geez...i run away from the boards for 2 days and you all seem to have a posting party without me...
good morning all!!
boy, after catching up on this thread this morning...oh the images i have embedded in my brain...i need something else to think about!
we went on saturday and hung out all day with a fellow DISer! we all met up about noon, then went downtown to see the broadway production of beauty and the beast. it was fabulous!! matthew was so sweet...they were selling the souvenir programs and long stem red (fake) roses...he bought me both! my ONLY complaint about the show...since it was saturday and a matinee...there were lots of kids!! not just like 10 year old kids, but like preschool aged kids. granted, this is a Disney based production, but some of the scenes throughout the show get pretty dark and can be scary for little ones. i can't tell you how many times that various kids burst out with the scared squeals...there was one kid right behind us that had to talk through any of the songs that he didn't know. drove me nuts...and then there was another kid and mom behind us that felt it was necessary to bring the world's noisiest snacks in the world's noisiest packages and proceed to open and eat them during the show.

great show! but next time, i think we'll hit an evening performance.
then after the show we went to the spaghetti factory...it was wonderful! and so cheap!!! for 4 adults it was $40.00...we had beverages (nothing alcoholic), salads, an appetizer, entrees, and desserts! i was quite impressed...and they had this cool little lounge upstairs where we waited until our table was ready. it was great! i'm sure that restaurant will become a favorite of ours when we're downtown...then after dinner, we walked through circle center mall...and, like the kids we are, went up to the gameworks studio place to play video games! we mostly played the racing games where we were all playing the same game, and then we played air hockey. probably about 10 games of air hockey...it was quite fun! then after that, we decided to head back to our friend's apartment...where the girls were outvoted on what game to play. we wanted disney trivia...but the guys wanted monopoly.

so we caved and played monopoly...but it was the .com edition. it was actually kind of cool! everything's in millions instead of regular dollar amounts. i usually suck at this game. but this time, i started off very well! i had most of the properties and it really started to become a game between myself and her boyfriend. matthew and my friend weren't really threats...YET. before we knew it, i was out of the game...matthew was hanging by a thread...and my friend swept the whole game!!! it was one of those games where at first, no one lands on the boardwalk or park place properties, until she went and put 3 houses on each one. that killed us...i was out after 2 rounds of her doing that...rent on yahoo.com (boardwalk) was like $14 million!!!! it was horrible...after the game wound down, we went home...it was 1:00am...we had a great time though! since moving here, we haven't really had much of a social life, except with each other...it's wonderful finding another couple who shares similar interests and are great to be around!
then yesterday, we went back out to the housing addition. we signed the official papers to get the loan process rolling. we want this house...so now the whole pre approval process begins...
well, gonna run for now...i'll be lurking and waiting for you guys to start a posting party...

have a good day!!
