YOAMD Postcards and Winners

My apologies if this has been asked already. I skimmed the thread and didn't see it, but I have a feeling it's been asked before.

What is the minimum age to enter with a postcard? I would love to try to win ears or something for each of the kids. DD is 1 1/2. Is she too young or can I send a post card in for her?

I've been sending in postcards since Oct. 06. I won 2 laynards and Mickey ears. That was last year in March and May. I have not won anything for 2008 postcards. People must be at the right place and at the right time at Disney.

I didn't see any age requirements in the rules I would think you would be ok to enter for them, maybe someone else will know for sure.

Thanks. I couldn't find a minimum in the rules, either. I think I'll just send in for her. You have to put a birth date on the card so they can just throw it out if it's an issue.

There is no minimum age to enter by postcard. Good luck!

I stopped by the post office to pick up some of the already postage marked ones and the lady didn't even know where they were. Apparently it had been a really long time since she had been asked for any. Eventually she did find a bunch for me, so it all worked out.

I'm really hoping for just a little bit of pixie dust!

Haha....I'm sure the post office doesn't have that many people needing postcards in bulk. I'm waiting for the day when one of the people there ask me why I buy so many.... Good luck and lots of pixie dust to you!!

I don't know how much, but it's made me try to use up all of the stamps I have... - lots of cards being mailed in for my family!!

Congrats to you & your son, but I will disagree with you...you apparently are lucky since you have won! I've been sending in two postcards everyday (one for me, one for DH) since the fisrt contest was started (I think it was back in 2006), we've even been to WDW three times and nothing...nada...not one thing have we won.

But we keep trying!

I could send you a couple of lanyards if you want (without the pins though)?

I just started sending them in regularly again, I tried last year and won nothing. But I figured I already had the stamped pc's laying around I might as well try and hope for the best

As of May 12, the new rate for postcard stamps will be 27 cents, and the new rate for pre-stamped postcards will be 29 cents.

First class mail is going up to 42 cents, although you can continue using 41-cent "forever" stamps if you have them.

I do not think the post office would still honor the postcards after the May 12th date. I think that you might just have to take a loss on any that you have already bought & buy ones with current postage after that date. I'm so glad I did not buy too many postcards...I will be running out just before May 12th. That's the only lucky thing that has happened to me so far as far as this contest goes....

Oops ...but I forgot to say that what you could also do is buy 1 cent stamps from the post office and just add the difference to the postcards you already have.

yep, you just add the difference. I have ones from last year from before they went up than.
