Is Any body putting a thier info in an envelope?

I'm not putting ours in an envelope, but I believe I have read that others have. I don't think there are any rules against doing that especially with the concerns today about identity theft.

I do not put mine in an envelope, it costs more because you have to use a regular stamp and that adds up. Besides all that information is readily available if someone wanted it.

That's the way I look at it too. Plus, I would think that Disney wouldn't want you to send the postcard in the envelope because someone would need to actually open the envelope which obviously takes more time. Who knows , they might even throw out entries that arrive in an envelope.

Well, I am doing postcards, but they don't throw out the entries in envelopes because the guy who won the big DVC prize had his entry in an envelope . . . .

In regards to the size of the postcard does anyone know what size they need to be...

I'm using slips of paper and envelopes for mine and dh's, mostly because I had three boxes of envelopes that never get used, once they are gone then I might switch. It does say in the offical rules to send in your info on a slip of paper OR on a post card.

This year's rules did not state a postcard size. So any size you have should be fine.

Does anyone know if I can enter my kids who are all under 8 years old? Do you have to be a certain age to enter? It would be so fun to win something.

I didn't see where it said that, I was also wondering...I have only sent in for me and dh right now so far, someone else should be able to answer.

Yes!~ you can enter your children. I send one in for myself and 2DD's. We have not won anything yet, have not been sending them in very long. Other people have posted where they and the children have won items.

She received a Fed Ex box at her house telling her she had won. I believe the thread is over on the DVC Misc board.

Thanks so much for posting that! I had heard several people refer to this, but never saw the story for myself. I can not imagine how excited they must have been to win that. What a blessing!

It took us about seven months to win anything, and then son and I both received a package (MM ears) on the same day!

We are at about 150 postcards now between the three of us and have won twice (one each for son and me, hubby never has).

It's all about luck (we apparently do not have much )

That's great that you won something! I have heard people say before that Disney only awards prizes for the postcards on the 20th of the month or something like that. Therefore, there might actually be a lag between the time you win and you receive your prize. I hope that makes sense. Has anyone heard this before?

Congrats to you & your son, but I will disagree with you...you apparently are lucky since you have won! I've been sending in two postcards everyday (one for me, one for DH) since the fisrt contest was started (I think it was back in 2006), we've even been to WDW three times and nothing...nada...not one thing have we won.

But we keep trying!

WOW that would be so awesome.

I just started sending them in regularly again, I tried last year and won nothing. But I figured I already had the stamped pc's laying around I might as well try and hope for the best
