WW Weekly Weigh-in

I joined WW 4 weeks ago, and have lost 11 lbs so far. It always comes off quick at the start for me (except for Atkins...I gained weight on that one!), so I'm not too concerned about the speed of loss. I now exercise every day, and feel a lot better than I did last month. And I love the core plan for WW. I never feel the least bit hungry (although the peanut butter and chocolate cravings can be ferocious!). I have 90 more lbs to lose, so I have a long row to hoe here. I just have to remember that it took me a long time to gain this much, and to be patient and persistent when it starts to come off a lot slower than I like. Love the support I get here!

LOVE seeing successful new WWs here! Welcome :welcome: Onward and Downward!!! :cool1: After 2+ years, I can tell you, it's a journey AND a life change. ::yes:: Seriously, think about that. ;)

You CAN do it! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Thanks Tammy and DLM! Love getting an occasional :cheer2: myself! ;) :goodvibes

I was up .2 lbs last night. :guilty: I felt "skinnier" on Tuesday and thought I would have good news. :confused3

I just really wish that this exercising thing would catch up with me in the losing weight dept.! I did exercise 5 out of 7 days last week - the lightest days being a min. of 2 miles on the TM. Oh well, maybe it will show up for me on the scale next week.

down 1.8 lbs this week...bring my total to 8.2 lbs ! entering my fifth week so i am planning to stick with it!

Tina

Well today was weigh in! I knew things weren't going to be great since I started TOM on Tuesday. I gained .6  Well that means if I do good this week I am in for a loss next time. Hope you all did better!!!

What a great idea - anything to make me more accountable is good! I have been doing WW since November 30 and have lost 15 lbs. I have been traveling alot for the last two weeks and it has been tough. I also haven't weighed in in the last two weeks. I am going in Monday....hope it goes well.

If you counted your points, and you exercised, you should not worry about what the scale says from week to week. Take the long view and are you going down over time?

I am always faithful to my points and some weeks, for no explanation that I know of, my weight goes up. I just stay on program and then another week for not explanation, I'll go down over 2 pounds. Focus on the behavior and eventually the body will follow.

That's the thing - I have been fluctuating from 11 to 8 lbs. away from goal since last summer!!! I started exercising about 3-4 weeks ago, and still nothing. It's just frustrating. I have not been 100% OP since the summer (who honestly is?), but I should have been losing.

I am not giving up though! This 10 lbs. is going!
(that banana is me doing WATP, just imagine he is doing kick backs)

Can't believe I was actually down 1.2 lbs this week! I was only hoping to maintain this week, since I went out of town (and had an "accident" with a cheeseburger and some margaritas!!). Still, I did portion control and avoided desserts. Hooray!! :sunny:

Had my first weigh-in last night. Down 12 pounds my first week on WW! Yes, I know it won't be like that every week, nor should it be. But I sure am happy with the immediate results!

I've been hiding over on another WW board but wanted to come back and tell my fellow DIS-ers that I made Lifetime and now even work for WW! I rejoined last June (after keeping 20 lbs off for over 10 years) and it's taken me all this time to lose 14 lbs while doing 98% perfect program (because I'm petite and so close to goal and I only walk for exercise). I'm actually losing more now that I'm increasing my maintenance points, and I feel confident I'm going to get to a number that I can really live with.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!! No matter what you have to lose! Have a great on-program day and then get up and do it again tomorrow. When you slip up, shrug your shoulders and get back on program. It ABSOLUTELY works!

Now, did anyone ever figure out the points in a Mickey Bar?

UrsulasShadow - Great job on your weight loss!! Eleven pounds is great!! I love core, too!!

Kristi - Don't worry about the slight gain! I bet your measurements are way down, with all that exercising! Great job! For those last 10 pounds, have you thought about trying Core? A lot of people in my meeting have tried it for a few weeks to get off of a platea.

Misty - Woo hoo!! Great job!

di4chat2 Just another reason to hate TOM, isn't. I bet you'll see a loss next week - look at the big picture.

saturday97 - Congratulations!! See, it works -- it really works!

BamaBaloo - Holy cow!!! 12 pounds!!! That's amazying!!! Congratulations!!!

DVCTiff - Thaks for checking in and sharing your story! Congratulations on your lifetime!! Great job.

Hi

I have been lurking on this board for a while. CONGRATS to all the losers!!!!! I joined on line and still trying to find my way. Question to all - Do you find it easier to work with the FLEX or CORE program? Trying CORE and that is not going so well..........

Thanks for all the help
Have a Magical Disney Day

chrismiss56-I started Core 10 days ago and find that much easier for my lifestyle. Can't say I'll never do flex again, but I do feel much more free than before (not always rusing to journal, figuring out what to eat before I go out, etc., etc.) But, I'll see if the weight loss comes through. What type of difficulties are you having? PM me, if you want.

Down 2 more pounds this week - 6 total! This board is very encouraging!

Everyone keep up the good work and here's to another great week for us all! :goofy: :stitch:

Weighed in this morning, and I am down another 3.6. :cool1: I cannot believe it!!! I am down a total of 11.4 since Feb. 3rd....go me go me!! :thumbsup2

OOHHH OOOHHH and I get a new clippie!! :cool1:

I haven't been on much this week so I am apologizing up front for the long post. OK, here goes:

disnygrl30-Way to go on your journey and congrat’s on joining our thread. You will find great motivation and inspiration here. Don’t get discouraged by a small WI, remember that a loss is a loss. Your body is going to naturally fight you on your journey but you will win. :cool1:

tinker&belle-Glad that you joined us as well. You have lost with WW before (I did the same thing except) but am here to make this a permanent loss this time. Remember to keep your goals small so that you don’t get overwhelmed. :thumbsup2

saturday97-Some things you read says that it takes six weeks for something to become a habit and that is what we want to do is to make our new lifestyle a “habit”. You are doing great taking it in small steps and not trying to do it all at once then getting burned out. Keep up the great work. Congrat’s on your WI this week, isn’t it wonderful how sometimes our bodies surprise us at the most unexpected times? :sunny:

UrsulasShadow-Congrat’s on your loss so far, you are doing great. Glad that you aren’t concerned with the speed that you lose because we all know that it is much better to take it off slowly and to stay persistent. Slow and steady wins the race, that is something that I try really hard to remember.

Kristi1357-You are doing great on your exercise, just remember that since you are adding your exercise you will need to make sure you are eating enough. If you aren’t, your body may be thinking that it needs to be in starvation mode. Just something to think about. Also remember to take your measurement because you may be losing inches when you aren’t losing pounds. I know we all want to see that number move on the scale, but losing those inches is what will help our clothes fit much better. :cheer2:

Misty89-Great job on your loss to date, you are doing great. Keep up the great work and keep posting. :sunny:

di4chat2-Don’t get discouraged with that slight gain this week, I bet you will have lost that plus some by next WI. Make sure to drink lots of water to help flush out your system. That TOM is a killer for most of us. :grouphug:

dragonfly18-Glad you stopped by and make sure to check back in after you WI. Congrat’s on your loss thus far, you are doing wonderful. Traveling can be tough but I bet you can tell a difference in your habits if you compared them to prior to joining WW and to the way you handle things now. ;)

BamaBaloo-Way to go on your WI, it is motivating to see the scales move so well when we begin but I’m glad to hear that you aren’t expecting such a loss every week. You said the right thing that we shouldn’t loss like that every week. You are doing great. :woohoo:

DVCTiff-WAY TO GO on making lifetime!!! That is such an inspiration and shows us all that it can be done. Thanks for popping over and letting us know how things are going. :cool1: :cool1:

chrismiss56
-Glad that you are de-lurking and joining in with us. I have to be honest that I can’t compare the CORE and points as I have only done points. My lifestyle just seems to fit better with the concept of the points but everyone is different. My MIL just became a lifetime member and she followed the CORE plan. You will figure out what works best for you. If you attend meetings, it might be a good idea to have a quick talk with your leader as well.

knovak-Congrat’s you are doing great. Hey, where is your 5 pd clippie in your signature? Show it off with pride. :thumbsup2

disneyfanz04-Your new clippie looks great and good job on cheering yourself on, we all deserve to pat ourselves on the back. Keep up the great work!

Please know if I missed anyone it was not on purpose and I am sorry. We are a great group of WW's, keep up the great work and remember to stay OP and drink that water.

I was so encouraged by all of you that I started WW at Home this past week. I'm happy to say I lost three pounds and it was not bad at all. This board is fantastic! :cool1:

Congrat's on your first week on WW. You had a wonderful loss. Keep up the great work! :cool1:
