You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY!!

FWIW, DMRick used the word "jerk" first

Did I actually call her a jerk, or say maybe she's acting like a jerk? If I called her a jerk..I'm off to the corner! Ask my kids..it's all in how you say it, if you don't want to spend time in the corner! LOL

I also thought you were talking about giving her a neutral..not just your response to her neg..but I'm much too lazy to go back and look.

Her email does sound like she's alright with it..but since she neg'd you on the 3rd, and she had since the 27 or 28th to think about it..maybe she thought she had given you enough time in that week. Maybe she didn't understand that you were still on vacation. Did you ask her why the neg? At least you can take your time now..not like she can neg you again.

And last but not least..you have your first neg. Nothing will ever hurt like this again, and you'll never have to worry about getting yoru first neg. Trust me..the second one is a piece of cake, and I hardly noticed it..not even a bump in the road.

[B(6) jennymouse, I was feeling really bad about my mix up. My first response to this mistake was to respond to her email and let her know that I would follow up on it when I got home and had all the information in front of me. I was considering refunding both buyers, but I didn't want to say anything about that until I contacted both buyers and figured out what was going on.[/B]

I know how you're feeling. I felt physically sick when I screwed that up. I thought SURE one of them was going to neg me. Would I have been hurt if the nice lady who told me "No problem, that's okay...." negged me after is was over. You bet, I'd have been just as mad as you are now. But like some here have said, folks looking at your feedback later on will want to see how you handled the situation and you don't want to be judged by something you do out of anger. Even a neutral might be seen by some as retalitory. But, really, it's not the end of the world and you'll feel better about the whole situation before you know it. If you're like me, you'll find yourself being extra extra cautious from now on.

Now, to lighten this thread back up a little, I want to share a photo of my new 7 week old grandbaby. My DD and I think it's hillarious. Her father dressed her. DD nor I would NEVER let her out of the house looking like this:

 Looks like something my DH would pick out. At least he tried, huh? :scratchin She's just such a sweetheart that it doesn't even matter if she's dressed kinda funny! princess:

He said that was her "Hippy Outfit"! He bought that top before she was born and it really is a cute top. But, I guess I just don't think stuff for older girls looks good on babies. And those little Olive Oil legs sticking out and those Santa Clause house shoes! I just crack up every time I look at it! She is a sweetie though. I get to babysit tomorrow while DD goes to the doc. I know, typical grandmother....any excuse to show of the baby pictures!LOL

oh my..it's a good thing she's so cute and can pull it off lol! Congrats..she is a sweet looking gal. If I coulda, I woulda had grands first..and skipped the kids..at least the three teenagers at once.

When I had my last child (way back in '76) my hubby brought my girls to the hospital to meet their new brother in clothes I didn't even know they owned. One had a dress on two sizes too small, and a slip under it 2 sizes too big..and a very dirty lime green coat, that didn't even belong to our family! The other one was all splattered in blue paint, since they were "surprising" me and painting the pink nursery blue (we just figured this one was a girl too!). Neither of their long hair had seen a comb since the day before when I combed it. They both had remnants of their dinner drinks around their mouths..and of course my mom had fed them cherry koolaid. I really was sort of embarrassed to admit they were mine!

LOL! I second that about skipping the kids and get on with the grands! My DD and I have been getting along better since Mom died...for some reason. But we have definatley had our problems. If you ever read my trip report when we came back from our October 2002 trip you already know. It was the trip from you know where! But, now my granddaughters, that's another story. They've totally got me wrapped!

I think she looks a bit like you (the older one, of course). Can't see the baby too well...but lots of hair! lol ;) How old are they?

Skye is 8 and Haley is 7 weeks. Skye is my WDW buddy, she loves it like I do. Haley is my backup for when Skye gets too cool for WDW, although she says she never will.

I have a feeling my eBay sales aren't going to be too good this week. Usually, I get a few bids on things right away after I list and this week I've just got two. Do sales usually fall way off after Christmas?

Beautiful baby!!! I just want to squeeeeeze her! :)

Guess my son-in-law is guilty of felony dressing as well.. My granddaughter has always had like a GAZILLION outfits and whenever my son-in-law had to dress her it was always one of TWO outfits (even after she had outgrown them) - never anything different.. I guess Dad's just don't "get it" - LOL..

As for the question on after Christmas sales - I did really good last week and hopefully will do as well this week.. Not a ton of money, but at least the things sold - which is more than I can say for quite a few weeks in late fall..

(5) disneychrista, thanks for the advise I was looking for :). My new thought is "Shipping mistake. Working w/buyer to correct it to her satisfaction." . Of course, this makes it look like a negative is what gets me to do something. {sigh}

I think I would respond more like 'My shipping error. Agreed resolution w/buyer was already in progress'. Leave out w/buyer if too long?

:p
That baby is a sweetie! But so tiny - get out the dole whips from disney & let's fatten her up a bit!!! I love her top though- it is really cute.

Picked up one feedback from 11/28 tonite - at least some are catching up. I also do not leave feedback until my buyer has left it so I know everything is ok.

Haley is very squeezable! I like to kiss her little neck!LOL

jgates-She's already picked up weight since that photo was taken. Them little legs are already starting to get some rolls! But, I can't wait to take her to WDW and get her a Dole Whip or Mickey Bar. Next year, for sure!

jgates ,
I like the part about "already in progress". That reflects that I was working on it when she neg'd me.

jennymouse,
Haley is a cutie! Babies don't need leg rolls, though! My DD was never a chunky baby. She was in the lower 10th percentile for years and then caught up with the other kids at about 3. Her doctor said she was perfectly normal :).

Jennifer, that picture is hilarious! I have two boys but a friend of mine used to say that she was getting a button to put on her daughter (when appropriate) that said "My Dad Dressed Me Today!" (She needed that button, too!) LOL

Thanks! I needed that laugh this morning! Some of the things men do! I remember a time when my husband took my four year old to soccer and arrived back home without a very expensive sweatshirt. When I asked him why he said my son must have forgotten it. When I questioned why he didn't ensure he had it, he said "It's his sweatshirt, not mine!" Hello! you are the parent; he's a four year old! Crazy!

I recently went through my stuff to see where the feedback stands. Several were missing feedback so I sent an email to them. I just stated that I was looking to close out these items in my files and wanted to be sure that everything was okay prior to doing that. I also stated that feedback certainly was not required but that I wanted to check with them prior to closing my records. Does anyone else do something similar?

Why is it that whenever something of mine posts twice, I am unable to delete it? I get an error message stating I am not authorized to delete my own post.

I can edit though!

Not since my early days when I really wanted the feedback and someone reported me for spamming them LOL.

Sometimes, I don't leave feedback because I'm not thrilled with the condition of the item, or whatever. They don't really deserve a neg because of it, but I just decide not to leave it. However, if they ask me for it..I will leave it..although it's seldom what they had hoped for LOL.

I am trying to relist some things that didn't sell before Christmas. In the original auction I used the "Buy It Now" option but don't want to use it in the relisting. Ebay won't allow me to leave the "Buy It Now" field empty when trying to relist. I keep getting "The Buy It Now price seems to have non-numeric characters. Please enter a valid price." error message. I have tried every way I can think of to edit my relisting to get rid of the "Buy It Now" but it doesn't seem possible. Please help!

Just a quick update on an Ebay purchase I was venting about earlier.........

Purchased a Pal Mickey from a buyer with very little feedback on 12/2, paid immediately with m.o. Emailed around 12/10 to find out when it was sent. I was told it would be sent the on 12/12. Waited until 12/20 and pulled the contact information and called her. She then said that she mailed it 12/16. I waited until 12/30 and called again. At that time she said she had mailed it (but couldn't confirm what date) and when I asked for proof she said she had an insurance receipt. I asked her to send me a copy of the insurance receipt. She emailed me 12/30 and said she mailed it that day. I AGAIN WAITED until 1/5 for the receipt. By then I was completely fed up!! I sent her a mild nasty-gram by email yesterday. No foul language, but I did tell her I was done being a patient fool!! Gave her a last chance to send me a refund or else I was filing mail fraud charges.

LO AND BEHOLD.........what appears in the mail yesterday but my PAL MICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in good working order. With a mailing date of 1/4/2004. And no insurance.

SOOOOO I check my email and she has responded and told me basically to get my "panties out of a bunch" and get a life and to "calm down" and that there was just a "little delay" in getting the item mailed. I personally feel that I was justified in my rant to her. I quite frankly believed by that point that I was never going to see my merchandise or my money ever again. And the fact that I finally received it with a postage date of 1/4 proves that she lied on three separate occasions about mailing it.

ANYHOW........ I'm so happy I got my Mickey for our trip. Just wanted you all to know the outcome.................P:crazy:

Try putting zero's ( 0.00 ) in for the BIN and see if that works. Just make sure it isn't now going to allow a purchase at $0
