You Guys Part of the Family? You've Got the Magic In Your Eyes!!->Updated 10/19x3!!!!

Ah free food (kinda)... Nice!

I think I've been one of the anti-hat people but I really don't hate it. I just don't like the location. If it didn't block the Chinese Theatre, I'd think I'd be okay with it.

I so do love that little blue gate at TSM.

I've only seen the Voyage of the Little Mermaid once and was shocked at how short it was. I agree that it would be an ok replacement locale for Tangled. Sadly it doesn't look good and BATHB is on its way out. :sad1:

OK, time to start the May/June TR! It doesn't feel right only having one (not counting the PTR of course)!!

I'm pretty neutral on the hat too. I think it's because I don't remember the park without the hat so it doesn't bother me.

A Toy Story themed room does sound pretty awesome! Maybe if I have a son one day that's what I'll do :lmao:

That's awesome that you walked right on TSMM! :thumbsup2 Those do look like excellent scores!

I love those Magic Shots. I really want to get more of them in September.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I totally agree about the unrealistic hair ideas from Disney.

That is weird for the friends of Ariel. I wonder why :confused3 I agree about replacing the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Like, I love the Little Mermaid and all but 17 minutes is a little too short.

Hi Katt! I'm caught up now. How good for your guys that your mom didn't use all of her dining credits. :thumbsup2 The only time I had a dining plan we left WDW with 6 meal credits and 1 snack on our plan. Bummer!

Yay for TSM not once but TWICE! Great score. I think my hand/eye coordination needs a little work.

Ok, I'm stepping up and admitting that I like the DHS hat. They would have to have something pretty iconic to replace it to make me happy with any changes.

That Ariel was tiny! Sheesh! I love her hair too. :lovestruc

Have a great week kiddo!

I have been a lurker (gasp!) for several years now on the boards. For some reason, I never spent much time on the trip report boards. I am now obssessed!! :rotfl2: And I have finally decided that I want to start posting on the boards and start writing a PTR for my October trip. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your TR from the airport drama in the beginning to the very end!

Ahaha, well glad you came on over here! The trip reports are my favorite part, glad you've been enjoying them!!

For some reason my photopass pictures with that Hollywood Studios gate always look so frumpy, but yours look great! Especially the magic shots.

I love a lot of things Ariel, but that little show in DHS is seriously lacking. Probably my least favorite show of all WDW. I really will not be disappointed when they replace it, and I like you I'd prefer they keep Beauty & the Beast over it.

Bahaha, and we're huge frumps, so I don't know how that happened! Thanks! Haha

I would not be too sad to see it go....

I love that bellhop CM from the Tower of Terror! I totally remember seeing him. He was so into the role and ambiance of the attraction. Absolutely flawless.
I love, love, LOVE your idea about if they want to replace a show at HS then keep Beauty and the Beast and change out Voyage of the Little Mermaid to Tangled. I'm a fan of that idea! :cool1:

Ahaha, he's totally great!! I'm hoping they keep BaTB for at least another while, but they're audition dancers later this month, so I don't see it going anywhere soon!

Ahhaa, totally counts as free food!! Yeah, I just don't really care either way with the hat haha. I'm sure if I had seen DHS without it I'd feel different.

I also feel like Tangled wouldn't be great as a stage show...just sayin...put something like DLR has put into their theater's recently, the variety of princess shows (where there are two equity dancers and two equity singers/actors, the pricnesses are all part of the "face character" roster, thus easier to cast} or like Mickey and the Magical Map, lol.

Aahhaha, sometime in the next few weeks I'll start on it!

Exactly!! Aw man, every room in my house, once I own, will be themed, no doubt!!

Definitely!!

Aahaahah, yes, and man, like, LM was so awesome, but the DHS show just is so not!

Awesome!! Glad you're here to read along!!

That's insane!! I originally thought we would have some left over in Sept and just be able to "pay" for someone else's meal, but then I booked us at a two credit resturant... :rolleyes1

Haha, yeah, if they just took down the hat, it would kinda be empty feeling down there, sure there's the theater, but it would feel liek something was missing, that's for sure!

Thanks! You too!

Just had to comment because of your CM encounter at TOT! I sometimes wonder how many random photos and videos we are in. People liked to take pictures with us...I think it was the hat and coat :rotfl: But it's so funny to see people I've worked with in people's TRs! I love it. I didn't work with Justin long but I do know he is one of the best bellhops. He can play the part so well and his theming is fantastic! :goodvibes

Awesome!! I always wonder that, I always get excited reading about character greets recently to see if I'll know any of the friends hanging out with the characters and will be able to pass along any kind words! It's awesome!! Justin was seriously great! We were sad to not see him again while we were there!

Paige and I got over to the Beauty and the Beast theatre right at 11:08 and got some front row seats! Yaaaay!

Throughout the show, she definitely proved herself! She was amazing, a new one that I’d never seen before, but a great actress and a good singer! Yay! Gotta love it when people are fantastic at what they do!

Oh hey Gaston! He was the same as the other ones I had seen previously, but he’s still great, and attractive, and can sing, so that’s really all you need to do, right!? Lawl. Here come my favorite ladies!

I just think it would be so much fun to be one of these girls! I wish they would bring one of them out with the expansion stuff, have her greet with Gaston randomly, it’d be great! I mean, they’d have to officially give her a name…I don’t know how well Bimbette would go over as an actual name. Lawl.

Some may say the one arm up in the air might be a little bit over dramatic, but I really liked it, it was a change from what pretty much every other “Broadway” singer does, and hey, isn’t the point of theatre to be larger than life!? Heehee.

51-2.jpg

Let the dancing begin!! When Be Our Guest starts, it’s a lot easier to tell which dancers are which (and a lot of the time they have the same colors on) and I was really happy to see that my 2 favourite dancers were out today! One of them has been around for quite a while, and in my opinion she looks an awful lot like Chelsie Hightower (from SYTYCD and Dancing with the Stars) and the other one is (from what I can tell) newer, as of this year? And she’s just super awesome and adorable with the faces she makes!

Man, this show is really one that I wish they sold the soundtrack for, cause it’s all edited, so you can pretend you’re listening to it, but you really aren’t. They sell Festival of the Lion King CDs, I wish they had these ones for sale too! ETA: I've managed to get it off youtube since typing this up, but the "soundtrack" version that has no audience noise in it also doesn't have the Belle reprise in it...BOO

The show ended and Paige and I were both pretty happy, we’d seen a good show with a great cast, and now it was onto our next adventures of the day!!

That close up of Belle... you can really see a passion in her eyes. But then maybe it's just me. :confused3

Haha, I'd totally be down for a M&G with a Bimbette.

Gahhh you take such great pictures!!! It's almost like being there.

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite show at the parks!! I just love everything about it!

Your pictures were great! Front row works nicely for that! I'd like to see all the characters do a meet and greet... Especially Mrs. Potts! Hehehehe

Awesome pics! :)

Thanks!!

I love it!! FOTLK is probably the top one for me, BUT, Batb wins a very close second. I would LOVE to get a special meet and greet, that'd be totally amazing!

Exactly!! Like, she was great, which is impressive as I' usually really only like the one girl bahaha

Aahahaha yes! They need to be out

Aha, thank you!!

Paige and I slowly left the Beauty and the Beast theatre with the crowd and headed back over to our absolute favorite hotel to stay in! When we got up to the wait time board, we noticed that it was at 55 minutes, EGADS!! Well, what would we do? Luckily for us, a lovely couple was about to leave the park, and gifted us some fast passes that were valid for right then!! Have I told you lovely people who do that how much I love you?! (and yes, I also do it a lot, as much as I can!)

69-3.jpg

I quickly became the photobomber in this instance…. We ended up walking straight into the library, and were not far behind the big wait after that point!

70-3.jpg

After killing some time hanging out in the boiler room, Paige and I boarded our elevator after a 10 minute wait! Heck yes! I’m very glad we didn’t have to wait the full 55 minutes, that would have just sucked, thank you pixie dusted fast passes! Now, to fully understand the title of the chapter, I guess I’ll explain that we had went on ToT MANY times this trip, in that day in fact that we were VERY used to the LEFT TO RIGHT spiel they give on the seatbelts, I mean, they say it a lot, so we started jokingly asking each other which direction the seat belts went.

71-3.jpg

In case you’re wondering the seatbelts go left to right! Bahahah. We headed down towards Starring Rolls to check out what the wait for lunch would be, and the line was way out the door! Guess word of it being one of the best counter service places in DHS is spreading! We opted out of some noms in the park, and decided that now would be a good time to spend some time back at the hotel relaxing and swimming and of course, eating!

We hit up the food court right away when we got back to Art Of Animation since that seemed like the logical decision, we were both hungry, and it was much closer to the bus stop than our room! Bahaha!

I got the build your own burger, since they have lots of yummy selections that you can but on it. I’m pretty sure mine was beef, with cheese, bacon, probably some lettuce & tomato and maybe some onion, and I know I got some of the black bean salsa on it! Yum! It came with fries, and I got little mini cupcakes for dessert (and it looks like some kinda iced tea to drink)

72-3.jpg

Paige got the chicken burger with fries, an orange juice, and little mini cheesecakes!

73-3.jpg

I really liked my burger, and the fries were your usual Disney fries, yum yum! Paige however wasn’t the hugest fan of her chicken burger, she said it didn’t really taste like chicken…it tasted like cheap burger meat, yuck. She did like the dessert though!

74-3.jpg

And my cupcakes, heck yes they were delicious! There was 1 red velvet, 1 chocolate, 1 carrot cake, and 1 like the little birthday cupcakes they give you. These are all of my favorite things, if you asked me to choose between them, I’d have to throw one at you because I just couldn’t choose! Lawl.

We finished up with lunch, and headed back to the room for some relaxing/digesting. I think we both took some time to upload some pictures before changing into swim suits and grabbing our towels & refillable mugs, and headed down to the Big Blue Pool!

Paige and I had doddled our way back to our room, changed into swim suits, grabbed towels and our mugs and headed down to the pool. We did have the Flippin Fins pool right out by our room, but when there’s a chance to hear Finding Nemo characters under the water, which pool are you going to go to?! Exactly my thoughts! We stopped to fill up our mugs from the food court, and then entered the gated pool (I’ve heard some people needing their key cards to get into the pool, but we certainly didn’t!)

IMG_2044.jpg

I had only taken my cell phone down to take pictures with, I didn’t want to risk my camera getting stolen…but apparently am okay with the phone going missing? Haha, we kept an eye on our stuff while we were out swimming anyways, so it was okay!

IMG_2046.jpg

We spent some time just kicking around in the pool, and of course, both dunked under the water a bunch to see what we could hear! Sadly, we didn’t hear any characters, just a lot of music, which was still pretty cool! At some point well we were splashing around, Paige turned to me and was all “Oh my God! You’ve got a wasp in your hair!” AAAAHHH

Let me tell you, I am NOT a fan of buzzing bugs, and (surprisingly) even with going to/working at summer camp for over 10 years, I have only been stung once! I didn’t want it to happen again right now. UGH. I frantically asked Paige to make sure it wasn’t just a love bug, but it was in fact a wasp, and after a more detailed look, she noticed it was not on, but TWO! With enough freaking out, I managed to get the hair elastic out of my hair and as a very freaked out team, we managed to swish my hair around in the water and get rid of the wasps. Talk about adrenaline rush!!

After a little bit more swimming, we decided we would grab our drinks and take a little tour of Art of Animation! I’ll tell ya now, some of these pictures are pretty bad, but since I was using my phone, I couldn’t even see the screen because of the sun at some points! Ha!

IMG_2050.jpg

I really have a love for Finding Nemo now, so it was really cool to be walking through all these giant sculptures of them! When we reached the back of the Nemo section, we took a right and headed over to the Cars section!!

IMG_2053.jpg

IMG_2054.jpg

I actually have never seen Cars, (I was in the process of trying to find it on Netflix, but just found “Disney World Behind the Scenes” instead…) I do want to see it, but I guess it just hasn’t really grabbed me enough, plus with all the movie rental places down, I can’t rent it bahaha.

That being said, of course I know who Mater & Lightning McQueen are, but that’s about it!

The area is still really themed well! I really do love this resort, and taking a little tour around it reminded me about how awesome it was! I mean, come on, it’s a VALUE resort, but everything is so well themed, and so Disney themed, and it’s all so new, bright and colorful, it’s amazing!

With our little tour of the resort over, Paige and I headed back to the room and just hung out. We said that it would definitely be a good time for a nap, but let’s be serious, there was internet, and I have a tumblr, and a disboard account, and just simply uploading photos can take a long time! We sat around for a couple of hours just relaxing, which was super nice for me to regroup for the next couple of days! Soon enough, our break was over and we started to get ready for heading back to Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic!

Nice job on the ToT fastpasses. Nice pixie dust there... or maybe they thought you were a CM. Haha, and awesome photobomb!

If Paige's chicken was the same as the one at had at POP (which is likely), then I heartily conquer. Not good.

Nice bird's eye view at the pool. I haven't seen a lot of those at all.
AoA really is a fabulously done resort. So much to look at.

Front row seats to BatB must be a great view. The pictures are gorgeous and Belle looks perfect so I'm glad she was! It would be smart of Disney to sell the soundtrack. I'm surprised they don't. :confused3

Yay for people spreading FP pixie dust! pixiedust:

The mini cupcake and cheesecakes at AoA look so delicious right now. I think one day we're gonna head over from Pop to eat at the AoA food court!

:rotfl2: I do things like with my camera all the time. I leave it behind saying "I don't want to ruin it or have it get stolen". Then I realize, my phone is more expensive than my camera :confused3 Maybe it's just the idea of not having anything that isn't essential.

I haven't seen Cars either! I need to work on that.

Thanks!! Haha, either way, at least we got some fast passes! Hah thanks!!

Probably the same, I didn't taste it at all but I'm sure it wasn't that good, which sucks!

Thanks!! There were definitely some awesome statues at AoA! I love that resort so much! There's so much to look at and it makes me love it so much!

Thanks! I love managing to get front row seats there! It's awesome. It may not have been my favorite Belle but she was still great! Which is always lovely!

DEFINITELY take a walk over to AoA, I think that's where I'm staying after the 19th too, so you'll have a hook up to look inside the rooms too lol! And possibly a suite!! :yay: Still figuring out things now..

I've had such bad luck with my cameras in the past I just don't ever want to risk doing something that could lose it ever again! I'd much rather lose my phone with the insanely cracked screen and half broken lock and home button...:lmao:

Yes! We definitely are going over to AoA at some point this trip cause we didn't in January and I'm still sad about it. If that's where you'll be staying, we'll either do it twice or wait until the end to go over! :cool1:
