However, I don't really agree with the tank top, flip flop and sandal rules, we are a beach community....we live less the 2 miles from the ocean and delaware bay, and both schools are less then 1/4 mile.
We have a flip flops and sandals rule, too. We were told it is for safety reasons - if they have to evacuate, the kids are more likely to trip or lose a shoe if they don't have something with a heel strap.
) not to save money on porn. For the mothers of young girls out there, send your girls to school dressed respectably, do yourself, them, and all the boys out there a favor. I gotta tell ya, I pick my battles with my kids because I know there is just too many things that just don't matter but IMHO the way kids dress does matter, at least when it comes to showing your skin, whether that's a butt, a bxxb, or a belly, doesn't matter -- cover it, school is not a nightclub!
17.5 year old boys would look at girls dressed in a potato sack and have fantasies about what was under all that burlap. It is just the way they are built. Stop blaming the girls for your son's inability to concentrate in school.
Tank tops were NEVER allowed either.
they also have to wear sneakers on "gym" day. but I decided to home school.. so they are actually still in the Pj's for "school" most of the time
This is the only year we are doing it.. next year is off to big school!

) and how is he going to make the best life decision that really is weighing him down: college or military?
