Great trip report. I love Wilderness Lodge!

I was late to the party and just finished reading everything. I loved your retelling of your trip! The multiple voices was great with 2 different perspectives. As a Disney lover with a teenaged daughter, I enjoyed seeing Allie in the pictures and hearing about her experiences (along with Marshall's). Allie seemed so happy and excited to be at Disney! We are actually going this weekend, for the first time in 4 years. I'm hoping my daughter will be just as happy as Allie was, though my daughter isn't quite as excited about Disney. (She did still want to go though, given the option.) Thanks for spending the time to put that all together. It was so fun reading about your trip!

You weren't late, it was just in time for your trip. I hope you had an excellent trip to Disney and that your daughter got to find something to make it extra special. For Allie, getting to shop on her own a little bit was a game changer, and she also really has gotten into planning her outfits for the trips. It leads to having to buy more clothes ahead of time, but she enjoys it and stays super motivated in the trip planning. Once we're on the trip, it is just up to the mood of the day, and we do our best to roll with whatever.

Thanks! We really love it too, and getting to buy there made DVC more appealing to us. Then getting to add on there made sense and that's where we are... It is a great resort and we always can't wait to go back.

Thanks! I actually read the part about the outfits in your response to my daughter on our trip!
My daughter enjoyed this trip, though she didn't want her picture taken much. She said she also chose her outfits before the trip, though she also bought a few things at the parks. We gave her a set amount of money and let her spend it how she wished in the parks, which she really liked too (not including food). She also has several food allergies, and Disney knocked it out of the park this time! We ate at Le Cellier, Liberty Tree, and Pop Century (multiple times). In the past we've had a mix of great experiences and some not, but this time all went well.

And I get that about the moods - she did have a couple, but not nearly like when we last visited when she was 12. (To be fair, we also traveled with my parents last time, and she didn't enjoy waiting on their slower pace.) I'm so glad Allie likes Disney so much. My daughter likes Disney, but not as much as Allie seems to. She doesn't really want to visit every year (though I'd be happy to do that!!) I look forward to hearing about your next trip plan!

Sounds like you had a great trip. I’m glad she found ways to have extra fun. Allie does really love it and wants to go every year, but that limits the other things that we can do. It’s all good though, time together that we can all enjoy is special.

Hello! So we’re a few Holidays behind. Halloween was fun and we tricolor treated around our town with friends. Then we were home for Thanksgiving and had a great Christmas Eve with extended family at home and our immediate family on Christmas morning. Then a quick dune trip and the start of a new year brings us to 149 days until our next WDW trip. We were just talking about how we will have to kick off the PTR soon. We will post when we do.
