WW Weekly Weigh-in

Thanks Tiggerlover ... I will be mostly in England, France and Italy with a stopover in Barcelona ... I'm going on one of the Med Cruises with the Magic ... I can't wait. This will be my second time overseas, first time was 30 years ago in Highschool (I'm dating myself) ! It's also my second cruise (first one was in 85) !

Hi everyone, I'm back after a MAJOR fall off the wagon! Me and my girls all came down with the flu at the same time, then I ate like a pig over Thanksgiving. I'm trying to get back in the swing of things now, I will start going back to my meetings this week. I just wanted to check back in and say HI and I'm starting over! Oh, and we had to cancel our Christmas trip to WDW, which is actually a good thing, but still makes me sad anyway. But we are going to go in Feb or March, so that will make up for it a little!

I am sure you will have a wonderful time! My DH says Barcelona is great and we've both been to England and Italy and they are great too. You must be so excited.

Hey weight watchers....where is everyone????? I can't believe no one has posted here for 4 days! Is everyone busy getting ready for the holidays? I miss you guys and am wondering how you all are doing....this is such a difficult time of year (eating wise) so we need each other now more than ever. So good or bad post away so we can support one another.

I just got back from weigh in and I am down another 2.4, can't believe I have had a couple of super weeks in a row. Guess I am getting off some of the pounds because I know what is coming in the next couple of weeks. I am down a total of 17#, which puts me 7-8# away from my personal goal. (Still waiting to talk to the doctor about what "goal" weight is right for me since I think WW's weight range is not realistic for me). But we are chugging along. One lady tonight made lifetime and another lady reached her personal goal so there was a lot of celebrating and good advice shared by all.

Hope y'all are doing well and making the best choices you can. Hope to see y'all posting again soon. Until then......onward and downward!

The same thing happened to me at our house. My oldest had the flu 1 week then me and the youngest had it the next. I was on antibiotics and had to eat with them - and toast for breakfast wouldn't cut it - without something substantial in my stomach I was nauseous. So needless to say - way off the wagon! I go to my meeting on Saturday - and along with 2 or so bad weeks and PMS - I'm anticipating a few pounds gain. But that's okay - it will be another week - fresh start. I am not too far from goal - I was only 10 pounds a few weeks ago - so I'll get there! Slow & steady wins the race.

Just letting you know you are not the only one to fall off the wagon!

I have been going to weight watchers since the beginning of the year and have lost 52 pounds, but the past few weeks it has been fluctuating a couple of pounds up and down. I have honestly had a hard time since Halloween. Prior to that, I was doing great. I need some motivation! I lose one week and then gain it the next and back and forth. I have myself stressed that I am going to gain it back. I had set myself a goal of 90 pounds by my DCL trip in March and I really thought it was attainable, but lately it has been almost impossible to see that goal come through. I hope that I can have a small loss during December and then be recharged when the new year starts. Anyone else really struggling right now?

I've been a funk all week so I wasn't looking forward to weigh in today. But I'm down another 2.6 for a total of 30! Even though I was in a funk I worked the program and exercised as usual. I was just feeling deprived. I hate hearing about people eating pumpkin pie and ordering out and still losing weight. Yes, I'm losing but I haven't had one "cheat" food in 3 months. My son's birthday was this week and I guess I was feeling bad about not having cake with him. He didn't mind but I was feeling deprived. 30 lbs gone has helped me see the light! It's funny (and sad) because his birthday was Monday and the cake is still sitting in the dining room with only 5 slices out of it. 4 from his birthday and 1 from him the following day. If I wasn't on program I would have eaten that entire cake already.

Thanks to everyone for your support and letting me vent.

Hi everyone,
I spent a week in WDW and had a wonderful time. Didn't journal, but made some smart choices, and today was up only .4 at weighin. I wasn't sure what to expect, having had several mickey bars, frozen drinks, a wonderful dinner at liberty tree tavern, and a delicious buffet at the Crystal Palace. We definitely walked a lot, and I did carry my 55 pound son back to our room from the bus a few nights, so that definitely helped. I'm back on program today and planning to stay there.

Tiggerlover- congratulations on the great losses. You're an inspiration to us all through this happy holiday times.

Kathinowa- You're doing so great with the weight loss- 30 pounds in 3 months is awesome. Sounds like you could use a treat or reward for doing so well. It's hard not to have any treat foods. If you want to, with WW you can work them into your week, and not feel so deprived. The weight loss may not be so rapid, but it can help you stick to it for the long term. Hang in there. You are very strong to have cake in the house, and not eat any. I couldn't do it. (hence the slow weight loss).

Welcome to the newcomers. This is a very supportive and inspirational thread. Keeping in touch here will definitely help you to stay on program through the holidays.

I am so happy to see some familiar faces posting again, it was a quiet week here. And a great BIG WELCOME to our newcomers....the more the merrier!!!

KATHINOWA, 30# is AWESOME!!!! Congrats to you. I know it is hard when we stay on program and we follow the rules, there are times we do feel deprived. The one thing I learned though is to make time (and flex points) to scratch that itch or you will be setting yourself up for a binge. There has been so many treats at work lately that I decided I needed to choose what was important to me and to be accountable for my choices so this week I did enjoy a chocolate truffle (2 PTS) and a cookie (1-1/2 PT) and although the old me would devour as many as I could I realize I can't do that anymore and still lose weight. Just plan accordingly and you don't have to feel deprived. {{{HUGS}}}

Welcome back, mikamah, sounds like you had an awesome trip and only gained a few ounces, that is a testament to lots of exercise and good choices, congrats to you too! Now that you are back from your trip and back on program you will see those numbers going down once again.

knovak, I am not too far from goal either so I am glad to see that I am not the only one who struggles with the fluxuations. Fresh starts are always good, sometimes they help to jumpstart us.

I'mWong, congratulations on your loss to date, that is an impressive loss for a year. You figure if you average that over a year that is a pound a week and that is right where WW says you should be. The holidays are hard for everyone so you aren't alone. Coming to WISH sometimes gives me the strength and resolve to say no to some of the treats so I hope you will come visit us often to give and receive support that is so crucial to a successful weight loss journey.

Onward and downward everyone! We can do this!!!

Went to my meeting yesterday and I am happy to report that I got my key chain!! I lost 2.4 pounds this week. I was hoping to have another good weigh in this coming up week. But this weekend has taken a wrong turn. Went to my office cocktail party and helped myself to a few more cocktails than I should have. I didn't snack as much, but I did drink quite a bit. And I am paying for it today. Plus, I didn't work out today like I normally would have and I feel like I need to eat just to get off this hangover. UGH! I will have play it by the book all week if I want any hint of a loss.

Congrats Stacerita on making your 10%, that is awesome!!! Also on losing 2.4! I am hoping I get my 10% this week too, but I had my office Christmas party yesterday so I am not sure. I tried to make good choices, but I did have some wine and indulged a little, but I look at it like it is the holidays and if I can't enjoy just a little than it wouldn't be the holidays. Congratulations on your lose this week, MinnieNurse, that is fabulous! I am with you on maintainind throughout the holidays, our leader made us make a goal for the holidays and that is what I chose, any loss is just icing on the cake!

I am down 1.4 this week. I was thinking only gaining .4 after vacation could have been a fluke and thought I might see a bigger gain this week, so I'm psyched. I got the new books at WW yesterday and it feels like I'm starting over, and I'm hoping to follow the program to the T, like I have done when I first joined so many times in the past. The difference is that this time, when I lost my motivation, I didn't stop going to the meetings. I had a few months of not losing, but I didn't gain back all I have lost.

I didn't make it to WW last week to weigh in, so my 2 week loss was 6 pounds! Whoohoo! Off to a great start for December, here's hoping I can keep this off through the holidays (and dh's bday later this week!).

I have been really strict with myself this month, because I know as the month goes on, it's going to get much harder.

Total lost since joining WW January 9th, 2006: 67 pounds

I had an expected gain this week, 0.4, I am not complaining either. I had my office Christmas party on Saturday and I indulged, so I was not surprised to have gained a little. I went with a plan based on the menu I was given and what I planned to eat they ran out of and I didn't have a back up plan. So I winged it and I had two glasses of wine, but I did enjoy myself and it is only 0.4. The previous two weeks I lost over 6 pounds total, so I am not complaining. This is a tough time of year with all that is going on at home and at work and my goal was to stay the same weight as I was two weeks before Thanksgiving and I am below that so I am not going to beat myself up.

This is about life, not depriving oneself, just learning to live in a healthier way and I think I am getting it. So stay strong WISHers! Onward and downward indeed!!

Congratulations Chamonix!!!!!! Phenomenal loss for this time of year. 67 pounds in less than a year is awesome!!!

Tiggerlover- You have the best attitude. It definitely is about living healthier and not depriving oneself. It would be great for the weight to fall off faster, but I know it wouldn't stay off. Learning to live and eat in moderation is key.
Slow and steady wins the race. Enjoy the holidays. You're already below your holiday goal!!! Whoo hoo!!
