Congratulations Stacerita!!!!! What a great holiday weight loss!!

Welcome Fofinia. Congratulations on your weight loss. I'm am a very slow loser, up and down in little bits. I've been doing WW (this time) for over a year, and have lost 31 pounds. It's very slow, but for me it is better that way. I'm planning to stick with it this time. When I've stopped in the past, I always gain back all I've lost, plus some. I'm 40 pounds above the high range of the WW goal, but would be thrilled to lose another 20-25 pounds. Sounds like your gain this week is fluid related. Next week should be better.

IWantMyDVC- Hang in there, and don't let it get you down. Christmas comes but once a year. I weigh in tomorrow, and am sure I'll be in the same boat, but am planning on a fresh start.

Congrats Tiggerlover on your minimal gain!!!!!

I've been out of control the past week, and am prepared for a big gain. My original holiday goal was to stay under 200#, and I can gain 5 pounds and still be under. I'm hoping not to gain that much, but tomorrow will tell. I'm drinking tons of water today.;)

Good luck everyone!!!

Just back from WW and up 3.4 pounds!!! Whoo hoo!!!! I'm not thrilled, but I know it could have been worse. If there are 3000 calories per pound, then I consumed 10,000 calories more than I should have. My holidays are now officially over, and I am back on program and planning to stay here!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

3.4 is under the 5 you were allowing yourself so at least you didn't go over. My thinking was that the holidays come around once a year, certain foods are only available once a year so why not enjoy a little? Now that the weigh in is behind you it is time to move forward to the new year and the new year.

I'm in the gained a few boat with a few of the others. I'm a little disappointed because I don't think I was THAT bad at my food choices. Too many of Santa's cookies I suppose. I've been back on track since Tuesday (only took 2 days off for the holiday) and am hoping for a nice loss next Friday.

Hang in there everyone! We'll get through this!

Have a great week.

Thanks for the welcome Mikamah!! I know it is good to lose slow....But I don't like it!!!

IWantMyDVC- Sometimes for me I gain even when I don't think I will. And my leader said for her it was an every other week thing (lose one week and not the next). Probably next week you'll have a good one.

Tiggerlover- I hate going to the Dr. But maybe I should to see what she would say about a healthy weight range for me? The top weight for my height is 145 but that is for 45+ I think. But I'm only 31. I think when I get to 150 I'll be happy. But who knows???

I switched back to points this week. I was on core for 3 weeks. I liked the freedom of core but 2 weeks without a loss, so I thought I should go back to the original.

I'm concerned about my upcoming trip. I leave in 18 days and am on the dining plan. I've been really looking forward to going and not being on a diet. But now I'm afraid to go off. I mean if I can gain or not lose while on plan....I'm definitely going to gain if I'm off!! And then how long to get that off?? I wish my overall total was higher. I don't know.

Good luck everyone!

UGH! Terrible weigh in today. I gained 8 ounces. This is the first time since I started WW that I didn't have a loss. And I know exactly what happened. Darn Christmas! Too much Almond Champagne and too many ham sandwhiches. One glass would have been fine, but I polished off two bottles myself. And one ham sandwhich would have been workable, but not three! And that was all in the same day. Not to mention the junk that floats into my mouth when Im with the family. And holidays are really stressful for me. And Im a stress eater so I knew it was gonna be a rough weigh in. Im just glad it was over a pound. I would have really taken it bad. Im upset at the gain, but I know its not that bad and I am keeping it in perspective. And I just have to work harder this week. Which will be hard since we are doing Goofy's Kitchen on monday. And damn whoever opened that box of See's candy thats sitting on my dining room table. Its calling me. I should be able to resist though since my faves are already gone.

Good luck to everyone this week.

Hey Stacerita, don't beat yourself up. I'm sure you'll lose that this week. The holidays are tough. It's a new day and a new week. I hear you about the stress eating. It's been a stressful couple of days for me, but I'm trying not to eat through it. Hang in there, and have a blast at Goofy's kitchen.

Fofinia- I was in WDW the first week of Dec, and was pleasantly surprised to only have a small weight gain. There are lots of healthy choices. I tried to have a salad when I could and only had a Mickey Bar about every other day. We had a light breakfast-fruit and breakfast bars most mornings, and that made a difference. I had the kids pancake and bacon breakfast one day, and that was plenty for me. And you definitely will be doing a lot of walking. Enjoy yourself and make smart choices and you will be fine.

Tiggerlover- thanks for the support. It is a new year, and the holidays are almost over. Phew!!

KATHINOWA, I think there are many of us in that boat this week. I think we all know what we did wrong and I am sure next week will be a lot better for many of us. On a bigger scale, at my WI on Tuesday the room total was only 8 pounds, so that says a lot about the group and the holidays, so we are definitely not alone in our gains.

fofinia, what your doctor says may surprise you. I told my doc that my range was 122-150 and she said that was crazy for my age (40 next week), my body type (not sure what she meant by that and my height (5'5"). She gave me a note to WW that says 160 would be alright for me. So you never know. I was afraid to ask because I thought the doctor would agree with WW, I am so glad I did ask though. As for going to the World, can you look at menu's before you go to kind of have a plan in place for your trip? Try making good choices most of the time this way if you have a little splurge (plus all the added walking) you should be okay.

Stacerita, like I said above to KATHINOWA, sounds like you know where you strayed and in the grand scheme of things 8 oz. is not all that terrible, so now that the holiday is behind us it is time to look forward. I am sure this will be a better week for us all!! And as hard as it is, give that box of See's away, then it can't call your name any more!!

mikamah, great words of advice to the others! And you are welcome, that is what we are here to do SUPPORT, ENCOURAGE and CELEBRATE with one another. You guys are the cornerstone to each others success.

Onward and downward gang!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the encouraging words. I know exactly where I slipped up (i let that yummy junk food jump on my plate) and I know what needs to be done to get back on track. I just got back from the produce store and the grocery store. So Im all stocked up on the good stuff. Got fruit and veggies for days. And have all the fixins for my soup. Plus healthy things to make for dinner this week. Im all set! But I am still gonna let myself indulge tomorrow at Goofy's Kitchen. I just can't say no to bacon, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, mickey nugets, tots, and that wonderful dessert buffet. Im gonna just go with it, eat what I want and then get back to business the next day. I've lost 27 pounds so far, I can get the rest off. I will do it.

Yesterday at the meeting the facilitator had said about us making resolutions. She said to write them done and word them as you have already done it. Like "I lost 25 pounds" "I am a size 6" "I walk every day". Something about the wording has power. I think I may try it. It can't hurt.

Happy New Year!!!!

My point counting begins again tomorrow. I've got my books out and my journal. I've got my water glass sitting on my counter as well.

For everyone that has weighed in since the Christmas, don't be too hard on yourself. Remember that we all are human and if you deprive yourself of things, you will indulge on them even more. You enjoyed the holidays, now it is time to get back OP and serious about things. You all are doing great, keep up the great work.

I look forward to getting back OP and here on the WW thread.

Stacerita, that sounds like good advice from your group leader. My leader gave us something similar, but I have yet to fill it out. She wanted us to make a resolution that says, "On January 1, 2008 I want to be........" I really need to put some thought into where I want to be in a year and I think I might use what your leader said for the back side. Positive reinforcement is the way to go!!

Tammy, good to see you back on board. I look forward to "seeing" you around.

Happy New Year, everyone!!! I hope 2007 brings less of all of us! party:

Happy New Year to you too, Debbie - and everyone here! :yay:

I am BACK on the weight LOSS train. :rolleyes1 I'll settle for 10 but, 15 would be fab, too. I was at both weights, once before, so I know I can do this again.:thumbsup2 ;) I need to re-earn my 75 clippie.

Do I REALLY need to go back to 18 points tho?!?!?!:scared1: :headache: I deserve it. :guilty:

We can do this!!!!! :cheer2: :grouphug:

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and are now on the way to big success in 2007!!!

Have a great week!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone!

Thought I'd reintroduce myself since I'm back after the birth of my son (an adorable little guy if I might add my clearly unbiased opinion  ). Last time here, I'd lost about 15 lbs of a 30 lb weight loss goal before I got pregnant. Gained 40 pounds during the pregnancy  Fortunately, the first 25 fell back off pretty quickly, but the last 15 won't budge. :confused3 And I'm sure the holiday didn't help. So I'm back to the beginning and looking to lose that 30 lbs all over again. Away we go . . . :thumbsup2

Happy New Year

Hi, I'm new to the WISH board. Thought I would jump in here. I started WW in February 2006. I lost 29 lbs in 8 months. It was slow going but I kept reminding myself that if I lost it slowly, it would more than likely stay off. I was making a lifestyle change, not dieting.

Then we went to WDW for 8 nights with the dining plan. Even with all the walking we did, I gained 4 lbs! I tried to get right back on the plan when we got back but only managed to loose 2 lbs. before the holidays came. The holiday of course were a disaster. I am definitely a stress eater and since I was under a lot of stress at work and there were always holiday goodies at the office I gained 14 pounds!

I've decided to not let the past few months get in the way of my original overall goal to loose a total of 50 lbs and get healthy. So I am back on track as of today and hope all of your stories and support will help me reach my goal.

Heatherfeather24- Welcome back and congratulations on the birth of your son. Children are the most wonderful reason for weight gain. This is a great board for support and motivation. Good luck to you!!

Bashful in TN- Welcome to WISH. This is a great place to find support and inspiration. I'm also a slow loser, had lost 31 in 16 months, total now 28 since the holidays. I would love it to come off quicker, but also consider this a lifestyle change, and am planning to continue WW until the weight comes off, no matter how long it takes. I know if I stop, it all will fly back on. The holidays are over, and it's new year, new start. You can do this. Hanging around her and hearing everyone else's stories definitely can help. We all will lose this year!! Good luck!!!

I am back from my first weigh in in 2007 and I am happy to report a loss of 1.4 pounds. I FINALLY made my 10% and I am now 5-1/2 pounds away from goal!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

 Hi Kim! Glad to see you around, I had been wondering where you had been lately. Do you really only get 18 points....that would kill me. With the new program everyone gets different points based on a new questionaire, you may want to check it out as you may qualify for more points. I should be at 21 points, but I am still losing at 24 points so my leader said don't change until I have 2 weeks of no loss....I am all for more points!

:dogdance: heatherfeather, congrats on the birth of your son. There is nothing sweeter than a new baby and what a great excuse to gain weight. Now that you are back at it and the holidays are over you will start seeing the weight coming off. Welcome back!

Hi Bashful, welcome to WISH!:welcome: I think everyone kind of slides around the holidays, the important thing is you are here and ready to go. You did it before so I am sure you will see success again.

Onward and downward WISHers!!!! 2007 is going to be a great year!!

tiggerlover: Congratulations on your loss!:cheer2:

I also wanted to thank you for your inspirational and supportive posts. They are a great help to me!:thanks:

Hi everyone,
I was away from WW's since the beginning of December. I got sick and then the Holidays.
I gained 5.2, but I'm back on track and have actually lost a little over a pound since Monday.

I'm rearing to go now!

I'm intrigued by the new program. :scratchin Haven't made it to a meeting yet, just following the program (for nursing moms) with my old WW materials. I've got to get my behind back to the meetings to learn what it's all about. :moped:
