Gee - maybe my son-in-law is right - about listing my old 1987 Dodge Lancer that's sitting out in the driveway!!

It still has one "good" side left that wasn't hit..

Right side - hit and run in the parking lot of my old job..

Rear end - hit from behind at the "Cirlce of Death" (DMRick - you should be familiar with that location.. By the college?)

Front end - DH said he had to "run into the supermarket" - and he did - literally.. Smacked right into the front of the store..

It's also two-toned now - the new hood is a different color..

Maybe I could get some of those big flower decals and sell it as a "Love Bug" ???????

:teeth:

I have 11 items up for bid and one of which is a dutch auction for flatware I got for a wedding gift. I just listed it last night and I have a bid already for all of the sets and at $10 per set more than I was asking. WOW.....All my items so far have a total of $370 so far and there is 6 days left on alot of them. Whoo Hooooo....This is awesome. Can't wait to watch and see what happens next.

Well, I guess the negative didn't hurt me much. I just put an item up for a Buy It Now of $105 and it sold 2.5 hours later. That probably indicates that the price was too low, but it was a last minute thing for a friend and I just wanted the darn thing to sell. Fast.

I responded to the negative with "Shipping error. Agreed resolution w/buyer was already in progress." Thanks jgates for the suggestion :). I was going to dawdle and chew on the response for a while, but it had to be done before I listed another item.

Robin, I think that we put more emphasis on the negatives then the people buying or selling to us. When I say "we" I mean the person receiving it. The first time I got a negative, I was outraged. You could find it if you searched through this thread :) I'm glad it all worked out for you, though, and that it hasn't harmed you. Wow, it sounds like a good sale that you made! Way to go!

I asked this question a couple days ago, but I think it got lost in the negative feedback topic. So, I'll ask again. If no one answers this time, my feelings will be hurt :) Just kidding.

I bought a princess dress on ebay. The listing says it if from Walt Disney World. The label says Disney Store. I asked her about it because EVERYTHING that I have bought from WDW says WDW on the label. She says that you can get stuff at WDW that says Disney Store. Is this true? I'm wondering if she bought it at the outlet. It's the plainest looking dress I've ever seen.

That was a great response.. Sounds calm, rational, and very professional.. :)

When I see on a neg on someone I always look to see how they responded and if they sound angry or indignant, I RUN the other way..

I don't think that neg is going to hurt you one bit.. ;)

I am not sure if you can nor not. Would you have bought the dress if you had known it was from the Disney Store and not WDW??

It sounds like the seller was mistaken. Perhaps she said everything Disney is from WDW. Like when people call the Magic Kingdom "Disney World". I think you have a valid reason to work out a return. The quality of clothes from WDW is much higher than the quality from the Disney Store. You were expecting a higher quality garment and may not have bid so much if you knew it was from the DS instead of WDW.

Good luck!

Probably not. I would have spent a little extra and gotten one at WDW. This is the plainest princess dress I've ever seen. The ones they had at the Disney Store this year are beautiful. The picture looks plain, but I was hoping it was the picture. I know, my fault. I guess I can always resell and get one while we are there. I'm just disappointed that it is not from WDW.

Wow! That's great, Martha! You're on a roll now!

robinb-You're response to your neg was perfect and professional. Good job. I don't think that ol' neg is going to hurt you either.

Madi100-If it were me, I don't think I'd ask for a refund. But that's just me. Like robinb said, she probably didn't know the difference. And there was a photo of it. Don't get mad at me, that's just my thoughts on it.

My sales are still looking slow. I sure hope they pick up soon! Gotta get my "food $" before I leave for the world.:D

Jenniemouse, I wouldn't get mad for you giving your opinion. I am going to check the quality of the WDW merchandise when I'm down there and check labels. When I return I'll take care of it. Yes, there was a picture, but the picture didn't show how thin it is. The one they have at Wal-Mart right now is nicer. You can't see the label in the dress in the picture. There are so many Disney "brands" out there, and the quality is not the same. Even the store to WDW is not the same. I have seen the Disney stuff at K-Mart, and I would NEVER buy any of it.

Okay, guys
My kids and I picked up this little item at a thrift store today. It is a plastic bust of one of the Haunted Mansion guys and he sings part of the song. My kids fell in love with it, but I know the honeymoon will wear off soon and I am thinking "ebay!" So, how do I figure out what the darn thing really is? Scrolling through pages and pages of listings is killing me!

Sound familiar to anyone?

Oh my gosh! I just read the listing for the van that Doris posted above. If you have not read it, you have to check it out. I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes. My DD thinks I am off my rocker now, but that is the funniest thing I have read in a long time! What a gem!

I'm so frustrated with my sales.

I was going to take a break from ebay listings in December, over the holidays. I did, from about 12/2-12/18. Then I got the urge to list some more, cleaned up my basement and found a little bit more "junk" that I thought I was going to list, but what I have sold in the past month has gone for the opening bid and nothing more. Plus I have two buyers who said they have paid, but I haven't received their payments (one a money order the other PayPal). Those auctions ended 1-2 weeks ago. I've had to file two NPBA other than these two. Are there a lot of NPB right now or is it me?

I took advantage of the $.01 Gallery, but if the gallery doesn't boost my sales I think I'll walk away from ebay for awhile. I can't afford to continue paying fees for listings without sales to back them up. I've listed my "YOUR NAME" bracelets a number of times (like 4) and have not sold a single one through ebay. I'm hoping the gallery will help me sell something for more than the starting price.

Anyone else experiencing a downturn?

hi everyone! I hope that all of you are keeping warm! its way way below freezing here! I was away for New Years in the Playa Del Carmen Mexico area for 1 week for New Years! had a great time, but I dont think that I would pay that kind of $$ again during holiday time, the airlines have cut back so so much, we even had to pay $1.00 for a soda! & we paid top $$ for our trip!

I just wanted to thank everyone on this board for all of the tips etc etc on Ebaying! Between all of your successes & the fellows at the US post office that I go to (Im in Canada) well all of you have encourage me to try Ebay! What I am learning is well, if you dont think that it will sell, well it probably will! I started just before Xmas & I am up to about $1200 so far in sales-well not all have paid, have had 1 that was suspended, found out when I went to send the invoice. So I have to figure out what to do with that one Mostly everyone has paid right away, in fact last nite not even 10 min after 1 of my auctions ended , i got an email, saying that it was paid! I am now up to 5 positives! woohhoo! for me.
The best part of being away is that I was making $$!
So far (I have a business) I have been selling stuff that hasnt been selling well in my shop, ie im clearing the stuff out, therefore, the low low starting prices. Contd

I relisted 2 prs mondor tights & 1 pr sold-in fact had 6 bids, so you never know. I guess that the key is not to worry until the auctions are over & then do the relist? I did sign up for Premier Paypal account, which i think helps tons. All of my skating ddresses, except maybe for 2 have sold, they were just hanging for a long time, no interest in this area.!
My ? to all of you longtime & new Ebayers (my family thought @ 1st that I was crazy but now they ask how the auctions are doing) are any of you actually going out & making purchases sales, thrift store or clearouts & then selling the products on Ebay? I have a lot contacts for discountinued new clothing-1st quality, but not name brand like nike , anyways, do you think that that stuff will sell? I thought that maybe there was way too much clothing listed already. How do they find a needle in a haystack?
Oh I started listing yda @ 1pm & finished 1am, listed over 100 items.! Well, good luck & happy Ebaying to all of you. Val S.

I'm glad my feedback suggestion worked out well for you!!! Maybe that would be an auction! 1001 Feeback Responses! $9.95! ;) ;)

I know they had a ton of princess dresses the first time I went to the LBV CC outlet but at that time I didn't buy any - they were only about 1/2 off so I wouldn't have made much. However, the last trip they had NONE! And it was the same time of year within a week or two.

Just as a note - I have cleared about $225 over the last month or so. Not the best total, but it paid for one night at Royal Pacific @ $187 (including tax) - it's killing me to pay that much for a room for one night (and we're staying 3!)

AAHHHH, I lost my magnetic Mickey on the back of my van. The kids got it for me while we were at WDW in December and put it in my Christmas stocking. I must have lost it in the carwash. I am so p'oed. I hope they don't notice until I can figure out how to get another one.

Sorry this had nothing to do with ebay, but this is the only thread I really post to anymore--until I start planning another trip!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!

I've lost too many of those magnetic Mickeys!!! I think someone takes them off, I did not even gp through the car wash and the last one was only on for a week. I finially got the license frame last year, it won't go anywhere!
