Honestly, I really didn't want to bother with Epcot next time around. Neither of our kids (they'll be 10 and 7) are big on thrill rides, they HATED Test Track, and I really didn't plan on doing World Showcase because of the heat (summer visitors), so I figured maybe we'd just skip it. Do a half day at the very most. However, so many of you here encouraged me not to skip it... I took another look at it... and yeah... I don't know what I was thinking, lol. We missed so much last time, and now I'm guessing we'll want at least a day there. Maybe more? (feel free to chime in with your thoughts on that, lol). I can see us doing:

- Figment and Image Works
- Spaceship Earth and Project Tomorrow
- Soarin'
- Living with the Land
- Character Spot M&G
- The Seas & Turtle Talk (I can see us spending a lot of time there, my kids love aquariums)
- Frozen Ever After
- A&E M&G
- Gran Fiesta Tour

and if we're already in WS, I know my son will want to explore China (he's fascinated with China), so I'm guessing we would add on:

- Mulan M&G
- Jeweled Acrobats
- Agent P in China

and... we never saw them last time, but I saw some pictures recently, and I really want to see IllumiNations this time around. :) So add that. I can also see them enjoying the Advanced Training Lab, but I really have no desire to walk all the way over there, just for that.

So congrats, DISers... you sold me on Epcot :)

Congratulations, I think you'll enjoy it and it looks like you have a packed day. It was always my son's favorite park when he was little and still is now that he is an adult. You might be surprised how much your kids enjoy WS, there are street shows in just about every country and they have kidcot there.

It's my favorite park and we are really focusing on it next trip. We didn't plan very well last year and I am still aggravated about how much we missed. This is a big reason why we chose Boardwalk for next year. We plan on at least 2 full days and maybe an evening hop since we will be there during Christmas party season.

We loved the Canada film, getting a cronut, eating our weight in pastries and ice cream in France, the drummers in Japan, the shopping in UK.

Our best character meets were in Epcot: Mulan, Mary Poppins, Belle, Daisy, and Visa with Mickey and Goofy. It's my favorite park for characters!

I hope you all enjoy it!

We always love it (and my favorite park, hence my name)

We love Epcot! There is so much there to see and do. World of color is an exhibit that we are excited to check out in August. Our 8 yr old can't wait to paint everything with the magic paintbrush! Check out the YouTube videos, it looks great!

Is that going to be a temporary thing?

I think that you will be happy! I love Epcot. My family spends a lot of time just wandering through the countries, and enjoying the shows as they happen. We never miss any of the attractions in The Land or in The Living Seas. I think I am the last one who still entered Circle of Life! LOL!!! The kids will like Spaceship Earth as well. It is like CofP o the People Mover, Classic Disney! While you are in FW, take them into Club Cool for a break. They can sample Coke products from around the World.

If your child loves China, you might want to add in the China movie, as well. My daughter loves the movies in World Showcase.

Oooh, they would love that! (the pop) we rarely let them drink pop so it would be a real treat.

Yes we saw that last time and we all really enjoyed it. So beautiful!

I think you'll be surprised by how much air conditioning there is at Epcot. My ice packs in my son's cooling vest last the longest at Epcot.

What about the Kidcot stops? Would they be interested?

Yes they would, though I think they'd enjoy Agent P more. Which we'll definitely do in China.

I too would second , doing multiple Agent P adventures...They're all different at each country and actually have different missions within a country... Lots of fun for young & uhm--> not so young..LoL Also Love the British Revoulution...Although your kids maybe not so much... Also we always had a lot of fun in Innoventions, but not sure what's still left in there.. Either way Go at a nice leisurely pace, and enjoy.

consider Agent P World showcase adventre also. It's a detective game that engages kinds in each country a little more. you'll probably have the opposite effect of your child telling you to follow them around world showcase :)
This.....Especially Germany , France & UK.

I thought that they were going to be closing this once The Coca cola store in DS was set to open.... I could've sworn I heard or read it somewhere & remembering being upset about it.... I could be wrong.Anyone else with any other info, feel free to Add..

Gosh, I hope not!

I find I always want at least a day, but often just a little bit more in Epcot. On trips with less time for Epcot (I now know to plan more time there than any other park due to our families preferences), I have hopped over after our rest day for dinner, or even just a trip to Les Halle's and a walk around the world. If your kids are interested in China, they will also likely love the Japan Pavillion. If possible, give yourself some unstructured time (preferably after dark in the hot summer) just to wander and enjoy! On our upcoming 4.5 day trip, we will be at Epcot for 3 half days and two pop-ins for a meal or 1 attraction.

Good choice!

We love WS! I know it's hot, but take breaks in the AC and drink water!

I have always traveled a lot and mother thought it great education. WS isn't the same as traveling to Europe, but it's still an education!

When we went (I was 11 and a total ride wimp) my favorite thing in the whole of WDW was American Adventure. I saw it 3 times!
