We deided to go to WDW on President's Day WE (with everyone else in America, it seems!) and have been on the waiting list for many unit types/locations for a while.

There is availability at the Yaht Club, Concierge level, for 519 points for 5 nights, which seems ridiculously high! I am told they are standard rooms and that the lounge has continental breakfast and drinks all day. Am I missing something here? What else does Concierge level offer to justify the use of so many points? I need to "use or loose" 350 points, but would still need to borrow the rest.

All Yaht Club Concierge information welcome. Thanks!

We stayed at Yacht Club Concierge for our wedding. Yes- It is a standard room. Since we were married in the gazebo, they made a big fuss for us. I love the Yacht Club, but honestly, not worth 519 points for a 'free' breakfast and snacks. I feel that way about the AK concierge too. The concierge can book reservations for you, but I guess I just like to plan to much to make it worthwhile to me.

I've stayed on that club level (Before we bought DVC) and it is not worth that many points for sure.......

We just booked a last minute trip Feb 5th-7th and booked a standard yacht club room sans concierge. The only other thing was a 1 bedroom at OKW, So for about the same amount of points we are getting a smaller room, but the location can't be beat.

519 is a lot of points... Is there any MODs available that you wouldnt mind staying in??

We stayed there July 2003 (on the Fairytale Package...7 nights for the price of 4).

Our standard concierge room overlooked a rooftop and the service entrance to the resort. Yes, the lounge was convenient for breakfast and snacks--but that's it. We never used the concierge staff for anything. In fact, we found them to be quite useless (no offense to anyone else reading this--JMO). The only reason we even booked it was b/c it was a last minute trip and that's what was available. We never would pay extra for it again.

519??? WOW:crazy2: Keep in mind it's just a room!!! No DVC amenities at all. There has to be a better way for you to use those 350.

Don't forget about the $95 fee as well. Plus, if you decide to cancel the reservation, you will have to use the points at non-DVC reservations, non-RCI reservations.
