WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I'd had one of those pre-made Jello pudding cups and I don't know if they have enough 'real' dairy in that list of scary ingrediants to count. I will definately be making my own (better $ value also).

.

Hi everyone I'm just back from my first official weigh in (well since I joined last week). I'm down 4.8lbs!:banana::banana::banana: I'm very excited and I hope I can keep it up. Hope you all are having a fantastic week! :cheer2:

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!

I am at my goal :yay::yay::yay: I joined WW April 21st, 2008 and last night, April 20th I hit goal. Now, becasue I have shared my setbacks and challenges with you, you all know I took the scenic route to goal but thanks to all of you I made it and am 30 pounds down! Now I just need to maintain and keep walking. Thank you all for your support and encouragement, I appreciate this more than I can ever say! :worship:

Wow! Congratulations on achieving your goal weight!:banana:

Congratulations!!

Congratulations Nancyg56 on meeting your goal!!! I followed WW a couple of years ago and counted points, I liked that at least I could save points if we were going out to eat. I had all the books and calculator but we had a house fire and they happened to be in the kitchen which was hardest hit, so I don't have them anymore. I want to learn about the program and how to calculate the points, I can remember you had to know the calories fat and carbs (?) I remember thinking it was pretty easy. Is this the same way they do it now? Thanks for the tip about going to WW board!!

Well I offically rejoined WW after being on and off it for a few years. I am a lifetime member who has gained every bit back and then some...I am a repeat offender!! UGH!!

Last week was my first week back and WI this week wasn't so hot. I lost .4 but at least it is a loss!! I am not giving up cause this time I am NOT, NOT, NOT going to gain it back.

I need tips for snacking...I work from home and the kitchen is right next to my work space.

Here's to losing more next week!!

You count fat, calories and fibers. You may only count up to 4 fibers per food item.

Welcome back to WW! My sister is a lifetime member as well. WE also have one other gal who is lifetime and she is back with us again. Both found that they need to go to meetings or at least WI to keep it off. Perhaps outside support will help you too.

The snacking thing was my downfall as well. I am home and tend to nibble whatever I could when I was bored, tired, stressed, happy, .....

I keep a pitcher of water handy and try to have some when I want to snack. FF popcorn is a good thing to have becasue it lasts a long time and you can have a lot of it. SF jello is good too. I keep some in dishes already for me to eat so I can just pickone out of the fridge. I top it with some Cool Whip Free.

When I am looking for chocolate I have SF FF pudding or a vitatop.

sjams- I just thought of a few more snacks that I use. I keep fruit handy and will eat oranges or mini carrots.

Happy Friday!

I was up .8 this week. I gained 3lbs over my 4 day birthday weekend, so I am happy I lost most of it by weeks end. I have one more birthday dinner this weekend with my brother and his family, but I am determined not to go crazy like I did last weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day:banana:

how awesome! that must make you feel soooo good! :thumbsup2

i haven't been keeping up with ww for the last few weeks, since i've been sooooo busy. i'm in grad school and i have this huge project due in a week that i've been so nervous about, because it basically says whether or not i get to stay in the program! aaaaahhhh! i think i've gained somewhere around 3-4 lbs back these 2 weeks.

anyway, last night i got so mad at myself because i haven't been keeping up with ww and i've been nervous eating and my boyfriend's parents asked me if i wanted to go out to dinner with them at friendly's. i'm so weak and said yes and ate half of a sandwich, some fries and an ice cream! i had already eaten sooo much that day and that was just disgusting of me to want to eat that extra food as well! anyway, i decided that i'm going to be much better starting today. no slacking. i'm thinking of wearing a rubberband on my wrist that when i think of eating (outside of meal time and healthy snacks, of course!) i'm going to snap it and force myself to drink water instead. i just have a really hard time saying NO to overeating and oversnacking. i'm thinking this is a good way to train myself to eat only when i should be eating? i honestly can't think of any other way to stop myself. it's like i get it into my brain that i'm hungry or i need to eat, but i'm not really hungry, i'm just bored and want to eat something to keep me occupied. i figure if i train myself to drink water instead at least i'm keeping myself occupied.

First, I hope that the project went well :thumbsup2 and that you get to stay in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nervous eating is my nemesis. Actually eating is my problem, I like food and have little willpower. That said, I want to share what works for me. Not all the time mind you, it took me a year to reach a 30 pound goal, but this is the best I have ever done. I followed Core, now Simply Filling. It is the old CORE plan but is seldom talked about in a WW meeting. Once you learn your body signals and you learn to listen to them you can feel satisfied a lot. Because most sugars and white flours are counted your body can detox and teh cravings that kick the nervouse munching disappear. If you want to think ablut it let me know and I will help you get started.

I'm glad I found this thread! I actually was doing a search to see if there's nutrition info out there anywhere for any of the Disney restaurants and came across this. I got sidetracked and haven't even looked any further for nutrition info. We are going back to WDW in June and are doing the Dining Plan for the first time. We already have reservations and I thought that if I was able to find nutrition info, it might help me out a little more! I know ~ Disney Dining Plan and WW probably don't go well together! :scared1:

I've been doing WW for just over 2 years and have lost 42.6lbs! I have about 17lbs more to go! I do get discouraged at times when I see a gain or just have a bad week/day, but then I just try to tell myself that I'm 42.6lbs better off than I was 2 years ago! :yay:

Can't wait to read all the past posts here to see what kinda new stuff I find! I'm always looking for new ideas & recipes to try!

Have a happy Friday!:dance3:

My first week is going well, and I SURVIVED a happy hour last night. Boy, having plates of BAR FOOD in front of you is TOUGH! I took a small sample of a couple of things then moved the plates as far from me as I could get them.

First, I hope that the project went well :thumbsup2 and that you get to stay in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks so much nancy! i appreciate the well wishes! :flower3:

i hear you on the eating in general! i always feel like i just need to eat something because i like the taste of food. i think that sometimes i just need to have something in my hands to distract me from going to the kitchen and picking on food. it also doesn't help that when i was working a 9-6 pm job i had no time to go grocery shopping and now that i work whatever hours i want i can go out and get junk at the grocery store! we have stockpiles of food in our cabinets because i just go and buy healthy stuff and we never eat it! i'm not sure how the core program works, so i'm not sure if it would be better than the regular points? i think i'd try anything now though! actually, my first time on weight watchers i did atkins for a week to kick start my weight loss and make me eat smaller portions (because you can hardly eat anything on that diet!). i then started weight watchers and was already eating less and was feeling satisfied on less food. my weight started slowly creeping back on because my friends in college always asked me why i never ate anything (i would eat half a sandwich and a salad) so i would start going out with them and eating more. i gained some of the weight back within 6 months.

i started the jillian michael's 30 day shred tonight and boy did that ever kick my butt! i am so tired and shaky now because i never realized that i have absolutely NO upper body strength!

Hello all, welcome to our new posters. It is a beautiful weekend here in NYC. Next weeking is the first of two 5K's I am going to be walking. I never would have pictured me signing up for one no less two of these.

Nancy, I hear you about the filling foods, last night I was truly hungry. Had been that way for almost all day. I chose to eat more chicken then I normally would and counted the extra points from my weekly alotment (trust me getting 18 a day, you do hit those weekly's to stay satisfied.) It made a big difference, I slept better, and although I did eat my cup of oatmeal for breakfast this morning am still very satisfied and not looking for lunch. The filling food did me more good then 4 pts of junk food that I know I was heading for if I was not satisfied.

The whole WW journy is one of hillls, valleys, and coasting along. It has truly been a great ride and I am looking forward to getting the last 2 1/2 lbs off and moving to maintenance. I am ready to start on a new and different road on this journey. Those of you just starting it is not easy but the results are so worth it. Today, the first beautiful day we've had here in a long, long time I was out without the bulky winter coats, hats and sweats. My neighbor did not recongize me. What a great non scale victory that was. I don't always have time to post here daily but I do read and take such strength from all of you on this journey. You may not think that what you posts makes a difference but trust me it does.

Have a great on program day all. Make good choices and don't beat yourself up if "hungry" talks louder the your WW leader... tell him he may have won the moment but you will win the journey.

Good morning everyone.

I am back from wdw, had a wonderful time, and think I ate fairly well while there and I only had 4 mickey bars, but they were good. I actually lost one pound when I came back and weighed in on tuesday morning. Because I was sharing a room with my friend and her daughter, I didn't do any late night snacking which is definitely my downfall at home. I know that 1 pound loss, is probably not true, and I said to myself on tuesday morning that I really need to get back on track and stay there this week to make it a true loss, but then proceeded to eat a whole bag of Pecan Sandies cookies over the last 2 days, and a handful of chocolate eggs at my sisters house, and didn't write a thing down. I am here now to commit to myself again, and will write everything down that I eat now. The weather is great today, though I'm off to work, but after work I'll get outside and play with my son or take a bike ride. Before vacation, I'd been doing the watp videos 6 mornings/week, and I did one yesterday, but today, I didn't get up and do it. Just couldn't get motivated. So today is a new day and a new beginning for me. I'm refreshed from vacation, and ready to start again!!

Congratulations to all who are losing here!! You are doing great, and are an inspiration to me.

To those of us struggling, hang in there. It's is so hard, but we can do it. It is a lifestyle change, and there will be ups and downs, but by not giving up we will reach our goals and make healthy changes that will last forever.

Thanks Tiggerlover for starting this thread up. It has been a long time for the other thread. I first came here in may of 06. When I started here I had lost 17 pounds with ww, and have slowly lost another 24. It may seem painfully slow to some of you, but for me, it is a lifestyle change, and though I may gain and lose 5 or so pounds, I know that weight is gone forever. I won't ever let myself give up and put it all back on like I have done so many times in the past.

Have a great day.

I'm 69m and looking at 70 in August. A lot harder to lose at this age, and my job (receptionist at a law firm) is pretty sedentary. I've tried to do the w.w. tapes a few times a week and walk 1/2 hr at lunch. Still a slow go. In 7 weeks, I'm down 7 lbs, so I guess that's right on track. Wish me luck as my 70th should see a new better in shape me!! So glad I found this on my favorite spot in the world!!

When I signed up for WW online, I weighed myself last Sunday, but didn't actually start the program till Monday. I plan on Monday morning being my official weigh-in, but couldn't resist a peek at the scale this morning. Things are progressing nicely. :thumbsup2 Official report tomorrow!

.

Just joined WW online Wed, hoping to lose 30lbs by Sept/Oct trip, and be below 200lbs!!! Took a little peek on the scale today..looks promising!! I was hoping to post hear to make myself a little accountable since I am doing the online version this time. Thanks for the tread!!

Well, I just cleaned a mess of strawberries to have with some angel food cake, grilled some skinny, boneless pork chops and made some broccoli 'slaw'. Now I get to go eat some of it! :thumbsup2

I find my medication that I take on Sunday mornings tends to dull my appetite...a good thing for the day before weigh in I guess, as I'm not likely to over indulge.

You are doing great! In order to live this plan you need to remember that life happens and that you will have ups and downs. If you were not on WW, would you notice those weeks when the scale moves in the wrong direction? 42 pounds is a tremendous accomplishment! Keeping mindful that you are way ahead of where you were and that you want to stay healthy is another victory :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My first week is going well, and I SURVIVED a happy hour last night.

You are one strong Gal! Good job :woohoo:

Ditch them, they are not looking out for you and your best interests. They are food pushers. You know what you want to eat to attain your healthy goal, insist that they support you. If not decline to eat with them and tell them that this is the hill that you are willing to die on because your health is more important to you and your family then making them feel better when they are eating.

WOW! Your whole post bears repeating :worship::worship: Your insight is so motivating. Best of luck as your path changes to maintaining your healthy weight. I am joining you on this road and am a little afraid, it is so easy to give myself permission to overindulge now.

Have fun walking!
