Yep, I took a picture of that (9100 total) COMPLETED 9/1

Wow what a tremendous start. I can't wait to see how your family's trip evolved.

And kudos :thumbsup2 on the resort choice. We'll be back at the Yacht Club in Aug, love the resort - the pool area, the ease of Epcot access :cool1:

I have to say I'm a little overwhelmed by all the responses, thank you all. It's funny, I was at work tonight going through all the pics and trying to make sense of it all, and started to wonder if it's really worth it. I started thinking that with so many reports out there, what's the chance mine would stand out let alone have anyone connect to it. I had goosebumps when I logged on and read the responses. Thank you again, and I will keep the updates coming as soon as I possibly can.

P.S. I do have some ready but I have to upload the pics first:thumbsup2

You have made we fall in love with the Beach Club! It looks great.

You have a beautiful family! Glad you have found the Disney love.

Trust me, the pics just don't do it justice! Stay there for a day or two and you will REALLY fall in love with it. I'd love to try another hotel just for a night or two because they all look nice, I just don't think I could bring myself to it!

Hey I'm in. BTW, I LOVE pics, so you won't hear me complain about too many. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. It seems he and your mom thought about the future and decided it should include being surrounded by family. Smart man! Glad you all have a happy place to which you can retreat and share new memories.
There's so much I could say to that but I think I need to finish this TR first. This is definately my happy place, no doubt about it!

I'm in! I have two boys as well (almost 5 and just turned 2 when we go), so I love reports heavy on pirates and light on all the "yucky" princess stuff! Can't wait to read more!

I think they just started a whole pirate makeover down there. We missed the oping of it by 20 days. Stay tuned though, there is some awesome pirate stuff comming up that every boy, who knows who Jack Sparrow is HAS to do!
I'm in too. I think it's great that you took all of those pictures. Your sons will have tons of memories from them. My son and I immediately fell in love with the Phinneaus and Ferb T shirt. He's asking for one of his own.

I can't wait for more!
If you want the pic, I'll ask my wife tomorrow. Send me a personal message with your email address and I'll send it to you. She got the iron on paper from walmart. I think it was like $12 for 6 sheets.
I am here too!:goodvibes I love pictures :) Your sons are adorable! I love the look on their faces seeing all the loot(sp?) on the bed!pirate:
thank you! they are great most of the time:rotfl: There's going to be plenty of pics like that. The trip was full of suprises for them. We were planning for months without them knowing :lmao:

You won me over with your intro and your cute fam! Our home is BCV's as well, and seeing those pics just made me feel like I am there all over again. How nice for you that your mom & dad appreciated it when they went there the first time, and now share it with you. Too bad you didn't listen a little sooner- huh??

So................ have you planned your next trip down yet , using mom's points, or did ya buy your own?? ;)

BTW..... I'm absolutely positive you & your little family made your mom's summer by going down there with her. I have a grandson that I am just dying to take there. We've already planned a family reunion for Thanksgiving 2010- all 3 kids of mine, my SIL and my grandson Henry will be coming- and DH & I are really looking forward to spoiling the pooh out of Henry. That pirate thing, with all the loot..... GOOD IDEA!

Is there anything better then going home for a week or two?!?! Thanks for hopping on, and yes, my brother is already saying he wants to go next year and is trying to talk me into buying more points:rotfl2: Not gonna happen this year!

My mom is awesome and she's always tried to instill it in all of us that family is everything. We all need to stay together or we all fall apart.

How old is Henry?

I'm subbing. You have a lovely family. I am glad you are able to enjoy WDW with your mom, wife, and kids. I can't wait to hear about the trip.
I can't say enough good things about my family. Everyone is always here for me and I try to be there for them. Disney is a great place to visit but it wouldn't be the same without them
I'm in and ready to follow along.

Great family you have there.

We're going in September....my son will be 5 and my daughter is 3. We're also staying for 10 days/nights!

I'll have to tell my wife about how many pics you took....(may have to buy another memory card)
5 and 3 is an awesome age! You are going to have so much fun watching them have fun! The boy girl thing is going to be awesome because you can do a pirate and a princess! If he hasn't seen Pirates of the Carribean, I say go for it. We have been out of the loop but finally saw the 1st one this year and let the boys watch it. Some scenes were iffy in my book but it's by far Nate's favorite movie so far!
Great so far:thumbsup2 Can't wait to read more.
Get comfy it's gonna be a trip
Hey!

Hubby and I just got back from Disney today and when I logged on the DIS boards it was like reliving our trip all over again with your pics. We are from NJ and flew from Philly as well. We stayed 7 days at All Star Music and 3 days at the Beach Club resort! I am LOVING your pics! My hubby says you're his hero. LOL He thought that HE took a lot of photos by taking over a thousand, but when he saw that you took over 9,000 now he's wondering if he should've taken more!:lmao: I'll definitely be following to see all your pics.
Na, tell him not all came out looking good. I'm pretty happy with alot of them though. I just wish I could have gotten some good fireworks pics. I just had problem after problem every night I tried it. Just remind him you need to enjoy real life also, not just through a lense. (In case you're wondering, I had a ball the whole time, but I won't tell him if you don't!)
Wow what a tremendous start. I can't wait to see how your family's trip evolved.

And kudos :thumbsup2 on the resort choice. We'll be back at the Yacht Club in Aug, love the resort - the pool area, the ease of Epcot access :cool1:
Thank you! I really appriciate that! As for the
resort choice, I'll pass the kudos on to my Mom. I just followed her lead! The pool is AWESOME and who couldn't love walking to Epcot?

I lost my Dad less than a month ago and I feel connected to your trip report. Keep those pictures coming and tell your Mom you love her everyday.

Great report so far.

Mike, to say I'm sorry doesn't seem like enough. If I said I know how you feel, I'd be lying. I can say it hurts, because that I know. It's not that I remember how it hurts, it's because I still feel it. I hope you are or will be ok soon and I hope you can remember his life and the good time you guys had together. Please feel free to PM me if you need to chat.

keep your head up

I am loving your trip report. We will be surprising ours in September. I have them two years apart also. Ds son 7 and dd5. I thought you're begining was great and still can't stop the tears. Can't wait to hear more and enjoy more pics. You're boys are very cute. Go Phillies and do it again.

KCMike- losing your dad is such a hard thing. My condolences to you and your family.

Your brother is trying to talk you into buying points? That's classic! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Does he own any points of his own yet? Smart boy he is!!! :lmao:

You know, I don't want to wax strong as a philosopher or anything, but ....... Family is everything. It's what we get up for in the morning, what we look forward to at the end of the day. You think you know love when you marry your spouse, but then that 1st little one comes along and you feel love like you never knew it before! Just wait until you become a grandparent! A whole new thing again! These "grands" give us a new reason for life- and absolute, pure joy too. I have marveled at the silliest things this child is doing! How wonderful that you live near your moms- it is a blessing to them for sure!

Henry is our first and only grandchild. He is 17 months old and slightly cuter then your two! ;)

Happy to know you decided to carry on with your DR....... it's really a good thing!

All dried off from the pool and full from dinner (By the way, Cape May Café now has Crab Legs!!!) we head for the bus stop around 8:30.

9:00 sharp, WE ARE HERE! Wait a sec, the bus driver told us that Wishes starts at 10 tonight but for some reason we hear fireworks! We run as fast as you can among thousands of other people on the same street to catch the show.

We made our way down Main Street trying not to take out too many people with the double wide stroller. Sorry if we met under less than perfect circumstances out there but traffic was a mess! People were leaving and just coming in since the park was now closed and the Extra magic hours were just beginning. We made our way down and through the castle. This was my first time actually seeing the murals inside and I was pretty impressed. Thanks to the Dis’ers out here for pointing out a lot of the little details like the mice on the pillars and the murals themselves. Also, the crown on Cindy’s statue is an awesome detail in my opinion! There will be more pics later on in the trip report of the murals but for now I was still just trying to adjust to the crowds.

First ride of the trip started at 10:00pm. Thank goodness for Extra Magic Hours! We hopped in line for Peter Pan since the boys never got a chance last year and have seen the movie 20 times in the last few months.

DIS536.jpg

While waiting in line we were told to standby for a sec to let on a family with Fast Passes. Not a problem. We stand there patiently waiting, still with the big “My first day” grins on all of our faces, when the cast member hands us these….

DIS539.jpg

Sweet! We’ve only been here an hr and already are getting presents! The Dream Team themselves could have given them to us and I would have been just as happy!

After enjoying Peter Pan’s Flight and with Fast Passes to whatever we want we stroll along when my youngest yell out “Let’s go to Small World!” so off we go. After all, they are boss at Disney World I told em!

Now it’s Nate’s turn and who would have guessed, he needs to see Pirates of the Caribbean! So we shoot over there and NO WAIT AT ALL! Didn’t take any pics of the ride, but the week is still young! Here’s just after the ride…..

It’s now 11:50 and we were in Philly this morning and we are starting to feel it a little. Bed sounds like an excellent idea. Walking near Phillharmagic we ran into this gentleman, er umm duck……

OK, we really need to get to sleep, wait a sec who’s that lovely couple over there……
DIS583.jpg

Bed time. The ride back home took about 25 minutes and the boys were out cold. To the gentleman who helped my wife on the back of the bus carry out my oldest while I struggled with the 2 ton stroller, we’d all like to say thank you. It really was appreciated. Back home at the Beach Club we all crashed almost right away. What a perfect day. The perfect surprise in the morning for the boys, an uneventful flight, and we got to meet some friends we haven’t seen in about a year. Home Sweet Home. Kinda makes you wander what tomorrow might bring!

I'm so enjoying the pictures! However, I must say the crowd pictures made me remember why I go in January! Keep it up! :thumbsup2

Thanks, will do :thumbsup2

Honestly, most of the week wasn't all too bad. The crowds only got bad around the fireworks and the parades. I'd love to see MK in January some day!

Hi, I'm subbing. popcorn::

You have a lovely family. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip and see more of the pictures that you took. :goodvibes

Great report so far! Did you get one of the renovated rooms? I couldn't tell very well from the pictures.

Glad you had a great time!

I'm loving your report! You have some super cute little guys!
Love all your pictures! Keep them coming! popcorn::

Signing on! I'm enjoying your trip report so far, especially the promise of so many pictures! (I know you didn't use your flash on It's a Small World, right? ;) ) Your boys are adorable, btw! My little guys are 3 & 1. It's nice to see a report minus all the girly princess stuff! :)
