XXI Olympic Winter Olympics Games Thread

I think that it definately was a bad call. I didn't catch what the south korean did but it looked like to me that the canadian might have tripped over the american's skate. I don't see how that could be called as intentional and therefore allowing the canadian to be added to the final.

I agree, but since I felt that neither the American nor Canadian were going to medal (without a major spill), it was a non-issue for me. The Koreans and Ohno were clearly the favorites for the podium...

That's not completely true. Charles Hamelin is the world record holder at that distance and the five skaters in the final have been fighting out out in the four world cup events all year.

Did you guys see Ovi hit Jagr in the 3rd and RUS won 4-2 vs CZH.

If Russia does make it to the final game vs Canada, he may hit Crosby.

I wonder what proportion of people in Canada and the US will be watching the hockey game tonight?

Our city arena is holding "Hockey Day for Haiti" with a live broadcast on the big screens at and a skate and other family activities as a warm up.

Jagr got PWNED on that hit. It was ridiculous! And a thing of beauty. :thumbsup2

Holy cow. Staal ties it up and seconds later Rafalski puts the US up by 1 again.

Nice.

I've come to realisation that I do much before watching games/races after I know the outcome. I don't do well with suspense.

Ski Cross........what is on top of the skier's helmet - radio antennae????

2 - 1 for the US after 1 period.

Are they not airing it? I flicked to NBC and was surprised not to see it.

We have it on about 6 channels and in at least 3 languages.
