You just lost 80 pounds! What are you Going to do next? Ending TR

Hahaha, I don't do drama either, I also try to avoid it like crazy! But man....40 girls and 40 women? That's a recipe for drama all right. :lmao:

Mackie looks absolutely beautiful in that dress. :thumbsup2

What a lovely picture of Mackie! Just lovely

Ugh your week(s) before the trip

Ugh ugh and triple ugh! Talk about needing a vacation!!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing more updates AND some before/after photos! Come on, lady!

I have trip planned for Sept. 2014 and I'm using it as incentive to stick with my exercise regimen and clean eating plan. I'm almost down 35lbs and I'm aiming for another 65 by next year. :cool1:

My hats off to you!! Clean eating is not something you hear a lot of people willing to do to get their weight under control, I honestly don't see how you can get healthy and maintain a healthy weight without eating clean at least 95% of the time.
Oh! And....

:welcome:

Just wanted to jump on here and let you know I'm thinking of y'all and hope you're having a great weekend. This is truly a beyond blessed day.
I've been busy shopping for a re-do in my bedroom. It's in major need of it. :scared: I'm going with a blue/white theme, it seems very calming to me and yet cheerful. :) Just discovered a store called Home Goods here in town and I'm over the moon!! That's place is awesome!! I found some beautiful lamps so far, hoping they will actually work with what I have in mind.

I should be getting my photo CD back soon from Disney photo pass, I finally put an order in for it a little while back. I'd like to use some of those photo's for my reveal of us in Walt Disney World, but we'll just have to see. I may have to use one of my phone photo's if it looks like the CD is taking too long. :) Can't keep y'all waiting too much longer. :upsidedow

My goal is to get an update up tomorrow, buuuut since it's the first day of summer (youngest out of school) we'll see how that plays out.

Well, my girlie is waiting on me to feed her, better get off of here and make sure she's taken care of. :)

As I thought I was not able to get on here and actually do an update. Sooooorry. :guilty:

Annnnd, it looks like tomorrow will not be in the cards either. :sad2:
You see.....Mackie is getting her braces off!! :teeth:
Her appt. was set for Wed. and has been for six weeks now, most Ortho offices set appts. six weeks in advance since that's usually how long it is between appts., so when Mackenzie told me she wouldn't be able to make that appt. YESTERDAY (due to swim team plans that she could NOT miss)....:scared: and would I be willing to reschedule the appt. for Tues. I knew in my heart I would be disappointing her. :guilty: Bless the baby's heart, she has been waiting close to two years to get these suckers off and I was afraid I'd have to tell her it would or could be up to another six weeks before I'd be able to get her in. Not that I believe my kids should never be disappointed, hardly...but when you've been waiting for something for so long, it's really hard to hear you aren't going to get what you thought was going to happen.
So, I called in today (actually yesterday since it's after midnight) and told them the problem and asked if they would be put me on a waiting list incase there was a cancelation, and wouldn't you know it.....she turned around and told me they had one for tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.!!! pixiedust:

MACKIE HAS NO CLUE!! :goodvibes She thinks we have a hair cut appt. later on that day and has no idea I'm taking her in to get her braces off as planned but better....a day early!! She was so hoping they would be able to get her in the day before the big swim meet plans and now they will!! :goodvibes

Here's to everyone having a great day!! :thumbsup2

Thank you Dee-Dee! :) It is a big day in a girl's life! She's so thrilled.

Congrats to Mackie - can't wait to see a photo! I remember what a wonderful day that was for me! :goodvibes

Thank you, Alysa! :goodvibes I haven't gotten to experience that day yet, I guess I'm next. :teeth:

Here's the final result! :) She looks so much older now!! :guilty: With the braces she was still some what of a little girl, not so much now. :sad2:

:rotfl: I was trying to figure out why my child's arms look so spotty....it's the reflection off of her shirt.

DID I NOT SEND YOU A NOTICE?!? Oh my goodness, Mark! I'm truly sorry, if I didn't know you were such a confident person I'd start to worry you were thinking I was doing this to you on purpose. :rotfl: I swear you were on my list, see.....

Horrid picture, but total proof I had you on the list!! :teeth:

You and Tim are circled because I was supposed to send you a heads up and I must have gotten distracted. :( So sorry. Well, at least I can give you a proper Mark welcome...

Nope, no heads-up...but I must give you props for having a picture of your list. :lmao::rotfl2:

MARK!! :upsidedowGB and Liz too!! :thumbsup2

Ahhh...that's more like it. Now let me go wash all this glitter off.

Very nice!

Sorry for all of the drama leading up to your Disney trip. Hopefully it made the trip that much sweeter!

As I was saying....my head hit the pillow and the next thing I know I'm waking up at 5 in the morning.

I almost never wake before the alarm goes off in the morning, but for some reason I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.

No biggie! It was a Disney morning and I could not have been happier!! I got up and FB for a bit, chatted with TarzansKat back and forth a bit, and then I finally decided it was time to get my butt movin and shook a tower, I mean took a shower to start our day!! :upsidedow Our Disney day!! Our day we were going to Disney, not just any Disney, but Walt Disney World!! The day I have been planning for, the day I had worked my butt off for!! This was THE DAY!! IIIII WAAAAAS GOOOOOING TO DIIISNEY WOOOORLD!!
But I wasn't excited about it or anything. :yay: :rolleyes1

I finished up getting ready, finished packing the last of my things and then went to wake Mackie, or at least I was going to but my baby was already awake. :lovestruc Poor baby, I thought for sure she'd sleep in after the day she had, scratch that....after the week she had, but nope! She was already awake and it was just before 7 a.m., but with her internal alarm going off @ 6, she was already up and at em!!

We didn't care if we were up early, you know why???

CAUSE WE WERE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!

We finished up packing little odd's and ends that needed packing, made our way downstairs to take care of one last thing before we made breakfast.......

That's right, the last of the Mickey heads!!

We ceremoniously took care of that by sticking the last of the heads in a zip-loc, made breakfast and headed out the door!!

As the great Nebo always says as well as this family....
Aaaaaand Were OFF!

But not before we had to make a turn around to go the right direction! :rotfl:
This little incident reminded me of something we had forgotten so we stopped by the side of the road (still in our neighborhood) and said a little prayer to thank the good Lord above & to ask for protection as we traveled (clearly I was already needing it :rotfl2:). We also asked for safe travels for all others who were going to be on the road that day. Dawn, Meadow, my hubby, and his dad.

We had plenty of time to get ourselves parked in long term parking and into the airport since we left at 8:20, our flight didn't leave until around 11:15. As we were unloading our luggage out of the van I saw the nice lady who was driving the shuttle waiting on us. She had pulled up to the stop and saw us unloading the van and decided to wait for us. I felt like the Pixie dust was already starting!! :goodvibes

Got up to the skycap and checked everything in, he didn't even ask for my name since we had the ME stickers on the luggage (names are on it), he just asked for my ID, and if we needed boarding passes. I was already on the ball and had those in hand since we checked in the day before, we were ready to get in line for security! :cheer2:

Got inside and realized the security looked like a breeze. We were through the line before we knew it, and no one was felt up, patted down or felt like we should have at least been taken to dinner first, all was good. :rotfl:

Of course with my daughter being a young teenager and still growing her 5'10 frame, she decided we needed to find something to eat. Me-"What do you mean you need to eat, you just ate before we left the house." A conversation I have faaar too often. Her-"Moooom, I'm hungry and I need to find something to eat before we get on the plane!" When the heck did I become Mooooom?!? It always use to be Mama, now it's only Mama if she wants something. :rotfl:
Naaaa, she's a good baby, she knows her Mama will do just about anything for her spoiled little fart blossom.
She sincerely thanked me for the money I gave her (can't help but spoil them when they are so grateful/thankful for all that you do for them) and we set off to find something to eat in the airport, somehow I knew the end result would be with be a Cinnabon in the mix, sure enough.
Do I know my kid, or what?!? :)

She ate while I tried to figure out how I was going to finish my gift bag I was trying to make for one of my meets. Silly me brought everything but a large eyed needle to finish the gift bag I was crocheting. Oh well, I guess I'll have to find something else to do while I'm sitting on the plane for 2 and half hours.

Sorry folks, this where I'll have to leave this riveting story. It's already after 3:30 and I'm needing to hit my workout. I have the house all to myself, need to take advantage of it while I still can. :thumbsup2

Be blessed and I'll be back soon.

Nope, no heads-up...but I must give you props for having a picture of your list. :lmao::rotfl2:

I had to prove to you I had thought of you when I started the TR!!

Ahhh...that's more like it. Now let me go wash all this glitter off.

Nope. Nope. Nope! You must wear it all day and explain to your wife when you get home why you are covered in glitter. I'm sure Julie will understand. :teeth:

Very nice!

Sorry for all of the drama leading up to your Disney trip. Hopefully it made the trip that much sweeter!

Thank you Mark.

It did make the trip that much sweeter. :lovestruc

I'm on my phone and don't know how to quote so just a quick response to say thank you for thinking of Meadow and me with your prayer for safe travel. Very sweet of you. And.....calling your daughter a spoiled little fart blossom had my ROTL LMHO. Too funny!!!

Spoiled little fart blossom...that's the funniest thing I've ever heard. :)

Fellow weight-loser here! After our trip in 2010, I said had to be under 200 lbs by our 35th anniversary trip in 2012. I didn't lose the weight by then -- but we also had to delay the trip for a year, so I still had a goal to work toward. By the time we left for our trip in April, I exceeded my goal and was down 85 lbs! I still have at least 40 to go to reach the "healthy weight range."

I can relate to your seat belt story. Mine is a fanny pack story. When I pulled mine out in March, I discovered that I not only no longer needed the extender, I also could cinch it a good bit. I took it to my meeting and showed everyone that with the fanny pack at the old size, it now fell down to my ankles!

I thought about doing a trip report and including old pictures and new ones, but I just can't keep up with writing trip reports -- and I'm not nearly as entertaining as some of the folks here on the DIS. I can't wait to see your pics. And I am going to hunt up your PTR (I have signatures turned off, my eyes can't take all those graphics and my computer hates them).

Now, one thing I came back saying about our trip was that the food wasn't nearly as good as I had spent a year anticipating it would be. Every time I had the urge for a sweet, I would tell myself, "No, wait until you have one of those cinnamon rolls at Disney." Well, I got the cinnamon roll and it was "Eh" -- dh though so too, so we shared one and took the second back to our room to snack on. And that was the way it was for just about every meal and snack we had. Even the highly-praised BOG left us scratching our heads. I'm wondering if you experienced the same thing.

Last thing before I go -- the "pw" in my name stands for pastor's wife -- so I love the faith aspect you bring into your trip report. :)

Mackie must be thrilled to have her braces off!

Yay, departure departure! I always get up before my alarm on Disney day. It's so worth it.

Calling your daughter a spoiled little fart blossom.....priceless. :thumbsup2

Spoiled little fart blossom :lmao: I love it.

You're on the plane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah for no braces. Your DD is beautiful.

Sounds like a good start to your trip. We always end up needing to be at the airport before 6am. I would love an 11 flight, but we have a 6+ hour flight to WDW, and hate arriving so late.

Can't wait for your next installment. Trip reports kind of remind me of the old magazine serials. Keeps us waiting for the next part of the story! Lol

Why is is so easy to wake up on VACATION DAY!!! :rotfl2: Nice you see you've made it to the plane, and fed your child. Oh, and your little fart blossom looks very grown up and beautiful with those braces off. princess:
