WW Weekly Weigh-in

I'm down 1.8 this week - slow and steady wins the race. At least I earned my 20 lbs. clippie back again. Down 21 total - with 13.6 to go to be where the doctor would like me at.

I can relate to all of you that are struggling. It's been over a year for me on the program now and I found staying on program is key. If I don't count - I gain - bottom line.

I hope everyone has a good "losing" week!:goodvibes

I was up 2.8 this morning and at first was shocked to see such a big gain, but as I thought about the past few weeks, I had it coming. I've had small losses the prior two weeks, but had been using all my fps plus extra, and I think I got a little cocky that I could eat over the plan, and still lose weight. This week, I started the mornings out good, but most evenings, I stopped tracking. I wasn't out of control, but did have pizza and a small piece of cake one day, and definitely had a few too many 100 calorie packs in the evenings. I'm taking it as a wake up call, and I'm starting fresh, on program with every bite written down. My weight loss has been so slow, and up and down, but at my meeting this morning several people talked and seem to be in the same boat. I'm guessing the majority of us take a while to lose the weight, and I won't give up this time. This will be the time that it works, and I will stick it out.

Congratulations to all who have lost this week!!! Nice work!!! You are inspirational to me.

pixiedust: and good wishes to all of those struggling this week. Hang in there. We can do this!!! Spring is coming and warmer weather and sunshine definitely will do us all some good.

Thanks Tiggerlover! I am happy that it was a loss and not a gain. But it gets frustrating. Almost a frustrating as figuring out how those cookies jumped into my basket and got opened up in the car before I even made it home today. Can someone please tell me how that happened????

lol :rotfl: :lmao:

Hi everyone, So I didn't lose anything this week. I'm really frustrated.

I switched to Core this past week. In the past I've switched for 1 to 2 weeks at a time and had really good losses. Usually over 2lbs for the week. So I switched hoping for a repeat. The really frustrating thing was yesterday morning I weighed in at home and was down 1lb. But then this morning, at home before WW, I was up. ARGHHH! I really hate it when I stick to it and exercise and see nothing. Maybe WW isn't for me??? I'm going to stick to Core this week again because I think I eat too much sugar. And core forces me to not eat as much. On flex I save a couple points a day plus my weekly 35 for snacks/sweets. So I was hoping by limiting myself to 5 points a day (35/7=5) then I would be doing myself a great favor.

Anywho.....

Mikamah, sorry you had a gain. You have a great attitude about it. Good luck this week!

Knovak, Congratulations on your loss. And I think that I'm going to be like you said "If i don't count I gain" . That definitely seems to fit with me as well.

On a side note: a friend told me when she did WW a long time ago and lost 50 lbs. One of her favorite things was sauteed cabbage. So i tried it. I cut cabbage very thin, like coleslaw, and cut up carrots very thin. And sauteed in a little olive oil for a long time over low heat. And I enjoyed it very much. I'm always looking to add variety to my veggie choices.

Good luck everyone! We can do it!

Darn, Stacerita, can't explain those jumpin cookies, that's a tough one.

knovak, congrats on the 20# clippie, that is wonderful, you must be so proud of yourself. You are so right, slow and steady does win the race! Keep on racing!!

mik, I sure am sorry to hear about your gain, but I have to say your attitude and perspective is so right on. Perserverance pays off in the end and losers are winners! Hang in there my friend, together, we can persevere!

fofinia, I feel your frustration. One thing I know about this journey is that you have to stay the course, your body weight fluctuates daily for a variety of reasons and we aren't always going to have a loss. Hang in there and good luck on core and on your journey.

I had my weigh in tonight and I lost the .8 that I gained last week. So I am back to being 1.4# away from WW goal and 3.4# away from my personal goal. We have the knowledge to succeed, we just need to follow what we know to reach the goals we have set.

Happy friday everyone.

I am going out to lunch today, and thought I'd stop by and get some good, healthy motivation from you all here. I've checked out the menu on line, but nothing jumped out to me as too low point, so I need to have soup and salad, or fish without all the extra butter, if I want to stay on track. Which I do. I started a new tracker today, but I also have plans for monday, and next thursday, so I need to ration out those flex points. I did make a chicken soup that's low point to help keep me on track. I want this weight gone, so I need to stay in control.

Fofinia- Hang in there. Give it another week, and maybe all will even out and you'll have a good loss. I've never tried core, because I definitely eat too many prepared foods and snacks. Some days I eat real healthy and think I could do core, and others I know that 35 fps will never be enough. Good luck this week.

Tiggerlover-Congratulations on your loss!! You are so close to goal, I'm so excited for you. Keep up the awesome work!:cool1:

Have a great losing weekend everyone. We can do this!!!:cheer2:

Still can't explain those jumping cookies. Its a good thing I ate them all last weekend so I won't be tempted by them this weekend. I weigh in tomorrow. Im hoping for a loss. I worked out everyday and watched my points the rest of the week. Well, after the jumping cookies incident. Im not expecting a huge loss, I will just be happy with anything.

Congrats Tiggerlover on being that much closer to your goal.

Sauteed cabbage? At first it sounded icky to me, but now I'm thinking I must try it. Thanks for the tip. Always looking for something different.

Good luck everyone!!

down 1.4 this week for exactly 10 pounds since January. I feel like the tortoise... slow and steady all the way!

Congratulations tiggerlover! And thanks for the encouragement.

Mikamah, I hope your lunch went well. Sometimes I find I'm going out a million times a week and find it impossible to keep on track. But this week I've been home everyday, and am finding being home too much almost as hard!
Good luck for everything you have coming up.

Congratulations Mermaid! I like your analogy of the turtle. I'm going to remind myself of that. The turtle did win the race. And I think races of endurance are the hardest to maintain and finish. So me too slow and steady!

Good luck everyone!

Stayed the same this week - better than gaining. I guess I need to use less flex points or exercise more. Hope everyone has a "losing" week!:goodvibes

I am new to this part of the boards. I started WW Jan 2. On my weigh in last Wed I was down 17.6lbs. I think this is the first time in my life I have managed to lose weight. It is also the first time that I have given it an honest try. I haven't added exercise yet. I can't put that off much longer. I hope next weigh in I'll have lost 10% and will formally set a goal.

Welcome to Wish!!!:wizard: :wizard:

Congratulations on the wonderful loss so far! When I hit my 10% my leader didnt sit down with me to set a goal. So I'm just aiming for 150. Which will put me 10 or so pounds the heavy end of WW goal for me. But it is realistic for me to aim for that and so I am. But after I hit that point I'll have to reassess. Keep up the good work!

Knovak, sorry you didn't have a loss. We seem to be doing the same this week. Hopefully next week we can drop again.

Good luck everyone!!!

A GREAT BIG :welcome: to WISH and to WW!!! And a hearty congratulations on losing 17.6 pounds in such a short period of time. You have come to a wonderful place for support and motivation and we always love welcoming new people to the fold. Good luck on your continued journey.

Stacerita, so glad you got those jumping cookies out of the way, they sure can be hazardous. ;)

Mermaid, a great loss for the week, keep up the great work!

Mik, hope the lunch went well for you. Those eating out moments always present a challenge in itself, but I have found the key (most of the times) is planning, which it sounds like you did. Bravo to you!

knovak, staying the same can be frustrating, I know that all too well, but the bottom line is that staying the same is not a gain so celebrate!

This week I think I am doing okay so far. My leader and I decided I need to drop a point a day, which is going well, a lot easier than dropping 2 points a day. So we will see where that brings us on Thursday. It would be great if I could lose the 1.4 I need for goal, but I am not counting on it. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Onward and downward folks! And slow and steady certainly wins the lifetime race!!!!:cheer2:

Hi all I am new to this thread

I did WW back in 99 and kept off a lot of that weight. I have been up and down in the years, but just went back on Sat to WW. Now I have 25 to lose now. this winter I have put on 15 lbs! :( I will be back with a WW next week.

Glad I found the thread :)

Okay- I made a pledge to myself this morning. I'm going to commit myself to counting my points diligently. I've been doing WW since the beginning of January and things are going sooooo slowly- I feel myself losing my drive. I need to step it up- be more accountable and I'm starting today. I'm making my lunch and taking it to work.... I had a nutritious breakfast and I already KNOW what's for dinner.

I CAN do this!!!

I lost 1.2 today at weighin!!! Hoping to be the first of many future losses. My big gain last week was definitely a wake up call to stick with the program and stay within my points or I'm not going to lose. I went out to lunch and got a grilled chicken and veggie wrap sandwich with salad, and a mararita for 15 points total on friday. My birthday was sunday, so my son and I made me a little cake, and had 10 points worth sat and sunday. I worked sunday and for my birthday, my friends at work who know I'm doing WW brought in fruit salad, fat free vegie dip, and a ww key lime pie which was awesome. I was able to graze all day, and only ate about 9 points. I was supposed to go out to breakfast today, but my friend cancelled, which worked fine for me. I knew I was going to want pancakes and sausage, but after weighin, it might have been too hard to order an eggbeater omelett. I have been good about writing everything down this week when I eat it, so nothing slips my mind, and I had a loss. I continue to be amazed when the program works. It's just sticking with it that can be so challenging.

Mermaid02-Slow and steady will definitely lose the weight. Good for you for recommitting yourself. It's definitely worth it and it does work. I keep my tracker in my pants pocket at work so I can write any little nibble I might eat. Good luck and congrats on your loss.

Miss missy- Welcome to the wonderful world of WISH. and good luck on your ww journey. This board is a great place to find inspiration and support.

Tiggerlover- Hope you are doing well with the decrease in points. It's always hard to cut back, but maybe this will be just the boost you need to reach goal. Good luck this week!!!!

Knovak- Hang in there. Hope you see a good loss this week.

123SA- Welcome to Wish. This is a wonderful place. Congratulations on your awesome loss so far. Keep up the great work.

Fofinia- I think it's definitely harder to eat out all the time. Too much temptation. Though home is difficult too. I guess food follows us everywhere leading us into temptation. Hope you are doing well on core and see a good loss this week.

Stacerita- Too funny with the jumping cookies. My son had me open a bag of the ranch flavor mini rice cakes the other day at the grocery store, and I ate half the bag without even thinking. Figured out it was 8 points when I got home. Hope all those naughty groceries stay on their shelves.

Thank you all for the support and inspiration. Have a great week!!!

I haven't posted in almost 2 months. I'm still on plan--lost about 10 pounds since my last post on this thread. I've been reading up on all the successes and trying times. I'm in need of some motivation so I've come to this wonderful place. I'm hoping that getting back to posting and involved with everyone's successes will give me a boost of motivation.

Fridays are my WI days so I'll be back on Friday.

Welcome Miss missy! So glad you could join us!

Congratulations Mikamah!!! I think that was so awesome of your work friends to bring you in the WW friendly foods! Core is going well so far..... well actually I had a cookie incident yesterday. If I don't use any more extra points this week I should be fine. I weigh in on Weds. So hopefully......I'm holding my breath here!

Tiggerlover, I hate losing a point. oh man it doesn't seem like one or two a day would be that big a deal. My little sister just dropped three. Yuck. Good luck! I hope you can keep it smooth sailing!

Welcome back Kathiniowa! We've missed you. Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Good luck everybody!!
