WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Ater 53 weeks at WW, I made goal on Saturday. It was a great moment. This was my 4th time joining and I never came close to goal. My DH (also a WW) was there to celebrate with me, which was even sweeter. So, 6 weeks of maintenance and then I'm Lifetime. When I started last June, I committed to doing it once and for all, and I'm proud that I did it.

To everyone, whether you're a WW novice, Expert, or somewhere in between, the plan does work and it is a plan for life.

Happy journey everyone!

I know how FABULOUS this feels, having been there once! CONGRATS!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo:

Here's to your maintenance, which I found easier, in some ways, than losing! ;)

Glad to see positive reports. I did everything I was supposed to last week: used my points, exercised, kept track of all my food, drank my water, took my vitamin, etc. I GAINED 3.5 pounds. It isn't my time of the month, I didn't gain it in muscle, or any other reason. Can you tell I am frustrated??

Happy Friday!

Congrats to all the losers:banana:

I am up 2lbs this week:eek: I gained it over the weekend and wasn't able to get if off. Since they switched off the analog I have been taking a walk during lunch (since I can't watch I Love Lucy) so I thought I would actually have a good week. I still did my evening exercise, but I am thinking I didn't workout as hard as I normally do. I am starting aqua aerobics on Monday so hopefully next week will be better. Granted all my weeks would be better if I wouldn't blow it on the weekends. Today I am headed to Disneyland to celebrate my best friends birthday, so I need to not go crazy.

Have a great weekend!!

Hi to both of you! There are just times when nothing seems to work. The trick is: don't be frustrated!! Things will start moving again. I had a really bad time when I just seemed to stand still for ages about a month aga. But now I am significantly down from that weight and losing seems so effortless now!! :goodvibes

Unfortunately, that does not count as "running", LOL! I am mid-way through a thing called Couch to 5K and I am now running 5 minute intervals. I plan on running a 5K in August or September.

Running 5 min intervals is a great acchievement. I remember how difficult it was when I started running. I did run my second 5K in May and now signed up for a 10K for August. I already tried to run 10K as a practice in my local park and made in 1 hour 10 minutes. I think running really helps me lose weight!

I've been doing my posting on the DIS podcast cruise boards. There's a "shape up" thread there.

Over the last couple of weeks, I've managed to gain 2.4 lbs. and then last week, show a 2.8 lbs. loss. Tomorrow's my weigh in day, but as things stand, I'm still 41.6 lbs. down. We'll see how I do tomorrow. :rolleyes1

Hi BriarRosie, hope your weigh in went well!

Congratulations on making goal! Your story is a great motivation to keep going. I am doing WW for a second time and am determined to make goal and the keep the weight!!

And one more motivation to get to goal: I want to look great in my pictures when I go to WDW in January! :cool1: We just started to plan the trip and I am really excited and want to have nice pictures of the two of us from that trip!!! I hope to be very close to goal in January, but it is still quite a way for me...

I lost 2.4 pounds this week! I knew I shouldn't have gained, but I was surprised I lost that much. My husband's birthday and our anniversary were last week, but I didn't do too bad. I'm down 10 so far since joining on June 1.:cool1:

I weighed in this morning. I'm down 3.4 for the week. A total four week loss of 13.6 pounds. :cheer2:

:yay::yay: Great progress!

She said I could have stayed for the meeting, but she couldn't give me any materials or weigh me in. I purposefully arrived early so I decided not to stick around for the meeting to start for no real purpose (about 40 minutes).

That is really too bad. I am glad you are not giving it up.

Good afternoon everyone! I just rejoined WW last week. It's my 3rd or 4th attempt at it. I always "fall off the wagon" or worse yet cancel when I am going on vacation because I don't want to pay for WW while I'm gone. That's what happened last time. I canceled and I never rejoined.
I am doing the Monthly Pass with eTools. It's so much easier for me than keeping track on paper. Plus, there is a Mobile WW that I can access with my iPhone so there is no excuse not to journal no matter where I am.

I had the same problem, and weight went on and never fell off. It was rally frustrating, I wanted something to be wrong so that I could take a pill and make it better. No such luck. Turns out it was all me.

I also did the monthly pass, no reason to quit because it was already paid for so when I was a train wreck on vacation I was "forced" to go back to WW. It was paid for. I am glad that you joined, this time is the charm, keep posting, this thread is not only another level of support it is another level of accountability. Good luck!

HI, i have been reading some posts on here, i thought i would post and see how it goes....i JUST joined WW yesterday (newbie much?!)

Welcome!

It has HALTED my weight loss entirely, despite trying Jenny Craig for 8 weeks and now back with WW online. My body just DOES NOT want to cooperate! I hope we can BOTH overcome this 'period' of our lives! ;)

WW is the only weight loss program that has worked for me. after every one I gained the weight back and a little more. At 52 I thought that I was going to always be saddled with that weight and would feel lousy as well. No more!
Follow the program and you willlose and will feel so much better!

WI yesterday....down 0.9lbs. Not a big number but a number. I am so close to my 1st goal of being under 200lb by my Sept trip, maybe next week. I'm getting a pedicure when I reach this goal, and I need it with all this walking and biking I have been doing this past 6 weeks. Hoping everyone has a great week!

Start choosing your color..you are almost there!

I was late weighing in this week. Couldn't get by there Monday so I went yesterday. Down 2 lbs! :cheer2: :cheer2:

YAY!

I'd love to join this thread. I have been on WW since September and lost 20 pounds. I'm hoping to lose 30 more. Weigh-in was yesterday and I lost almost 1 pound. I'll take it. It wasn't a great week, so I was just happy not to have gained anything.

What a wonderful accomplishment! Good job!

Well, I went on line this morning to add last night's dinner to my tracker and discovered I was short about 5 points!!! This is what happens when you have a large, mostly veggie dinner. Had I tracked last night I could have then sampled the crab salad I made...on a one point muffin and gotten in some good eats...I was a little hungry when I went to bed. :rolleyes1

Try to use all of your points. It can backfire if you do not in the short term, in the long term you may feel deprived. Better to enjoy every point and avoid feelinglike you are dieting.

I weighed in a day early, as I'm doing Relay for life tonight/tomorrow.

I'm down 5 pounds!! :cool1::cool1:

Excellent!

Happy Friday!

Congrats to all the losers:banana:

Looking forward to earing your progress! Keep looking at the direction you are going "down" :cheer2:

Are you tracking your food? I wonder if there are processed foods in your diet that are hiding sodium. Don't give up, try tracking everything and check if there is a pattern in gains and losses. I don't understand food chemistry but I have had the same ups and downs that you are experiencing.

Ater 53 weeks at WW, I made goal on Saturday. It was a great moment.

Congratulations on your success!

That's great. 10 pounds is already quite an acchievement!! :cool1:

I weighed in this morning and I am down 0.4 pounds. That's a bit dissapointing since I was down a lot on Saturday but somehow regained it again. I actually think it is due to the time of the month, but still it would have been nice to still have the weight I had on Saturday!! :confused3 Next week will be better!!

On a better note: went shopping yesterday and I am officially down one size!!

I love seeing these success stories! :grouphug:

I forgot to report in on Monday (4 day weekend for me...I keep forgetting what day it is).

I was down 2 more and made my first WW 5% goal. I'm one pound away from my WISH 15 pound clippie! :woohoo:

Had a lovely dinner at Ruby Tuesday's last night...talapia and shrimp. Just had them put the cream sauce on the side (did the fork tine dipping for dressing procedure).

.

Ibouncetoo, congratulations on the the 5% goal!!! And I am sure you will make the 15 pound clippie soon! :goodvibes

Okay, NOW I am finally signed up for WW, after last week's debacle when they couldn't sign up my fast pass there. I'm sitting here with a diet soda beside me as I type. (If you knew me, you would know this is a MAJOR life change for me! :rotfl:) I have a goal weight, a 5% target -- all of that laid out now. I'm ready to lose!??!

Two foods that were suggeted today as tasting good are:
Mr. Krispies Baked Rice Krisps and Hawaiian Punch Sugar-Free Lemon Berry water flavoring

Hi I joined WW at the beginning of the month and was not really focused however over the last week or so I have been working out for about an hour and sticking to my points. I weighed in today and am down 2.4 lbs.

I weighed in today for the 5th week. I lost 1.8 pounds for a total of 15.2 pounds lost!:woohoo: I still have 35 more to go but I'm feeling good so far.

Here's to your maintenance, which I found easier, in some ways, than losing! ;)

It's scary and liberating at the same time. I get 4 more points a day on maintenance, which seemed like a LOT at first, but I've been over every single day, and dipping into my 35. I am AFRAID to gain weight since it took me so long to take it off. I'm hoping that fear will last a lifetime. I think WW is like AA- you have to continue to attend the meetings forever since I don't think you get "cured" from overeating, the same way you are never cured from alcohol.

Thanks to all for your kind words. I hope that everyone will find success in their weight loss journey. Keep up the good work!

weighed in today. up 1 lb!! Oh, well time to look at my daily journals and figure out where I went wrong and push a bit harder next week to get where I want to be!

Hi everyone, I just found this thread, and it makes me very happy! :goodvibes

I joined WW online 6 weeks ago with a friend in another state and we're keeping each other honest. I did the full meeting version a few years ago and it worked well for me, the problem was cost, and most importantly, motivation. Tina and I both have big trips planned for the fall (9 days at WDW for me!) so that's my goal time frame. My 10% goal is 23 lbs, so anyone who can do the math can see I have a ways to go before ever reaching maintenance. But I know I'll make it one day. :worship:

So far I'm down 8 lbs with more to come. This is the first week where I haven't had that hungry monster lurking over my shoulder the whole time. In fact, I still have 4 pts left I have to eat tonight, so I think I see a treat coming!

Good luck to us all!

Your clothes tell the real story. I was able to "see" my loss the first time I let myself shop.

I am a harper about the scale. Try to stay off of it from WI to WI. Your body weight can fluctuate from day to day. What you eat, the humidity, TOM, stress and the time you WI all change your daily weight. It can be so disappointing to see a loss on Saturday and then on Monday you are not at that weight. Worse, a gain on Saturday can lead to a binge on Sunday when all along your body was only hanging on the the soy sauce in your chicken teriyaki.

I am with you on the meetings. I missed yesterday becasue DD was in surgery but I will not miss the next! Keep on posting to keep the rest of us motivated!

weighed in today. up 1 lb!! Oh, well time to look at my daily journals and figure out where I went wrong and push a bit harder next week to get where I want to be!

Don't get discouraged. My leader told us that there really is no such thing as all losses every week. Reality gets in the way of the lovely vision of losing it as fast as it found you :lmao:

Heather- the long term goal is not important. Focus on your short term goals, they are attainable and you will feel amazing each time you reach one. That 10% goal is the one that your entire body feels so good! Healthwise it is very important so just look at that one, you are well on your way!

ladies, a little OT but I want to share my DD's surgery with you. Marisa and I, along with my DDIL go to WW together and we all are in this togehter.

Marisa is like Heather, she has a way to go before making that weight goal but at 50 pounds she is well on her way. She was taking some pretty strenuous classes at the gym adn was getting so much stronger and really well toned. SHe tore up hr knee pretty badly though and yester she had it repaired. But not completely. The Dr called me and let me have it. He insists that Marisa step up her weight loss even faster than she has been going but now can never do impact exercize again.

He said that women increase their chances for a total knee replacement by a significant % with every 20 pounds over their normal weight. He then emphasized how many times over that was for my DD.:sad1::sad1: AS a parent I am feeling the responsibility for my part in her health habits, they are on my shoulders.

Please, all of you. Do not give up this path that we are all on in WW. Marisa is 32 and if she does not really continue to lose the Dr told me her knee will be replaced in under 6 years. If she is lucky. We are worth the time, the energy and the expense and trhe inconvenience to our skinnier family members. Incidentally, in one more unfair Mother Natue mocve.....men do not suffer the same consequences of being over weight.
