WW Weekly Weigh-in

I'm happy to report I'm down one more pound from last week. Not bad considering I didn't get too much exercise in. Some but not nearly as much as I should.

Weekends are still the hardest for me. I tend to snack more then and be more lazy. Need to work on that.

PDFG and all who need it.

I'm checking in and reporting that I'm down another 2.2 pounds which brings my total to 12.8 pounds. I'm so thrilled with this program. I think it's great that we can eat foods we really love and still lose weight. My husband and I hosted a dinner party for about 35 people. I track my points ahead of time for the week so I had already planned exactly what I was going to eat and I'm happy to report I still had about 14 flex points left for the week. I ate well, spent time with family and friends and did not stuff myself. It was brillant!!!! I feel like I can adapt to almost eating situation with flex. Did I mention that I just love this plan?

I do, however, need to exericse more. I worked out 4 times last week and my goal is 5 or 6 times per week. This morning I did a 3 mile WATP work out. Leslie is such a great motivator!

I hope everyone has a great OP day!!!

WDWLVR - congrats on your loss! Weekends are hardest for me too. I try to save my flex points for then so I can eat a little bit more if I want.

Good luck with the therapy. It must be a relief to know something is wrong, and sounds like it can be corrected with therapy, so that is good news. Busy time of year to add 3 appointments a week, but it will be worth it.

Yes, the holidays are here!!! Another year has flown by. I am getting very excited about the holidays. I changed jobs to an outpatient dept in september, and this is the first time I can ever remember being off thanksgiving and the long weekend, and I'll have a long weekend off over christmas too. I always worked every other weekend and holiday, so it is very exciting for me. I've been doing well this week, and am going to try and splurge on thursday, but to not totally lose control, and on friday, to get right back on track. We will be going to my nephews high school football game on thanksgiving, and usually go out to breakfast beforehand, and then will have dinner at my brothers house.

Hope everyone is doing well!! Have a great week!! I'll wish you all a happy Thanksgiving too, but hope to be back before then!!!

Thanks! The first therapy session was tough, it was three hours long because they have to evaluate you, but the next day I was sore. I hurt all night long, during the day and even last night. Today I am better, but when I went to Curves I had to pass on a couple of machines because my muscles are irrated. I go again tomorrow...ugh, I am already dreading it. But the bottom line is I need to go to strengthen the muscles in order to fix the problem, so I will live through it. They have agreed to see me twice a week if I will do the exercises at home one day a week, so it should be better trying to fit it all in.

I am so glad for you to have the holidays off this year. I am sure your son will certainly enjoy having you home. I have a friend who is a nurse and I see the long hours, weekends and holiday shifts that she pulls so I can understand your excitement.

As for me, the week before saw the scale go up a pound, I am still within goal, but not in my comfort zone. I hadn't journaled in about a month so this weekend I pulled out the old journal and signed up with Curves for their holiday challenge. I don't plan to splurge for Thanksgiving, I am saving that for Christmas!!

Best wishes to you and your family for a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Congrats on your loss for this week, every pound is one pound closer to your goal!! I know what you mean about weekends, what I have been trying to do is to stay busy so I can stay out of the kitchen. This time of year is a little easier for me as I usually spend the weekends out holiday shopping and out of the kitchen. I am also trying to snack every few hours so I don't munch all of the time.

You are doing so well with the program, congrats to you!!! Another great loss for the week and proof positive that you can adopt the program to fit your lifestyle. Sounds like you had a successful dinner party and a great time. Keep up the great work.

Hello everyone!!! I feel bad that I have not posted in so long! I guess it's that time of year!! I can' even remember if I thanked everyone for all the congrats for making goal... so thanks everyone!!! I really appreciate your support!! It has really helped me on my weight loss journey!! I am 3 weeks from lifetime, but I have decided to keep losing until then. I am still nervous about adding points (on purpose-LOL) and with the holidays coming I thought it would be better to have a little wiggle room... I have been using the "mental rehearsal" technique with myself about Thanksgiving dinner... I hope I have the power not to overdo it! We are cooking at my house (my mom is here staying with us) and the number of desserts that have made their way into my house are scary!!! Sometimes it's better for me not to even taste them!!! What do you guys do - take small servings of pies, etc or none at all? I don't want to deprive myself, but really, sometimes once I have a taste of something, I really want more!!!!
Anyway, hope everyone has a GREAT turkey day!!! :goodvibes

Just stopping by for a quick check-in. It sounds like everyone is doing well. Let's keep up the great work guys!

tiggerlover - thanks for the encouragement. I'm sure my weight loss will slow down. I'm just enjoying the ride for now. You'll hear me whine soon enough about the scale not cooperating, I'm sure!

Andrea - you're doing such a great job! I only hope when I reach goal that I can lose a few more as a cushion to make I stay there.

Have a happy and OP Tuesday everyone!

I was down .4 yesterday, and I'm happy with any loss. I really need to exercise more, and I know that will help. I heard yesterday that the average american gains 7 pounds between thanksgiving and new years, and I do not want to be that person. I looked at my weights from the last 2 years and one year I was the same the first week of the new year as the week before thanksgiving and the other year I was up 2 pounds. This is the first year I will not be going to meetings and having that accountability, so I need to be accountable to myself and plan my meals this month. I'd love to lose weight, but realistically, I'll be thrilled if I maintain over the holidays.

WDWLVR-Congrats on your loss.:cool1: One pound is an awesome weekly loss!!! Weekends are tough, and I too find myself being lazy, and those easy convenience foods aren't usually too healthy.

ZerasPride-Congratulations to you on your fabulous loss again!!! You are doing so great and an inspiration to us all here.

tiggerlover- Sorry to hear you had a gain last week, but it's great you have that leeway to work with. Journalling really does make a difference. I start to journal again, and after 2 days, it slips my mind, and doesn't come back. You are so good to save you splurge for Christmas. Guess that's why you're at goal!!!!! Have a wonderful holiday.

Andrea_loves_Disney- Awesome job you're doing at GOAL!! I love seeing that shiny red ribbon on yours and Tiggerlovers siggies. Some day, I will sport one too. Over the holidays, I definitely splurge, and take small pieces of desserts that I want to try. Some times, too many small pieces.:rolleyes1 Not a good roll model, but I find if I don't have it at the party, or family gathering, I feel deprived. I think if you do splurge on one big day, but stay on program the other 6 days that week, you can still see a loss, or at least maintain.

I wish you all a very happy thanksgiving.

Hope you all had a happy thanksgiving.

I had a very nice holiday, and continued into a nice weekend off, but definitely did not make too many smart food choices. I am up 2.4 pounds this week, but I'm determined to take it off next week. I have a retirement party on friday night, and sunday is my son's birthday. I'm trying to stick with my daily points and saving my flex points for those two parties. I'm writing everything down this week, and will not give up. I'm going to make chili for my son's party and I'll skip the pizza, and if I don't have the flex points left, I won't have cake. I got out for a 3 mile walk this morning, and will use those activity points today if needed. I want this to be like my first week again, and really be faithful. Lately, I can't seem to stick with it for more than a couple days, but I need to. My weight is up to 189, and I do not want to go back into the 190s again.

Have a great losing week.:cheer2: We can do this!!

You sound like you are in the same boat as me! This time of year just kills me! I made lifetime a few months ago, and since Thanksgiving, my weight has been up a few pounds as well. I have not been very good at counting all my points, but I am determined to stick with it! I gained 3 pounds the day after Thanksgiving, but upped my exercise the past 3-4 days. Weighed myself this morning, and the scale was kind to me today!:woohoo: I have lost 2 of those pounds, so maybe the extra exercise is finally showing. I would like to be faithful as well, and am set on getting back to where I was before the holiday! We can do it!!!:cool1: Let's all give each other that pep talk because we all know the holidays can be tough!

Tis the season of too many temptations!

I think no matter where we are in our personal weight loss journey that this time of year poses many challenges to us all. We all love food, that is why we are on this journey to begin with. The many seasonal temptations and the joy that comes with this time of year is just so hard to resist. We know the temptations are there so we need to stay strong, we need to come come to WISH to support one another and hope we have the will power to persevere this holiday season. Together we can do this!!

We definitely can do this!!!!!! :cheer2:

This is my third day actually totally on program. I have only used one flex point and have 4 daily points left for a snack during grey's anatomy. For me having such a big gain was a wake up call, that I can't go back to eating without thinking about what it will do to me. I love the holidays, and am trying to make them less about food, and more about family, friends and fun.:santa:

Harvest02- Kudos to you for getting right back on track. It's something we have to work at our whole lives, and reaching goal and achieving lifetime is the next step in your journey. It must feel great to be there.

Good evening everyone. I can't believe I haven't checked in since the 20th. Things have been so busy especially with DH and I celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary this past Monday. My boss gave us a generous gift card to a snazzy steakhouse and I'm so proud of myself for staying within my points and only eating what I had journaled. I am especially proud that when they brought a complimentary chocolate mousse with whipped topping to our table in a graham cracker crust drizzled with raspberry sauce and powdered sugar that I only had a tiny taste. DH gladly finished it off but I did get to try it and it was out of this world fantastic!

TOM is a little off this month - came early and now my body is convinced this is the week I should have it so I was retaining water pretty badly. I sneaked a peak at the scale this morning and the water weight is pretty much gone but I don't know if I'll see a loss or not with official WI tomorrow, we'll see. I'm hoping for at least .2 pounds which will be put my loss at 14 pounds. We'll see.

I hope you have a great Saturday night and I will try to check in tomorrow.

 Hi all! I have very little free time these days and even less time to spend on the computer.

Mik, bravo to you for your realization and staying OP, just don't sell yourself too short in the points department as you don't want to set yourself up for a splurge because you aren't getting enough.

Happy Anniversary, ZerasPride! That was a very generous gift from your boss and kudos to you for staying within what you budgeted and just having a taste of your celebratory dessert. Isn't it great to know we can be satisfied with a tast and not the whole thing! TOM and female hormones are a pain to deal with especially when they are out of whack, hopefully this week will be a better week in regards to the water weight.

As for myself I am wiped out, I feel like I am burning the candle at both ends and I just am exhausted. I work 40 hours a week, I go to physical therapy 3 times a week for two hours each, I go to Curves 3 times a week for 45 minutes, I go to WW for 90 minutes a week, plus I am mom, wife, cook, etc. Then on top of all this throw in holiday shopping, car repairs and a 3K walk today and I am pooped! I know it will slow down after the holidays, but for now I am spent. I am holding my own with my weight, still teetering at goal and hoping to get below, but not stressing over it right now (I just don't have time). This week my WW leader asked if I would consider working for WW and that she would put in a recommendation, but I simply can't even consider that at this time.

Hope everyone out there is doing well, seems like our thread has slowed down a lot lately, I guess everyone out there is busy too! Take care fellow WW!!!

Good evening fellow WWers.

I have had a pretty successful weekend, and went to a party friday, and had my son's birthday party today. I used about 16 fps on friday, and finished the 35 today, plus 4 extra, and have written and accounted for everything. Tomorrow is my last day of the week, and I'm working, so that makes it easy for me to stay on track. Plus, I did have cake and ice cream today, and feel quite satisfied. It makes such a difference to me if I journal everything, even if I go a little above the 35 fps, I know it's way less than when I'm not keeping track.

ZerasPride- that dessert sounds absolutely delicious, so congratulations to you for having just a small taste. Hope you had a good weighin today.

tiggerlover-Hello and thanks. It is amazing how when I have a positive and successful attitude how satisfying my 25 points can be. Plus I had a plan for the flex points this weekend, so I didn't feel neglected earlier in the week. But I know what you mean. I am tired just reading your post about your hectic schedule. You must be exhausted. You should try and take some quiet personal time for yourself, and reenergize. Let the housework go, and send the husband and kids out for takeout a few days a week. I know it's a crazy time of year, but you deserve it. For what it's worth, I think you would make an awesome WW leader. You have been the most inspiring and supportive poster on this thread, and you definitely are a ww success. Are you considering working for WW after the holidays? You'd be great at it. Hope things slow down a little for you and you can enjoy the holiday season.

Here's to a losing december, or a maintaining one!! We can to it!!:cheer2:

Weighed in and I am down 3 pounds today, bringing me to 40.2 pounds gone!! I'm determined to stay below that number, and if I can lose a little more before Christmas week, I'll have a little buffer. I could finally get a new wish clippie. I've been sporting the 20 pound one for ages now.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooo excited for you!!! Keep the momentum going, you CAN do this!!!

:bday: Michael! I hope he had a wonderful birthday!!! With your weight loss this week I have to say you planned well for the two parties you had. Good for you!! Planning and a positive attitude go a long, long way to success and you are proving that.

Some great ideas for me, but hard to put into action. I already feel guilty about the time my exercise and PT is taking away from the family, so I don't feel I can take that extra time to myself. Tomorrow night DH and I are going to grab a bite to eat together as DS has an activity going on, so although it is only Chick-fil-a, it will be a nice break.

Thanks for your kind words. Believe it or not I am very shy and can not even picture myself getting up in front of a crowd of people at a meeting. Maybe behind the desk doing check-in's, but just not at this time. I am not sure about after the holidays, I haven't even given it another thought. I guess never say never, only time will tell.

Hope you have a great week!!!

ITA!!! She is one AWESOME person!!! :woohoo: :thumbsup2

Personally, altho I haven't checked in here for some time, I'm still on maintenance, but at a (still hopeful) losing point value of 19, because I gained a while back. No matter what I do tho, I can't lose anything! :confused3 My cholesterol took a total POSITIVE reversal tho, so something is working - I guess? :confused3 I'm still counting and journaling, but I think my body has gone into "save" mode. I've been NOT losing/and sometimes GAINING since MAY! :headache: Really struggling, but I DO still have many, many pounds gone -for good! I know/think I can keep THOSE away! ;)

:thumbsup2

WISHing you ALL success and control during these HUGELY tempting times! I'm right there with you! :rolleyes1

:grouphug:

So I havent checked in for several weeks now. And I've been doing very well!
Today I hit my 10% and goal weight!
It has been a real struggle for me. With the outrigger racing season done, Ive lost the rest of the weight.

I may not be the biggest poster here, but Iam the best lurker!!!:rotfl:

Thanks for all the support.

Congrats to all that are working their way down the scales, and to those who are struggling(like me) keep working, we're behind you all the way!

Now... on to "Life"
