I didn't go last week because I had done so badly the week before but then instead of doing really well, I didn't keep track and I know I gained a couple of pounds. I am going tonight but I'm not sure if I should use my "Do Not Weigh" coupon. I hate to post a gain...but maybe I should and just get back on track. ???

mermaid- I would go ahead and weight yourself... It might not be as bad as you think and if it is, don't worry about it. Get back on the program and those pounds will be gone before you know it.

Thanks Teresa. You're right. I just need to get back on the bandwagon. It'll all be over (seeing that dreaded number) in 45 minutes when I weigh in. Thanks for the reply. :)

Let us know how it goes and don't worry about it. Saw this somewhere:

"One day at a time, no guilt & move on"

Weigh to go, all you LOSERS! :p I love saying that! ;)

I lost 1 pound this week! :Pinkbounc Total 66.5. It's been pretty slow the past few months but, better off than on! ::yes::

Have a great week everyone!! :sunny:

Here's some inspiration!! 14 weeks on WW and I'm down 47.8 pounds. I lost another 4.6 this week, which I thought would never happen again, that's more than I lost in week 2. I know it's going to slow down some day, but I'll take these results as long as I can. Don't think I must be running, jumping or anything else like that, I don't exercise! Right now I just have luck and determination. I decided when I joined that I would be down 50 pounds by my 36th trip to Disney World, which is December 4th, I dare say, I think I'm going to make it!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Great job Kim!!! My weight in is this morning, so we'll see how it goes.

HOLY CRAP CHERYL!!! :earseek: That's almost 3.5 pounds per week.... How do you do it???? I was happy with my 1.85 pounds per week and thought that was great for WW. Way to go!!!!! :bounce: Let us know what you are doing:chat:

Hello!

My WI was great-- down 3.8 lbs this week. My instructor is cautioning me to slow down the pace. I've lost 29.8 lbs in 8 weeks. I eat my target points everyday but I don't eat my activity points or my flex points. (and I earn A LOT of APs). I'm on a roll and I don't want to jeopardize my success. I feel like my weight lifting is preserving my lean body mass so I don't think that is a problem.

Cherly, does your instructor lecture you for losing too fast?

Sundie

No, I haven't had any lectures about losing too fast. In fact, I think my progress is what the "teacher" as I call her, is using as inspiration for the rest of the group. She knows I have set goals and she has never said that I have set them too high. I have quite a bit to still lose and I always heard the more you have to lose the faster it may go. But I never thought that this far into it I could still be having the good results I have, especially without exercise. My worst weigh in was a loss of 1.4 in week 10, and my best was 8 pounds for week 1. I do try to drink the water, I don't use the extra 35 points available, and think about every single thing I put in my mouth. I eat lots of grapes for my fruit, I think of them as my candy. I have an ice cream every night for my snack, like a Skinny Cow. I eat alot of WW or other brand meals for lunch, followed by a sugar free jello for dessert. We grill out alot, so every night I usually have chicken, steak or shrimp with a vegetable. Sometimes, I am kind of hungry, but not usually, and if I am I figure it's my own fault. If you have any other questions, just ask, not that by any means I am an expert, but something seems to be working!!

:earsgirl:

Well my weight in today wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it was still a loss of .2 for a total of 18.2 pounds. I'm a little disappointed, but it just makes me work harder for next week. I still need that 2 pounds for my first 10%.

Sundie - Great job! I get a lot of AP too and usually try and use them (my instructor says we should use them if we earn them) I'm going to try and not use them this week and see if that helps. I know I'm building muscle, so it slow down for me for a little while.

Cheryl - I'm surprised your teacher hasn't said anything. My instructor mentioned today they don't like more than a 2 pound weight loss because your more likely to gain it back. Your obviously doing something right. I stil can't believe you've lost that much and don't exercise. You must have a good metobolism :D How many points do you start with?

Well, I went last night and posted a gain of 2.6 pounds...yes, I was eating A LOT of candy for 2 weeks. But, I came home with a refreshed attitude and I bagged up all the candy (that wasn't my kids which is off limits to me anyways) for my husband to take to work. Last night's meeting was great because we talked about everyone's top ten tips to losing weight.

Thanks for the support! Next week I hope to lose those darn 2.6 pounds and put it behind me. I'm also going to try to not use all my flex points. I always use ALL of them and more. I'm looking forward to the week!!!

Great attitude Mermaid!!!!! I'm sure next week will be MUCH better for you now that the candy is gone :p

I donated my candy today to WW to get it out of my house :D

Teresa, maybe my metabolism is really good, I also take One-a-day, Weight Smart vitamins, they are also supposed to help your metabolism. (I take the Walgreens brand) And I really don't excercise, but I do spend more time walking around stores then I used to, I seem to enjoy it more! I started with a 28 point allowance, but I don't go near the maximum I'm allowed, and never go into the extra 35 points. I definately try to get the most food for the least points.

Ok, for some reason, that just doesn't read right! :p WWs taking candy donations???!!!! Sorry, that really tickled my funny bone this afternoon, and I needed that! :teeth:

Cheryl - That's awesome! I just started taking the One A Day too, so maybe that'll help me ;)

Kim - Glad that gave you a good laugh. My WW was taking donations of candy (to get it out of people's houses) and donating it to a local charity. My youngest daughter is having problems with gaining weight to quickly and I got her sell me her candy so she wouldn't be tempted.

Ok, I had a bad week. :( I weighed in tonight and got a big fat zero - didn't gain anything, didn't lose anything!

I follow my points, calculating & journaling like a crazy person all week, every week. The only thing I did differently this week was going out to one dinner with hubby for our anniversary. We went to a Japanese Steak house and I ordered the shrimp & veggies (lesser of the evils). I had water, when I really wanted a Mai Tai. I did eat the entire meal, however. We went to the movies afterwards and I brought my Jolly Time 2pt. popcorn and a diet coke. I know that this one "bad" meal that I had in 4 weeks was off plan, but I guess I didn't expect to not lose anything at all this week. :( And I was sick of Applebees and didn't want to eat there yet again!

I know some weeks you may not lose and it's not anything you did or didn't do. It just stinks is all! I think I am going to lose 2 daily points now instead of waiting until I drop to the next range in 1.2 lbs. - maybe that will give me the little boost I need for next week.

Kristi

Hey Kristi - I know exactly how you feel, so your not alone. I've done the same thing, losing 2 of my points hoping that will do something to my metabolism. I work out 5 days and almost always stay within my points and today I only lost .2 pounds. The one thing you have to remember, that everyone has been telling me is that I'm building muscle, so it might slow down or I might even gain from that and then the weight loss will come again. Does that makes sense?

I know it's frustrating, but hang in there, have a good week and you'll see a loss next week.

BOTH those ideas are really great! Good for you ALL! :sunny:

Kristi, you weren't Off Plan. Remember with WW, everything is ok. ;) I think you handled a night out of eating with flying colors!! ::yes:: And when that sometimes nasty scale doesn't cooperate, and reads -0, remember it's also saying +0! You didn't gain! :Pinkbounc You did great! ::yes::

Thanks guys! I am very thankful it wasn't a gain - just disappointed it wasn't a loss is all. There's always next week, right? And I don't have any special occassions this week, so I should be all set. ;) I really want to be down another 6.2 lbs. in the three weeks before we leave for Disney. I think I can still do it.

The japanese restaurant wasn't that bad, I know. But maybe having fried rice instead of white did me in a bit. And eating the soup and salad they serve with your meal...I doubt they are really healthy soups & salads. But heck - it was a celebration, right?

I do have to get my behind in gear and so some exercising too. It's just so hard working my weird 3:30-11:30am shift, not getting enough sleep EVER & chasing a one year old! I also average about 5 hours sleep per night, which I am pretty sure slows your metabolism also. I bought 2 of those Leslie Sansone DVDs that someone here mentioned. Now I have to find time to actually to exercise to them - and get more sleep!

Kristi,
I've read that sleep deprivation can really sabotage your diet. Try really hard to get your zzzzs!:D
