I have a question. I went to WW previously but I will not be attending meetings in the forseeable future. I will be getting back on program though. Is it OK for me to post my personal weigh-in's here?

TIA

Hello everyone!!!

I'm Pam, and I am glad I found You!!!

I joined WW 12/6/07 and so far very steady.... a loss of a 4lbs and steady for the holiday week, weigh in is wed.

I am glad I found you because sometimes, I need some extra "talking" to get me through the week. I am doing CORE, and sometimes forget where my comfort zone is!!!

I hope to see a lot more of you guys!! Thanks for posting and letting me pop in!!!

Happy New Year!!!

:welcome: Pam!! Congratulations to you for joining right in the midst of the holiday eating season, and congrats on your loss to date. This is a great place to come and get that extra motivation throughout the week.

Absolutely. The more the merrier!!! I used to go to meetings and stopped in sept, and have been doing ww on my own, and after my holiday binge, and planning to stay on track. I weighin on tuesdays, and try to come by here at least a few times a week. I definitely find the more I come to the wish board, the more on program I stay. It's a good cycle I need to stay in. Welcome and good luck!!

Thanks!!!

I think the support of my DIS family will really make this easier!!!

I look forward to sharing and checking in often!!!

Happy New Year and Happy New YOU!!!

OK - I probably haven't posted in a year. I want to lose 26 pounds. I currently weigh three pounds more than when I started WW in 2001. Yes, that stinks big time! Anyway, I am going to Florida March 29, so my goal is 26 by then. I do not want to pay for WW again since I kind of know what to do and I have the 35 points/ week plan stuff somewhere around here - just have to relocate it. Anyway, I am devastated to have gotten this off track, but I know I can do it I have a friend who I went through this before with and we're both getting back on track together. So, help me out here - just a mom who wants to shrink a bit and still eat chocolate, cookies and ice cream now and then!

just back from my meeting....lost 1.6 this week. I am dissapointed. I had set a mini goal to be down to 151 this week and I am at 152.4 instead. Still, a loss is better than a gain right?

I need to get moving again. I used to get on the treadmill quite regularly then I had surgery at the end of November and I haven't been exercising since. My goal for next week is to be down to 150 ~ 2.4 lbs.

ETA...I did it! I got myself on the treadmill and did 2 miles! This is huge for me because it is very hard for me to get back into exercising if I stop for any reason. I have been telling myself to get back on for weeks. Todays weigh in/meeting really motivated me to get back into it. I am proud of myself!

I did WW about 3 years ago and lost 40 lbs. Gained back 25 lbs and then lost 20 lbs. Had knee surgery in September and gained back 10 lbs. Now I'm back on the program and serious about losing the weight. My goal is 150 lbs. I'm currently 206.8 lbs as of this morning. I started the 1st at 210.8 so I've lost 4 lbs already, but that's probably enjoying the new years. I'm walking and practising my karate for exercise. I am also hoping to add a second karate class into my schedule in march, I currently do class only one a week. (Facility booking issues)

Wow, this thread sure has picked up speed.....so glad to see so much activity!

cepmom, :welcome: and congratulations on your loss so far. Your weight loss to date is great! Although you are a little shy of where you want to be you lost your weight during the holiday season, one of the worst times of the year to do so, you should be proud. And good for you for getting on the treadmill, it is hard, but sometimes we just have to make ourselves do it. I have read somewhere that it takes three weeks to make something a habit, so keep pushing yourself and before you know it you will have a new routine.

 Mik. Thanks, I actually weighed in at Curves for the end of the No Gain Campaign and from Thanksgiving to today I lost almost 2 pounds, so I am thrilled. Now if I can make it through my birthday and this weekend I will be golden!

tubachick and chirurgeon, :welcome: to you both!! The more the merrier, everyone is welcome. tubachick I know what you mean about needing that extra support, that is one reason I have been around these boards for so long! <Edited to say I just read what mikamah said and I didn't mean to be a copy cat.....great minds just think alike. ;))

smwf71, you have come to the right place! There are several of us who have regained and lost again and I think the one thing that we learned is that the support here is a big key to success. We are all here to help one another, so :welcome:.

So many new folks here, this is wonderful!! Another big :welcome: to Temair, so glad you joined us. Congrats on your loss to date and good luck on reaching your goal.

Well, I am back again! I don't start my meetings till Saturday, but I know I am up again. And I know I probably gained everything, and then some, back from what I lost last year. UGH! But I know WW works and thats why I am going back. I just need to get my motivation back and its all good. Glad to see tiggerlover still as supportive of everyone as ever.

Glad to see everyone doing fine for the first week of the new year!:yay:

WI was yesterday and Im still maintaining.I have 1 week to go for Life Member.
DH lost the bet... He bet me I couldn't maintain thru Christmas and New Year. I said I would and if I DID he would have to join.

Welcome DH to WW !:rotfl2:

On with our challenge...

Hi everyone,

I've done weight watchers several times in the past. I've been paying for it every month since last June.

I finally went to a meeting again Wednesday night and this year's goal isn't so much about losing weight as it is about just being healthier. Hopefully that change in focus will help me succeed.

The good news was that I only weighed 1.2 lbs more than I did in June. However, that number is still too ridiculous to post.

My hubby jokes that I spend way too much time focused on Disney... little does he know that I found a WW board on here.

I've done pretty good since Wednesday. I walked Th and Fri morning already and I've only eaten one flex point so far.

I'm going to do a meeting/online combo.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas to help?

Thanks,

Gretchen

:welcome: gwcollins71 and Temair, and :welcome: back to Stacerita and smwf71!!
It's great to see so much activity on this thread. I have gotten the most inspiration and support from this thread, and it is the only one I have really stuck with since I joine wish.

Bareacuda-Congratulations to you for maintaining over the holidays!!!:cool1: That is awesome, and a big welcome to WW for Mr. Bareacuda!!! Will he be joining us here on the dis? Next week will be Lifetime for you!!!! Whoo hoo!!

gwcollins71-It is a great focus to be healthier, and weight loss will follow when we do all the right things. It sounds like you are on a good track, and maintaining, and not gaining and hopefully this year you will be able to lose. WW is an awesome program, and it definitely works. I'm also a repeat wwer, and have been on a very slow, two steps forward, one step back path, for the past 2+1/2 years, but for me, it is also about being healthier and being a good influence for my son, so I will be around for him for a very long time. Good luck. This is an awesome place to come for support.

Stacerita- :grouphug: on your gain. We have all been there. I remember how great you did last year, and you can do it again!!! :cheer2:

Temair-Congrats on your loss!!! Sounds like you have a great plan.

cepmom-Congrats on your loss!! 1.6 is a great loss for a week. Don't be too hard on yourself. Slow and steady will get that weight off.

smwf71- Welcome back to ww and wish. I'm doing ww on my own now too. I had done it many times before, and the plan is in my head. I get a lot of support here, like I used to get at meetings. You can do it, and plan in a little chocolate too!!

Tiggerlover- congrats on you loss over the holidays!! That is awesome!!! party: :bday: party: Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I am good to go so far - three successful days!

Best of luck to all - I will let you know Wed how I'm doing, too.

I am so ready to slip comfortably into shorts in March!

thank you both for your encouragement! I am happy I lost instead of gaining and in retrospect it is a good thing it was less than I had hoped because it has motivated me to get back on the treadmill and really focus on sticking to the plan ( i had been picking at food I shouldn't last week) I got on the treadmill again Thursday and Friday mornings....took today off because I had to go to DD's basketball game at 8:00. I am sore from the sudden increase in movement!
Good luck to everyone this week...it is discouraging to have put weight back on....I was in my fat pants a month ago....how depressing! But we can do this!

I just wanted to say I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Thanks Mikamah for the welcome and the good wishes. I know what you mean about the one step forward two step back thing. I feel that is how my weight loss goes.

Today I was a little out of control this afternoon. I ate a handful of fritos that husband was noshing on. I didn't plan for them so I'll be using the flex points for them. Other than that, I'm on track. I didn't get on the treadmill today, so I'll get on a little longer tomorrow.

My big worry is next week. I was on holiday break and we go back to school on Monday. It will be harder to plan and do the cooking for my husband and daughter. He may be eating frozen burgers all week. :lmao: Luckily, he likes burgers.

Cepmom, congratulations on the loss... :cheer2: Any loss is a good loss.

Have a great week everyone else.

Gretchen

I haven't posted much around WISH at all for awhile now. But I just rejoined WW officially last night and will try to keep up here. Its hard though with what little time I have. I go back to class next week after 2 weeks off I don't wanna. :lmao: But I only got 8 weeks of class left before I start my internship part of my schooling.

Did pretty good on my first day of journaling today. I used all my points and no allowance ones. :thumbsup2

Wanted to get in a workout but my brother came by and we painted so I painted one coat on a entire small room. That was workout for sure. So I'm counting that 30 minutes of painting as my exercise goal but I'll wait to start activity points when I get the stuff on Friday.:upsidedow

I'm excited to see what my weight loss will be on Friday. :goodvibes :woohoo:

Congratulations and welcome back Zoesmama! Also, good luck on your internship. What are you studying?

I know how you feel about not wanting to go back to school after the break. I'm in the same boat sort of. I'm the teacher now and not the student. :headache: The worst part is I am not in the classroom, I do a lot of paperwork and stuff so I don't get the fun part of teaching.

Good luck and keep up the great work this week:cheer2: .

Gretchen
