Yak & Yeti

My 180 day opened this morning and I got everything I wanted except for Yak & Yeti lunch on 11/14. I was not expecting any problems with this restaurant. Does anyone know if it is closing for renovations? I know the system is glitchy. In fact, I had to check several times throughout the day for all my stuff to open up. But I am stumped on this one.

I would call them directly. Disney has limited availabilty for Yak & Yeti, Rainforest Cafe and TRex. But, they are usually wide open if you call them directly. That's what I had to do for our trip in June.

I couldn't get Yak & Yeti at all from Nov 8th- Nov 15th. I did call and ask as well, but there was nothing available for even a party of 2.

There are times showing up for a party of 2 right now on 11/14. I'm seeing 4:45pm and 5pm.

How many are in your party? I am looking at 11/14 right now and there are times open, but for 2 guests... nothing more than that.

I am trying for a party of 4 at 1:15 for lunch. I will keep looking and call them. Ironically, I booked Tusker House since it was available as was Rain Forest Cafe. So strange.

Oh well - I got all the rest: Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, Mama Melrose F! package, T Rex, and Tutto Italia. I can't complain. For those struggling, it took some persistence but I locked all those in at my 180 day mark. Just over three sittings throughout the day.

I read a similar thread a few days after the same thing happened to me. I called Yak & Yeti directly yesterday and got the noon ADR for 2 on Nov. 14, that I wanted.

You called Disney, or you called Yak & Yeti (not owned by Disney) directly?

We did not have a reservation last week and just showed up at 11 and were seated right away.

I have never tried there sit down service. I have always got them as my AK counter service lunch, which is delicious!

We also couldn't find any availability for lunch in October for the whole week we're at WDW, for just 2 people. I've heard of so many people being able to walk up that we think that's what we'll do.

Just an update on my end - I just went into the website and saw lots of Yak and Yeti reservations available. I grabbed my 1 pm lunch with no issues and did not have to call the restaurant. I guess this ties into all the reports of glitchy availability through the system. Thanks for the advice!

Yay-thanks! As soon as I read this I checked the website and was able to get a time for October 22. It's not EXACTLY the time I wanted, but considering that before today I couldn't get anything all week, I'm thrilled. So, thank you, thank you.

The system is definitely glitchy. I've been looking for lunch reservations since yesterday and it was always showing no availability. After seeing the update in this thread, I just went and checked and was able to get 12 pm reservations for 11/20.

Yeah, I couldn't get in at all any days of our trip when the 180 opened, but got in for lunch for 5 on 11/15, hoping we like it there!

Yak and Yeti has been this way for a few weeks. I knew lunch wasn't booked for my trip in June, but there was zero availability every single day going all the way to November. Finally it's working again.

It was weird with dinner times as well. Sometimes all days would have availability, then the next moment, nothing was available. It's done this on and off for two weeks. Very, very strange.
