You got a $94 credit for each room?? Wow. I thought I did good getting a $5 credit for one room (1A 2C), and $4 for each of the other two (2A each). We upgraded from ASMu preferred rooms to SSR 1-bedrooms.

They used the email address that is registered to your Disney account, it had to be the same one that the confirmation was sent to also. They verified this with me a few times, I think it was actually more important than the code and now that makes sense because people are calling to see if a code is attached to their email address on file.

Mine didn't come to the email address that our confirmation was sent to. All reservations were made in my name and attached to my email, but the upgrade offer came to my dad's email, which he has never given to Disney during any reservation. The only time he gave them his email address was when he applied for his Disney Visa, which we used for the room deposits. We did not give his email address again during the reservation or when paying the deposit, in fact the reservation CM didn't even have his email address on file. They had the pin code from my dad's email attached to my name. Weird!

How many peoople who got upgraded had preferred rooms booked at the value resorts? Seems like that would make more sense for WDW to upgrade to free up only preferred rooms for new bookings.

Yes, Pop is located in an area that has a different tax rate, so the difference that you are receiving back would be the difference between the two tax rates

Nope, I got a credit upgrading from ASMu to SSR. Granted it was not as much of a credit. Actually first we upgraded to OKW and got a credit, then I changed it to SSR later in the day yesterday and two of our three rooms got an additional 30 cents or so credit.

It's all a mystery and trying too hard to figure it out hurts my brain!!

We originally had regular rooms at ASMu, then about a week or two ago I called to switch to preferred rooms. I wonder if we would have gotten the upgrade if we didn't switch to preferred? If so, I'd like my $300 back!! (Since there are no preferred rooms at SSR.)

Just called and the CM told me that it makes no difference if you booked std. or pref!!!!

Still hope for the rest of us!!!

He said it is totally random and that they are STILL SENDING OUT EMAILS!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

I had 2 standards at ASMo and was upgraded to 2 1 bedrooms at SSR. The extra room will be great. The rooms at ASMo are so small. I am a DVC member at SSR but I will take a 1BR with free dining @ $84 a night anyday.

That is weird that it went to him, we should poll everyone to see if the people who got this upgrade also have a Disney Visa and if some portion of the trip was paid with that Visa.

O.k. I got someone who said I could upgrade but only till the 1st that I would loose my last two days or have to make a seperate res for those days with no dicount. She said it wouldn't even let her put it in until my old res had a check out of 9/1. This is begining to be a lot of hassle. I will call again and see what the next person says. For those who are staying past 9/1 did you have to split your stay?

NO!!! Call back and speak to someone else. We are going from 8-31 thru 9-7Did not have any trouble getting those dates. Originally we were only offered studios at OKW, but found out that others were getting one bedroom villas. Called back and was offered one bedroom villas at SSR, due to all the one bedrooms, being booked at OKW.

Same here. The email went to my niece (who is under a different ressie/which is under her husband's name). When I made all of the ressies (Grand Gathering), I only gave my email address. She registered to get the free DVD along time ago, before we made any ressies. Wierd huh? I guess this is just another way for Disney to spread their magic.

Yes!! They gave each of us a $97 credit! I know preferred rooms are $94 plus tax. I could believe it!

OK - This is the second time this morning I have called Disney trying to speak with someone new. Does everyone have the same pin code like with the freed dining? I am being told some people received it in the mail and some online . Don't get me wrong - we love POP, but would be up to trying somewhere new.
