You convinced me on Epcot...

I strongly recommend the Voices of Liberty at the American Adventure. Sit under the rotunda and enjoy the singing!

And the 'Impressions de France' movie, although dated, is beautiful. I'm trying to check off as many destinations in that movie as possible :)

Honestly, I really didn't want to bother with Epcot next time around. Neither of our kids (they'll be 10 and 7) are big on thrill rides, they HATED Test Track, and I really didn't plan on doing World Showcase because of the heat (summer visitors), so I figured maybe we'd just skip it. Do a half day at the very most. However, so many of you here encouraged me not to skip it... I took another look at it... and yeah... I don't know what I was thinking, lol. We missed so much last time, and now I'm guessing we'll want at least a day there. Maybe more? (feel free to chime in with your thoughts on that, lol). I can see us doing:

- Figment and Image Works
- Spaceship Earth and Project Tomorrow
- Soarin'
- Living with the Land
- Character Spot M&G
- The Seas & Turtle Talk (I can see us spending a lot of time there, my kids love aquariums)
- Frozen Ever After
- A&E M&G
- Gran Fiesta Tour

and if we're already in WS, I know my son will want to explore China (he's fascinated with China), so I'm guessing we would add on:

- Mulan M&G
- Jeweled Acrobats
- Agent P in China

and... we never saw them last time, but I saw some pictures recently, and I really want to see IllumiNations this time around. :) So add that. I can also see them enjoying the Advanced Training Lab, but I really have no desire to walk all the way over there, just for that.

So congrats, DISers... you sold me on Epcot :)

Keep in mind that after Spaceship Earth there is that interactive area. My kids spend at least 30 min here while we sit and rest ( a/c). Also after the Nemo ride another hour in the aquarium. I think this gets looked over a lot. Has more to offer than many smaller zoos. My kids also ride the donald duck ride in Mexico Over and over ( son loves the cartoon books). Epcot is for us a 2 day park.

By the sounds of things, I could see us doing a full day there (granted, taking an afternoon break), and then spending another evening for more WS. I do know that WS will be an after supper thing for us, once the sun isn't so high in the sky.

Epcot is our favorite park! They still have the kids craft/coloring areas in the World Showcase countries, sorry the name of it escapes me, but my daughter loved doing them from age 4-8. Also we would get little candies or chocolate treats from each country to compare them with what my daughter is used to here. There really is a lot to hold young kids interest. And on our last trip we happened upon Mickey Mouse himself with NO wait time (we saw him come out, then the line was no more than 10 people deep for the next 10-15 minutes) he was at the entrance coming from the Boardwalk. We always see the World Showcase characters with much more manageable wait times than at MK!

I saw the times listed for Agent P are 11:00AM-6:00PM. We are planning it for our fall trip. So if anyone has different/additional info. on times I'd like to know also so we could extend our mission later into the evening.

EPCOT is fantastic with plenty to enjoy for all ages!

I have heard many times, "Oh, EPCOT is only for adults." Even when the kids were very young we had a great time experiencing what the park had to offer.

Kidcot.

Our daughter (7) loves EPCOT too. She loves the Agent P adventure and Kidcot stations. It's also a good time to enjoy some ice cold adult beverages from around the world as well!

Right now, EPCOT is one of the best parks.

Hollywood Studios has too much down - the park is at about 40% right now. It has a few headliners open and some "busy stuff" that looks like it was added at least minute to try to give you something to do in the park.

Animal Kingdom generally isn't a full day. Maybe some of that will be fixed. It has a lot of shows and can be difficult to time with kids. Although they like the animals, it's difficult to fill a full day with animal kingdom, much less 2.

Magic Kingdom remains my favorite. It has the most to do and of course includes fun for all ages. The problem with Magic Kingdom is that it's never done well with crowds. It gets overrun very quickly and get very, very busy - to the point that even the B and C rides have 1+ hour waits.

Epcot handles crowds the best. It has enough to do and enough variety for everyone. It almost never closes and it always has rides that don't get too crowded. Even at it's most full, you can usually find places to go or things to do that have minimal crowds. it remains my staple park for a busy day.

My two must parks are Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

- Mulan M&G

-House of the Whispering Willows, to see the Tomb Warriors (so cool! Check to see if it's open when you're there)

Our sons (9 and 12) could spend 2 hours in the Japan shop. It has the most awesome collection of Pokemon and other Japanese pop culture items. If they have any interest in such things, you should try it.

You just made my 8 year old's day. He was not looking forward to WS, but he is now!

I also love love LOVE American Adventure. The music gets me every time.... and, yes, the Eagle has landed!!

Great! I know you'll all have a great time.

We usually break EPCOT into two days: one for FW and one for WS. But EPCOT is our favorite so we make the time. Totally understandable if you don't.

And yes, you must see Illuminations. Give yourself enough time to find a good spot.

You have to do voice of liberty and mariachi cobre. Two amazing groups.

Don't forget about the food too.

We all love Epcot also. Don't skip over the Morocco pavilion. It's beautiful first of all. Also it's very cool as you wind your way back in there. We've always found some of the friendliest cast members there also.

Epcot was our least fav park for years... But it slowly has surpassed AK for third place. We love Soarin, TT, and Spaceship Earth enough to keep us coming back. There are enough other little gems to keep us interested too. The world showcase doesn't do much for us though.

We still would never do a trip without Epcot.
