It was awesome! We were so lucky that they changed everything around just for us. :goodvibes

I completely agree. I loved it there! She was SO FUNNY. Luckily I caught a little bit on video! My camera was acting up but I managed to get a split second shot of her! :thumbsup2

The One With A Series of Unfortunate Events

December 16, 2011

After our delicious lunch at 50's Prime Time, we headed out to see where HOLLYWOOD would take us! OH. And I forgot to mention that our awesome cousin Angela thought we were cast members! She was very surprised when she found out that we weren't! (Can't believe I forgot to mention that. I mean it's not like it's the title of this TR or anything. I'm losing it, yall.)

The Pixar Pals: Countdown to Fun parade was starting soon, so we decided to try to get a spot for it. It was ridiculously easy to get spots! There were tons of spots available at the last minute in a perfect location: right in front of Walt Disney's BUST! I mean, I know this isn't the Magic Kingdom parade, but I was still surprised we got such great spots!

WALT IN BUST FORM!!! I do adore that man.

Here's where things start to get a little, well, awful. (I've been leaving subtle or maybe not-so-subtle hints that I was not feeling well on purpose. I didn't want it to just BAM come out of nowhere and catch you off guard. I was hoping to soften the blow a little bit. Did it work? Did you even notice? Am I still talking in parenthesis? Ahem.)

I have a very weak stomach. I always have. I have no clue why. There's no medical term for it, it's not a condition, it just IS what it is. I had been looking forward to getting Dad's Brownie Sundae at 50's Prime Time since we booked the ADR, and even though I had not eaten even half of it, it affected me. It was all my fault, and I knew I shouldn't have done it, but I did. I can blame only myself. If I was, say, a psychic like Raven, or Karen from Mean Girls, and I had been able to foresee what exactly would happen, I would have probably said to myself:

"Self, don't do it. It might look delicious, and it might taste delicious. It might even have pieces of caramel corn on top (which I still don't really understand). But you know what will happen! It's happened before! DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!"

Unfortunately, my That's So Raven-ness ESPN was nowhere to be found. I can be really stupid. I mean, I knew I had already been feeling bad, and I had been parched all day. For some reason, those things just didn't add up at that moment. :headache: (Please don't feel sorry for me, it's really all my fault.) So while we were waiting for the parade to start, I began to feel... iffy.

The parade started, and it was so much fun! I didn't like it as much as the Block Party Bash, but I LOVED that they added in the characters from Up and Ratatouille! I didn't get any pictures of the parade (for hopefully obvious reasons) but here are the ones Sally took:

Boo! She's too adorable.

My boys. :cool2:

Anyways, during the parade (which I really did enjoy!!!) I just kept feeling worse and worse. I knew what was coming. But I was watching a Disney World parade. You think I'm just gonna leave in the middle? PSHHHHHH! Of course not! So basically, as soon as the parade ended, I turned to Kristen and said "I'VE GOTTA GO TO THE BATHROOM BYE!!!!"

I have no idea if she even heard me, and I have to wonder if she thought I was crazy, but I couldn't wait any longer.

I basically RAN to the nearest bathroom and immediately... got sick. I got a text from Amanda wondering what the heck happened to me, so I filled her in. She told me that she and Jenelle were going to ride Star Tours again, and everyone else had gone to ride Tower of Terror.

After what felt like a year, I was finally feeling much better, (temporarily... yes, this is another subtle or not-so-subtle clue) so I made my way out of the bathroom. I was guessing it was too late to join Amanda and Jenelle for Star Tours, so tried to find a place to sit near the ride, where we could find each other when they were done.

The nearest place I could find with an empty seat was the Backlot Express, so I went over to an empty table and sat down. Luckily, I had the Jedi Training Academy to keep me occupied!

Oh snap yall, it's Vader! (Those pictures are EXTREMELY zoomed, just FYI.)

It was so cute watching the little Jedis battle Darth Vader with their lightsabers. While I was watching, I started going through my park bag to get things organized. Those bags tend to get extremely unorganized throughout the day! So I went through all my stuff to try to straighten everything up, and I suddenly got that sinking feeling...

I COULDN'T FIND MY MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY TICKET.

Continued in Next Update

UUggghhh. Sorry that you were sick! Sometimes a girl needs her brownie sundae whether it's a good idea or not.

It is a cute parade, I love all those Pixar characters.

I'm sensing some drama about to unfold..... You didn't have your ticket? Crap!

Oh no...I hate when stomach issues get in the way at Disney. I have a very sensitive stomach too. I can't have anything too acidic, not to much dairy, very little fried food, and no pop or anything really super sweet. Sometimes though I just neeed to have it and then end up feeling gross afterwards! I hope you get better throughout your day!!!

A few weeks ago when I was in Disney, a lot of people thought I was a CM too! It must be our age and our wise wisdom of Disney :)

Glad we are following each other on twitter!! Looking forward to reading more!!!!

Oh ..... total bummer that you were sick. That is really horrible. I hope you found your ticket and if not, I am sure they were able to print up put another .....

I hope you got to feeling better .....

Okay, mega wompwomp that you ended up getting sick. That is NEVER fun to be sick in Disney World. :(

That parade looks fun, though Mr. Potato Head is looking a little unwell. :rotfl: That made me laugh out loud, no lie.

I wish I could see the characters from Ratatouille! Maybe we'll watch that parade during our next trip!

Aaaand this update ends on a bad note, sooo I hope you find your ticket or can at least get it replaced! Talk about a cliffhanger!

Nice pictures of time in Hollywood. Too bad you weren't feeling well.

I am doing a Toy Story theme in my classroom next year. If I could only borrow that float........ I might be able to really get the kids' attention!

Oh no!!! I'm sorry to hear you got sick! I'd say I hope you felt better soon, but that foreshadowing is making me thing otherwise...

Ahhh your ticket!!! I hope it was just temporarily hiding in a pocket or something!

I find it weird that those things are called "busts". I prefer the term "Head Statue". Yes, so much better!

I'm sorry you were sick. I don't blame you at all for eating the sundae, though! I often go overboard on Disney food so I understand. At least you still enjoyed that parade. I loved it too!

Such a bummer you got sick after eating all that yummy food! Oh well, you know I got sick in the middle of the night my last trip from mixing too many different types of alcohol (at least thats what I think it was).

I hope you recover FAST, but the missing party ticket has me a little concerned!

Oh No!:( I hate to hear anyone getting sick at Disney. I hope it was a one time thing.

Please don't have lost your tickets!!:worried:

YAY for a good parade spot! :thumbsup2 Nothing like watching with ol' Walt himself. Well, at least his bust.

HAHA WHAT. This parade is a mess, bless its heart. :lmao: Mr. Potato Head's eye is killing me. Come on Pixar pals, get it together! :rolleyes2

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your bubble guts. :( I do that all the time- jalapeno peppers tear me up, but I just can't stop eating them. It's awful, but worth it at the same time. When will we learn, girl?

I hope you stayed all better, but your foreshadowing is hinting that you didn't. :worried:

Oh no, that's horrible! I have gotten sick in WDW before, but never in a park. I couldn't imagine what that felt like.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your bubble guts. :(

Ok, I have to admit that I've been a serial lurker on this TR and therussells08 TR. I also have to admit that I laughed out loud at this portion of her comment for seriously 5 minutes :lmao: I have never heard such a hilarious way to refer to nausea!!! I mean, anything with the word "bubble" is instantly better in my opinion, so it sounds so much better that way!! :)

And I've also decided that if we were to ever end up at WDW at the same time, we would have a BLAST! ::yes:: It's rare to find someone who gets as excited about anything Disney as I do, and when I found the Dis, I was like "aaaaahhhhh, these are my people!!!", but reading about all your enthusiasm sounds EXACTLY like me. (I do have to say I was super lucky to marry someone who gets as excited as I do about these things, we are seriously 8 year-olds trapped in the bodies of 28 year-olds! :yay:)

So I'm super excited to read the rest of your TR, but super sad it doesn't sound like things are going well :worried:

First off, great update! (even though, it sucks that you got sick at WDW :()

Secondly, you can't blame yourself for eating dessert; it's Disney World--people should blame themselves for NOT eating dessert! :rotfl:

But, I do hope that the "sickness"didn't last long for you! That has to be the worst- being sick at your favorite place in the world! (but I guess it beats being sick somewhere else!lol---sorry for my random sidenotes today! haha)

Also, I hope you found your party ticket!!! That's some scary stuff right there! Nice cliff hanger! haha:goodvibes

That is a bummer you got sick. :( I probably would've been panicking if I couldn't find the bathroom.

On the bright side, atleast you got to see the parade and watch the little Jedis. That always brings a smile to my face. They're too cute.

Uh oh, you couldn't find your party ticket?! :scared1: That doesn't sound good but I'm guessing it turns out OK...(I hope so!).

Yes I am. I currently work at GMR

My 5 year old granddaughter has become infatuated with that ride, for some reason. She wants to ride it 2-3 times every time we go to Hollywood Studios. We'll be back down in six weeks. I'll have to keep my eye out for you, if you are still there, on one of our many turns.

Nothing wrong with that! :thumbsup2
