it; is wearing it today.

38. You used to (and probably still do) say 'What you talkin' 'bout Willis?'

My brother got me a shirt a few years ago for my birthday that said, "I'm what Willis was talkin' 'bout!"

My brother and I used to shoot everything that moved--for sport only. We left every buffalo where it fell and raced against time and starvation and scurvy and God knows what else to get to where we were going. That's the only way to rock Oregon Trail. :cool2:

I had every color Esprit pants back in the mid-80's.

I had an air brushed Michael Jackson sweatshirt.

Two toned jeans.

Reebok high tops.

Friendship bracelets (or were they the 90's?). And I had these barretts that I made with ribbon & you criss crossed them so the ribbon hung onto your hair. As well as the paper clib beaded things we would put on our sneakers.

About 2 weeks ago I was in Walmart checking out & the lady at the next register (checking out also) had feathered hair. I couldn't help but stare at her & her perfectly Farrah hair. Feathered sides, parted middle & straight in the back & sides where the flip was not. And she had 2 teenage boys with her. OY!

You wait for the "Bud Bowl" at halftime during the SuperBowl.

You dance either by doing a head down type of hokey pocky or with your hands behinnd your back.
