You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY Part 2!!!!

Spare dollar wasn't much better tonite. I don't know what the problem is. All their auctions were ending with the photos missing and people were getting very upset as of course it was costing them bids!!! Luckily I didn't launch until tonite and now photos all appear to be working.

Course then I went to check my airline fares and my rates have gone up another $50 on the flight I wanted in the last 2 or 3 days. I will now be forced to take one with a connection and probably lose my bumping chances. I just can't do the other $100 for the two of us right now. I could just cry. Live and learn........

C. Ann,

I was having problems with Turbo Lister also. I finally got all my auctions to list, but two of them I had to revise.

When it was time to download them, first it would tell me auction 7 had an error. Then once I fixed what I thought was wrong (it kept telling me invalid verb?), download would restart and it would say the same thing about auction 4. Repeat. Then auction 8.
I went through that 5 times before it would download.

Then it put the decimal point in my handling fee in the wrong place. Instead of $1.00 or whatever, it was showing up as $100.

I had to go through this morning and double check all my auctions.
It was just testy last night.

Somewhere on the old thread, someone posted that they were able to set up separate folders on Turbo Lister to divide up their items. into categories, i.e., Christmas stuff, summer, winter. I want to move all of the items for fall/winter/Christmas so that I don't have to keep arrowing thru them for the new spring/summer stuff I put into Turbo Lister.

If anyone understands what I am trying to say and knows how to do that, please let me know.

Thanks!!

I usually send the invoice as soon as the auction ends. I can't tell how many buyers contact me looking for the S&H!! Its really a pain!

Thanks for this thread! I plan to start using Ebay soon for selling, so I will definately be around here looking for help!

I had some auctions close on Saturday - planning to run out to the post office this morning. Question - I have a buyer who won one of my auctions & wants to know how much to ship to France. I clearly state in my auctions that I do not ship outside the US (not really sure why not, but I notice a lot of people don't so I just followed suit :) ) My question is what do I do? Do I not sell to this person & eat the cost of the listing & final value fees? Or do I simply ignore my own rule and ship this item to France? How do I calculate the shipping cost ahead of time? How is it different shipping outside the country than within the US? Is it a big hassle? Just wondering why people don't ship outside the US.

RE: shipping overseas - I never did it, then a guy from England bid on one of my things. (Argh! Bid before he emailed me to see if I would ship there!) Anyway, he gave me this site - http://ircalc.usps.gov/ - to calculate international shipping. I also have shipping assistant to help out. He ended up winning, so I had to pick up a Global Priority Mail envelope and fill out a small customs form. Wasn't hard at all! But it was just a small booklet, not a package. He did ask me to declare the value as less than $30 to avoid custom fees or something - I don't know what I would have done if the booklet wasn't only valued at $15. And now I offer international shipping, since it wasn't too bad. But I do state clearly in the auction that quoted rates are for US s/h only!!

I also had problems with Turbolister last night uplaoding - it kept saying I had weird errors (missing verb, etc.) But everything uploaded... I should check my shipping to make sure the handling didn't get changed!

Definately double check your auctions if you used Turbo Lister.

When I saw the mistakes in mine, I was like :earseek: !

No way someone would want to bid on baby toys then spend $150 or more for shipping.

For the time being I will be loading my auctions one at a time.

I usually use air letter post..it's very inexpensive...not much different from sending within the states. I ship to most countries. I also, never state the item as anything other than what it is..always merchandise, and the price they paid (w/o shipping).

Is there a special envelope or anything for air mail? Or do you just pack it regular and get a customs form at the PO? And yeah, I would be uncomfortable stating that the item was anything other than what is was...

Have a question. This is the 1st time that something like this has happened to me and I need advice.

i had an auction end last night and the lady paid me through paypal. then tonight she paid me again a second time through paypal. So she has double paid. What do I do about this?? any help ...please.... and thank you:confused:

First email her and confirm that she paid twice - are there two transaction numbers? I had this hapen before and the buyer emailed me to advise me ahead of time. Simply process a refund through the PayPal site.

Nope!!! I sent a couple of books in a regular Kraft Express Bubble mailer envelope. Just got positive feedback today (they went to Germany).

REading this board for mths off and on i finally decided to take the plunge. Today I set up my first auctions. Jumped in with both feet with 6 to start with. I may add a few more during this week if i can get things together. Figured it would be good to teir them so i am not swamped with them all ending the same days.
Wish me luck!! Hope I am as lucky on ebay as some of you all have been! Thanks for all the info , I am sure i will be asking more...... :teeth:

Just ot give everyone a heads up that the Paypal feature very similiar to stamps.com is now available.

We were packing up our auctions last night, and noticed this feature.

For priority and express the cost is FREE. For eveyrthing else there is a .20 cent lablel generation fee. This label is prepaid (no lines at the PO), hides postage (great feature very similiar to stamps.com) and it comes straight from your paypal account. (that helps me organize fees/and find my "net" profit)

This service is very similiar to stamps.com. The stamps.com price was $15/month not including postage.

As a seller you would obvioiusly have to weigh the options on this, but to not stand in line at the PO is great for me. Today I have about 50 lbs of things, so if I stand in line it gets hideous QUICK!
