booking stay at both 11 month and 7 month ?

I'd try booking BW Garden view (most likely) or BW view starting tomorrow to see if you can get a room. If you can get a room started tomorrow at BWV, then you will almost know that you can get it for the 4 nights starting Dec 12. You can walk the 4 nights forward towards the 12th until the 12th becomes your first night. From what I can see your best bet is a garden view, with BW view slightly possible.

Once you get or if you get your first 4 nights at BW, then continue and use your OKW points to book the last 3 nights. At 7 months if BW has any 2 bedroom availability for your last three nights book it. Very doubtful. You can waitlist but it's a difficult catch.

From the 5th to the 12th you are trying to get your foot in the door. If you are lucky enough to get that, then you would use the 'Modify' function to move up to the actual nights you want.

You will need to book at 8am as quickly as your fingers can fly.

If you wait until 11 months to book Tuesday-Friday, it’s entirely likely that the earlier dates (Saturday-Monday) will be booked up and won’t come available again. IOW, I agree with @Judique that you should consider walking this reservation, starting tomorrow or as soon as you can.

In early December, EVERY night is just as hard to get as every other.

Don't get hung up on that question. For this situation it doesn't come into play. Once you have locked in a room, you just continue to the nights you actually want to keep.

It pains me to have to spell this out as I am an owner at BWV trying to pick up rooms there also, just not a two bedroom which presents a double challenge. Booking this time period is a challenge, but if those are your home resort 11 month points this is what we now have to do.

OKW will also eventually book up but it's a piece of cake compared to trying to use your BW points to pick up a 2 bedroom in December at BWV.

For getting BWV boardwalk or resort view studios and 2BRs in Dec, the day of the week makes no real difference, For the entire December month, those rooms, for any given arrival date, tend to fill within seconds after 8 a.m. at 11-months out. The only ones usually open for any given arrival date at 11-months out are rooms from which other members are checking out on that date.

I understand the walking. What I was referring to is because I have points at 2 resorts therefore I can get part of my BW stay at 11 months but the rest will be at 7 months.
Was wondering if I should I get the 11 months for the end of the week and then try for the beginning at the 7 month window.
Or even get both my weekends at the 11 month and mid week nights at 7 months to fill the ressie.

I would try for BWV asap and try to get the walk going towards the 12th. My understanding is you have to split the stay and depend on OKW points at 7 Months. If you don't get BW now, it's very unlikely you will get 7 full nights at 7 months. The end of your stay 16 through 19, booked at OKW would be three nights and possibly easier to replace a bit at a time with any leftovers from BW. (If any).

My other comment: I've looked at your signature trips to BWV may have left you out of the loop. The low points at BWV Garden, BWV and Resort have become VERY attractive to speculators and they are snapped up pretty quick for the early December holiday season. Back 2018, 2019 - not so much. You are looking at a slightly different scenario now. And recently we have been alerted that even DVC themselves try to take these rooms to book for people trading their points out. Not so sure they are too pervasive as I didn't see that many on the website but every bit of interest makes it harder for owners to book. There's no sleeping on this job.

I did see that they pulled some AK Club for December but that could be for the remodel thing over there.

Not sure if it is a Covid thing or what but not as much going on as we remembered on the walk itself.

Great! I think you will be happy with your room choice at OKW.

In 2024, we did 6 adults in a Boardwalk view 2 bedroom. Location worked perfectly for us. Rooms were squished and awkward, with the exception of the master which had 2 people. 3 were in the studio side and it was wall to wall stuff, mostly because my all adult guests had flown in for a 3 week trip and had a lot of luggage. The kitchen worked fine but for sitting to eat it was again too small an area.

And for 6 adults 2 baths didn't cut it.

All said we had a wonderful get together and we hope to repeat it again in a larger house offsite because even the grand villa wouldn't work for us if a few more people came as we have a very large extended family.
