Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Happy Thursday everyone!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all who celebrate. 🎄
I am abundantly blessed. I have DH, our family, a home, a car, a job, my bills are paid, I was given another year with my mom and dad, and my FAITH has grown stronger as has my peace.

I am greatful that I found this thread that has helped me be more intentional about mindfulness every day, appreciating that my glass is always at least half full and that it is refillable, even on the hard days.

Merry Christmas!🎄
I very grateful for y’all in this wonderful ride in this wonderful community !! I’ve made some very dear friends on this board and I’m very happy that I found this thread so that I can make some more friends!! you’re all very kind nice considerate people I’m very grateful for you!!!
Your support means the world to me!!!

I’m grateful for the early morning peace on a day like today followed by the joy and laughter of the young children heading outside to play with their new toys. Even my own family is still sleeping, so I slowed down a little more than usual to take more of it in than I’d get to do on a normal day. May you all find peace and comfort today. Ultimately, I am grateful for everything… from the people under my roof, the people I pass on the streets, all of you wonderful people in this forum and all of the family and friends who touch my life. We are all truly blessed 😊

So where did the red leaves fall from.. great color for December

It's a willow tree... the only deciduous tree in the desert...in nine months it will have the most beautiful blooms... this day it's lit for the first time and honors the 1st chapter of the Gospel of John.... when everyone else brings down their lights... this tree will shine

Good morning, all, and Happy Boxing Day!

In honor of the shape of the many boxes in our lives lately (deliveries, gifts, etc.) ~

Today's Topic (Fri, 12/26) - 3 things you're grateful that are cube-shaped (or "rectangular prisms" for longer boxes).

My first thought was ice cubes I’m very grateful for ice cubes I don’t use them very often but I use them every morning so I can have iced coffee❤️ and every night so I can have ice water gotta drink your water

Boxes I got a thing for boxes I love pretty boxes you will find them in my closet with all kinds of things in them I love to go to certain stores that carry beautiful boxes and purchase them so I can put items in them and they look nice on the shelf in your closet I’m very grateful that they make these nice beautiful boxes saves me the trouble of buying Contact paper and making them myself

Decorative wooden boxes for Christmas
I got some this year they’re made to look like gifts 🎁 for under the tree they’re absolutely gorgeous and since they’re made out of wood they’ll last for years absolutely love them they can be used inside or out and next year when I go shopping at Hobby lobby I’m gonna get some more because they are so pretty very grateful for those they’re absolutely adorable

I’m very grateful for boxes I often keep my boxes from deliveries because they’re very handy for storing things in like items I have that I’m donating makes it easier to carry the items and if I don’t need the boxes I like that I can now recycle them instead of just pitching them so that they can go on and have a new life as a new box 📦

Afternoon all, hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!

1. Terry's Chocolate Oranges - while these are actually orange shaped (unsurprisingly), the boxes they come in are cube shaped. And I've got a particular fondness for the exploding candy version right now.

2. Stock cubes - wouldn't be able to cook a lot of things without these!

3. Storage boxes - I have a lot of these in various shapes and sizes throughout my house, I couldn't organise my life without them.

@PollyannaMom - If you are looking for a family dice game (to align with today's topic), try Farkle. We play it often with friends and have a great time- we like it better than Yahtzee! We also like RummiKub and Five Crowns for family games.
@clappyclaps I ADORE the Terry's Chocolate oranges- especially love how it breaks into segments, just like a real orange. Santa always used to put one of these in our stockings!

Rectangular prisms...

Books! Even though I struggle to read the print these days, I love hardcover books. I get most of my books on my Nook so I can expand the type, but I still purchase a few hardcovers every year, by a few favorite authors.

The Little Guy has a fidget that is a large cube of cheese. It's probably 4"x4"x4" and all soft and squoogy. It's pretty cool to manipulate.

Pre-cut cheese cubes. I like these better than cheese sticks, slabs, or slices, as I can just pop one in my mouth and keep going... nothing to have to carry around.
