xPass or Premium FASTPASS? Yes, I'm Starting ANOTHER FP Forum

But that isn't a standard perk of being a deluxe resort guest, is it? That's what I'm talking about - giving something to only a certain class of resort guests in the parks that others do not get.

I think it will cost extra, no matter who they let use it. I also don't think it will offer unlimited use to anyone. I'm guessing there will be a certain number of attraction reservations you can make per day for the added fee. If the times are already booked up, you'll need to pick another time or another attraction.

Regular FastPass might still be there, but I think the new thing will have a limit on rides per day you can reserve.

Maybe they'll doing something like let deluxe guests be the ones who can reserve from home, while others use their wristband at the FP machines.

I agree...it may be a subset of current FP attractions, and/or limitations to how many you can book in advance per day. For the rest, or additional rides on the same attractions, you use regular FP or the standby line.

Universal got only 3 hotels and all in same category. Disney has to deal not only with onsite vs. offsite but different categories inside onsite. it is quiet difficult to predict how things will work but I am also sure it will not be free. I do not think it will have additional perks for deluxes but I think you will be offered different levels of pass to buy and some levels can only be available for onsite. Of course during future "free XPass" promotions value may get basic and others higher levels just like DP but paid upgrade will be available.
I just do not believe they will want to restrict people this way as many simply do not like Deluxes, regardless of the price.

Don't forget that Disney has more attractions as well, spread across twice as many parks - but this still doesn't outweigh the sheer number of on-site resort guests vs. Universal.

But they're not giving them anything, guest would buy in. Just like the dessert party. Once again everyone has the chance to decide if the cost is worth it. No difference Imo

Right, IF is is only pay-for-play for everyone. We don't know for certain how it is rolling out, but we were talking about if it was free to deluxe guests, and either not-available or pay-for-play for others, in giving deluxe guests an in-park amenity.

We don't know that yet, though. The rumors and leaks have all suggested that it will either be free/included with deluxe stays OR only available for purchase with a deluxe stay. Maybe that's a first step leading to a broader roll-out or maybe it is intended to be an additional perk of choosing a deluxe resort, but the consistency from the rumor mill makes me think that element is likely to be accurate - when this is implemented the ability to participate will hinge on booking a deluxe resort.
