Finishing employee reviews today, so our VP calls me in for mine and its all glowing, no complaints etc.. and says here's your 1% pay increase and okay's same % for my employees. Fine with me as we weren't expecting anything this year.
I do all my employees reviews and inform them of 1% increase.
My last one reports to me but works much more with the VP than myself. She has been written up once by me this year and once by him for being late, bad attitude, bad work etc... Three times in 12 months is termination. We both are present for her review. VP tells her about bad attitude, attendance, poor work quality and then drops the bomb. Here is you 9% pay increase. I was like what the ****.
It was largest increase in the corporate office by the way.
Think I'll just screw off this year and make some real money next year. No the next recruiter that call me with a juicy job offer, bye bye
