Just remember it is a 2.9% fee plus an additional $.30.
Which is still dirt cheap on a $10 item, for the convenience, and if it means that someone bid $10 instead of $5 (or not at all), because they can use their credit card, it's worth it IMO. That makes it .59..so on $10 items have a handling charge of .75.
ON a $20 item, that's just $.78..you can have a handling fee of $1.00, and put the extra towards eBay. Or you can have two different Paypal accounts (need two different checking accounts, and screen names) and ask those who aren't using a credit card to use the other account. That saves some, however doesn't help when people pay from thelink on the auction.
It sure beats the fees on one bounced check (along with the loss of the item, if you don't hold the checks), cuts down on paperwork, and gets the item out of your house...and many, many people, have seen their sales go up, if people can buy with credit card.
Remember, not everyone will pay by Paypal, so that extra handling fee, helps go towards your eBay fees on those sales paid with by check etc.
I'm paying 2.2%, so it's even better. Here is how you can get that rate:
