Yes ladies, men?, fellow WWs and DISers, this IS a lifetime change, not a fad diet. Trust me, I don't care what goal you reach, you HAVE to decide to make this a NEARLY everyday change. ;) It's NOT easy, but it CAN and HAS been done! I will do it again, too! I better!! ;)

WEIGH TO GOOOOOOO, Everyone!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cool1:

:grouphug:

Kim, you are absolutely right!

For those of you who have had gains this week {{{{{HUGS}}}}. Gains are always rough, but they always teach us something and kick us back into gear. Here's hoping that each and every one of you have a better week.

For those of you who lost this week, congrats! Weigh to go!

I have been so busy that I haven't had much time to post. I am still plugging away, making better choices and going to Curves 3-4 times a week. WI is Thursday and I am hoping to see a loss, but if not, all is good. One day at a time.......

Hi everyone! I had my WI this morning -1.4 ! Yeah! In six weeks I have lost 10.8 lbs. The leader of my meeting today was encouraging everyone to have a short term goal - mine is to lose 8 more lbs (which will be 10%) by the 4th of July. I hope I can do it!!!
Oh, I was wondering...does anyone else keep WW a secret from coworkers?? I am - I just don't want people asking me how it's going all the time. But I am anxiously waiting for someone to notice I have lost weight....no one has yet!! Then maybe I will spill the beans and tell them.
Anyway, have a great week everyone!!! :cool1:

Congrats on your loss to date, that is wonderful! Since Fourth of July is 6 weeks away I think you will succeed with your short term goal....good luck.

For me, I share with my co-workers about going to WW, for the most part they have been very encouraging. Now when there is a function there are a couple of co-workers who are mindful of my situation and they try to bring a WW treat or something healthy for me, which I really appreciate. It also helped in the beginning to be accountable the day after weigh in when folks would inquiry how I did.

As for people noticing, some times it takes a while for anyone to notice. One of the owners of our company stopped me yesterday and said, you have lost weight haven't you? When I told her almost 25 pounds since last August she was bowled over. Some times people are too busy or too self-involved to notice.

keep up the great work!

I keep it a secret. It's just something I'm comfortable talking about with everyone. I've lost 60 pounds and I won't tell anyone how much I've lost. When they ask I just say that it's enough for them to notice. Don't get me wrong I am thrilled and proud of myself, but at the same time it's hard admitting I had that much weight (and more) to lose. My MIL whom I see regularly recently said "Oh, are you dieting? You seem like you lost some weight." With my inlaws there is no personal space. The minute you say you're on a diet or on WW they watch everything you eat and it's all they can talk about. "How's your diet?" blah, blah, blah. My mom recently joined me at WW so now it's all we talk about too. Obviously she knows how much I've lost (because of the meetings) but otherwise I wouldn't have told her either.

OK I'm done venting.

Congratulations on your loss to date. I'm sure you'll reach your 4th of July goal.

Debbie, One MEAL at a time even, sometimes. ;) Good luck at WI!!! :thumbsup2 Congrats on Curves! :woohoo:

ITA. I had an entire Thread about this very subject a couple years back. It WAS kinda depressing at the time I lost the majority of my weight, that no one noticed but, when I came back to work after just a few months off, having lost only a few lbs more near the end, that FINALLY everyone noticed. Look, the people that see you everyday DO NOT notice the losses along the way, your closest friends and family might only notice because you tell them but, YOU KNOW you're losing, you KNOW your body is changing, so don't EVER let the LACK of attention be an issue. :thumbsup2 In the end, you WILL get the attention!!

Just last week, a couple from school told me they "needed to show me a picture" (of me) from when my DD was in Pre-K with their DD. I told them I KNEW the picture they were talking about but I THANKED them for noticing - 4 YEARS later! ;) HANG IN THERE!!! :thumbsup2

Don't get me wrong I am thrilled and proud of myself, but at the same time it's hard admitting I had that much weight (and more) to lose.
I don't consider that 'venting' Kath. I know exactly how you feel about 'numbers' as well! I have proudly told my weight loss numbers tho (NEVER my weight tho!) but I always add, after the CONGRATS, that "well, I HAD that much weight to lose". Kinda like the downer on myself for getting there :sad2: but, WE BOTH/ALL have to remember that what we're doing is sound, healthy eating/losing/maintaining. :thumbsup2 Take EVERY positive you can from everyday, every meal, every challenge and, MAKE IT YOURS! :goodvibes

Continued success everyone!!! :cheer2: :cool1: :yay:

Checking in a little late this week. I gained .2. That's the first "gain" I've had since starting so I was pretty bummed. I'll just keep plugging away :)

Sorry about your .2 gain. That is really not much. That happened to me a few weeks ago and my WW leader said "you really stayed about the same". Don't fret! Maybe next week will be a better week. I WI tonight and lost .2, so not much but at least it went down. Seems like the closer I get to my goal the slower the weight comes off. Less than 3 pounds to go!!!!

luckywife-Hang in there, and don't give up. .2 is usually just fluid and natural daily fluctuation, and if you stay on track it will be gone next week. Good luck.

Harvest02-Any loss is a good loss!! It definitely comes off slower the closer you are to goal, but it will come off. Keep up the great work.

Andrea_loves_Disney-Congratulation!!! You've made 10 pounds!!!:cool1: That's great and your fourth of july goal sounds very attainable. Most of the people I work with now know I do ww a few of the girls do it on their own too. We wear scrubs which hide a multitude of sins, and after losing 39 pounds, i finally went down a scrub size and then people started noticing. I work with a couple of close friends who noticed a while ago and have been very supportive along my journey which is nice. There is sometimes endless amounts of junk food around and can be very challengine so it's nice to have someone to vent with and stay on track with.

ucfsweetie82-Congratulations!!!!! Great loss!!

disneymac- Sorry about your gain, but you've got the winning attitude to lose it next week!! :cheer2:

fofinia-Thanks. We are loving the trailer bike- it's one of those half bikes that connects to the back of mine, making mine a tandem. I used to bike all the time before I had my son and it's so great to be back out there. I think you're kids are younger and those trailers are pretty cool too. I was thinking you're on the cape and if you are, aren't there some great bike paths there? I had been to martha's vineyard a few times with just my bike, and think I'm going to try to take him in september for a weekend. The whole island had bike paths if I recall.

I've been walking or biking every day this week, but have had the TOM munchies at night so I'm going shopping and need to get some WW ice cream bars for the weekend, and I'll make a big fruit salad today too. Today's the last day of my tracker, so I'll have a fresh 35 fps to help me stay on track for the weekend.

Have a great memorial day weekend everyone!!!:beach: Hope the weather is great everywhere!!

I was away last weekend so I never checked in. Not a great 2 weeks- last week I lost .5 and this week I didn't lose anything. I have to get myself focused again. I don't know if anyone has dealt with breasfeeding and WW, but if you have, I have a question for you. I currently get 10 extra points a day because I'm breastfeeding. DD will be a year in 2 weeks, so in about a week, I'm going to start weaning her. 10 points less a day is a lot. I'm guessing the best way is to slowly cut back the points- each week use a couple less a day until I'm back to the regular amount. Does that sound right or does anyone have any other sugggestions? Thanks!
Keep up the good work everyone!

Yes, I am on the Cape. And there are tons of bike paths. I want to go over to the islands. I haven't been in a few years. that is a great idea to do it by bike! I usually go down to the canal and walk the path there with the kids in the carriage. But my DD is 5 and is getting really heavy to push! I try to think of it as more resistance! LOL. I'm actually going to be speed walking a 5K this weekend in Hyannis. I'm nervous and excited, it's my first ever race. But it goes along the harbor and beaches. It should be really pretty.

Good luck with your weekend! I need to try the WW ice creams. Everyone always raves about them!

Hi! I never used the ten extra points because my DD was a little over one when I started WW this time. I think your idea to cut back on them slowly sounds good. Are you still losing now eating the extra 10? I know sometimes people have needed to eat a little more on WW just to lose (not breastfeeding people) And I've heard people say why drop down a point if you are still losing at your point level. I'm not saying you shouldn't drop the points. but if you drop them slowly you can see at what point you are still losing and at what point amount. Did that make any sense???

Do you attend meetings? You could ask your leader what WW recommends. But I think it you are right it would be hard to drop them cold turkey. heck, dropping one or two is hard!! Good luck!!

Thanks for your response! I don't go to meetings, I just do WW online. I decided to drop them slowly and see how it goes. I don't always use all of the extra weekly 35 points, so I have those too if I need them.

I know I am behind in my posting, but I have been so super busy. I think the nicer weather makes for a busier life. :)

luckywife, sorry about the gain, but as been said, .2 really is not much, itis only 2/10th of a pound, which could be water weight. And KJo719, .5 is a half pound, so that isn't shabby and although staying the same isn't a loss, it isn' a gain either.

As for me, I stayed the same this week and I finally made lifetime. My leader wasn't there and we had this terrible leader, she said we had to wait until my leader came back to celebrate (which was fine), but she didn't even mention it at the meeting, which made me sad. But luckily after I went out to dinner with some WW buddies and we celebrated, one of my buds gave me some flowers and a really cute Vera Wang insulated lunch sack to bring all of my healthy treats to work in style. So as silly as it sounds, I am not taking my goal clippie until I "official" get my key this week at WI.

Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend!

Onward and downward!

Congratulations Tiggerlover!!!!! You should be so proud!!!!!

Congrats tiggerlover!!!! That is so awesome. You are my hero and my inspiration!!! :cool1: :yay: I am so happy for you!!! I only hope that I will be posting the same message someday! Thanks also for all your encouraging posts! I really appreciate it - I need all the help I can get at this point!! :goodvibes

Hey everybody, haven't posted for a couple weeks now, but down 4 lbs since last post. Big congrats to Tiggerlover. You are really an encouragement to those of us trying to acheive what you have accomplished. Thank you!! To all of those out there like me who are struggling, Tiggerlover proved to us it can be done, don't give up, we can do it too!

Thanks to you all for your congratualtions and kind words. I am touched that you feel I have been an inspiration because there have been so many here who have inspired me.

This has been a long journey for me and the first time I was in denial and that is why I regained some of the weight. This time I feel like I have learned a tremendous amount of information and have discovered a lot about myself. I am hoping this time around is the last time for me, I feel I have changed my life to a new way of eating and living and this time I feel like I am in control. If I can do this anyone can do this!

Andrea_loves_Disney, stay true to yourself, if you really want this, you can do this! Over the years I was always trying to lose weight for others, when I finally realized I needed and wanted to do this for me, things changed. I think before I eat now and I plan and that is huge. You can do this!

embgrl, congrats on your 4 pound loss, that is awesome!

Onward and downward!
