I booked Aug 24-27 for 2 of us (MHT-MCO roundtrip) for the $89. internet one way fare, totalling $391. with taxes....I'm a bit nauseous about paying that much, but feared if I waited any longer, I'd be out of luck.

It's a good thing I booked when I did, because about 1/2 later I checked the fares again and my return flight was unavailable for that fare already.

I'm really watching the Ding!'s daily hoping for a lower fare popcorn:: I can dream right? :cloud9:

I booked late in the day when they opened our dates and our cheapest fare was gone already for the times I wanted .

Mine was free but DD,DW,Dm,DsF ended up being a bit over $200 .

I had to book Sun -Sun to make it easier on DM Sat are her Buzy days.

No Ding opening on SUn my Flight is sold out I think.

I just got flights on SW for Aug at $54 ea way! Still can't believe it!

I feel your pain I booked 4 tix for $277 each PHL-MCO 8/28 - 9/3. The return filght I wanted was $109 one day and the next day when I actually went to book-GONE! I had to book the return flight at $151. I sucked it up and booked the 4 tix ($1100!!!!!!) YIKES!!!!! Maybe lower ones would come out but I was afraid to wait any longer and not get the flights I wanted!

keep watching. Back in April I booked 2 tickets PVD - MCO for $522 total :faint:

The price dropped 2 times, which I was able to get refunded. Then yesterday I got a Ding for $44 for my flight down on 8/30. The return flight is in September and the Ding was only good until 8/31. Today, I sit down at the computer an see that September one way fares dropped to $59! I quickly changed our flight home and now we are only paying $240 total :woohoo:

Are you able to fly out of PVD instead of MHT?

originally booked in April when fares first came out. Paid $283 each round trip BDL to MCO. Since then, the price has gone down twice. Now have the same flights for $137 each RT. Called SWA and they are going to refund the difference ($584!!!) to my CC. Gotta love SWA!!

watch for the dings!!! Got a ding yesterday for our flight down in late August
then today our departure flight was down to $59. total for 6 roundtrip tix nonstop and great times $722!!! :cool1:

That's a bargain compared to the price I recently paid - 466.00 for 2 tickets from PHL to MCO.
It seems like I waited so long for SW to release their schedule for those dates and when they did each leg of the flight was $107.
I am so disappointed, but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. Hoping prices will go down so I can get a credit for a future trip.

P.S. I noticed the same flights out of BWI would save me over $80. The stinky part is that BWI is not close enough to warrant the cost savings. It would cost me a fortune to get a shuttle to the airport.

I'm so envious of you're DINGS! everyone :thumbsup2

cepmom - not an option to fly out of PVD - we're about 2 hours away and I'm less than 15 minutes away from MHT.

I continue to stalk my computer all day long for a DING! fare ;)

We are 30 minutes from Manchester & close to 2 hours from Providence... We're driving to Providence :teeth: There are four of us & we saved sixty dollars per ticket... it's worth the 240.00 saved to drive to Providence!

I booked flights a couple of weeks ago from Kansas City to Vegas in August for a wedding. At the time the outbounds were $160 and inbounds were $59. Got home last night and was dorking around and found the outbound flights were at $59. I'm so excited, I changed it, and now we have a $202 credit!!!

When you guys are a little down because you think your flights are expensive, think about this -- when I get a seat sale for me and my son to go, it still costs around $1,000 ! and thats only for the two of us - full price is usually around $1400 for the two of us! I hope that cheers you up on the cost of your flights. ::yes::

Dear Lorix2

You just saved me $330!!!

We are flying the same MHT-MCO route Aug 20-25. Except that I bought our tickets when they were $122 each way! So when I saw your post I thought,
"$89 each way? That doesn't sound bad to me!"

I checked at the website and our flight times were available at the $89 price for those dates. I called to cancel and rebooked online. YAY!!!!

I have learned so much from the DIS and now it has saved me an actual chunk of money.

:disrocks:

:faint: I just booked my flight for Sept 28 -Oct 2 and I payed 505.20 RT for HOU to MCO! I am hoping for a ding. :surfweb: I am going to watch SW like a hawk!

I prefer to fly out of MHT too, I originally had tickets for $122 each way, I rebooked with a ding, MHT to Tampa for $44, but I'm still hoping for a low ding MHT to MCO, if not I'll suck it up and drive from Tampa, it was a savings of $620, definately worth it to drive from Tampa. ;)

I just booked yesterday MHT-MCO Aug 19-28 for the $89 one way ($195 each rt). I'll book anything under $200 (that's my threshold). If they happen to DING my flights between now and when we leave, I'll just take the credit. I saw the $44 DING to/from Tampa, but it wasn't worth it to us for a few reasons. We go to stay with my in-laws for part of the time, Disney/Orlando the other part.

Oh, I'm sorry for complaining now, that is really expensive - I hope a lower fare will become available for you too - fingers crossed for you.

Wow, you're welcome, that's fantastic! I guess this is as good as it will get at this point, but here I sit anyway :surfweb: We certainly can't complain after Boncho's post :wave2:

I saw the Tampa fare also...but after having to rent a car and adding more travel time to get to Orlando, it would eat up any savings in airfare, especially since we won't need a rental since we're staying onsite.
