Congratulations.

Just moved you across to DLP board, I am sure they will help with your planning on here.:thumbsup2
Have a great trip.

Hi randy muffler :wave2: is it your first trip? Is your DW not keen? If so, tell us why not and we'll see what we can do to change her mind!

How about a character meal? That would be a great way to celebrate both your birthdays. :)

she is keen i think it's the fact of the language barrier that is making her think a little more, i have heard character meals are not up to much which would be the best one to go for?

If she likes the princesses then I'd go for lunch at Auberge de Cendrillon. The princesses and the two mice from Cinderells come to the tables for photos etc...

Cafe Mickey is great!!! We love it! Always go there for lunch on our last day, not too busy if you book for 12.30-12.45 and get good interraction with Mickey, Minnie and the rest. Great experience!

And happy planning! :thumbsup2

The food at DLRP whilst expensive for table service restaurants is generally very good. It could be done on any budget. Counter service fast food is also available but a lttle bit different to reflect the fact you're in France. Croque Monsieur from Victorias Homestyle beside Plaza Gardens are always a must for us and also Mickey Brioche from the Cable Car bake shop on Main Street. Bun with gooey chocalate inside Mmmmm!

Cafe Mickey is great for a character meal. I have never been to Lucky Nugget but have heard mixed review about it. BBWWS in the village is amazing. Whilst not a character meal as such the entertainment is great and well worth a go if the budget stretches that far. The food at BBWWS isn't fantastic but its too dark to see what you're eating anyway:rotfl2:

Have a look at the restaurant reviews in the useful info stickies there are lots of photos to drool over:goodvibes

Don't worry about the language barrier. Mostly all the CM's speak English, and will respond even better to you if you attmept some French, even just bonjour etc. I ususally ask if they speak English before I launch into my question.....

I've never been to Lucky Nugget but love Cafe Mickey. It's bright and cheery and you'll get great character interaction.

Happy planning :goodvibes

so when is the best time to book cafe mickey and is mickey always there?

Yes I think you are guaranteed to see Mickey there along with other characters who will vary.

It opens at 12 for lunch and the characters are there for about 3 hours then it stays open without characters who then appear again about 6.00 for the evening.

Lunchtime is a bit quieter so you would get more time with the characters and if you book for 12/12.30 it will be quieter and you may even have the characters to yourself for a while.
