WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

One thing that I've been "hooked" on lately is 1/4 c. Egg Beaters (whatever flavor I happen to have) on an Arnold Select Sandwich Thin. I works out to be 2 points and is very filling & good! Works great for me! I absolutely LOVE these sandwich thins! You can toast them, eat them plain, whatever you want! I make my Egg Beaters in the microwave and toast the sandwich thin. Sometimes I add a little FF mayo, ketchup or a slice of WW cheese and adjust the points.

I agree with you on the thins. There are my go to staple. I am going to bring my egg whites in tomorrw and make this for breakfast. I'm down to 18 pts a day now (before AP and weekly's) and I need to make every one count.

Just thought of something else I've had for breakfast that I saw on Oprah one day that was VERY filling! Make oatmeal, but instead of using water, use apple juice. Very yummy!!!:goodvibes It reminded me of apple crisp. I haven't had it for a while, but I think the points worked out to be 4 or 5, but like I said, it was very, very filling for me!

oh my gosh! that sounds incredible! I"m on it tomorrow, thanks for the idea! What an informative board this is. Makes me think I can actually do it this time!!

Nancy ~ way to go on making goal!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

mikamah ~ you are most definitely not alone in your struggles  You have it in you to do this!

someone asked about breakfast foods....one of my favorites for a lower point and very filling breakfast is oatmeal. I use 1/2 cup of regular quick cooking oats, add 1 cup of water. I dice up a granny smith apple and add some cinnamon to it. Cook in the micro for 2 minutes. I usually add 1 tsp of oil to it as well, to get in some healthy fats. It holds me for hours and is only 4 points! I like that for the 4 points used, I already got in one fruit and one oil from the good health guidelines for the day.

Happy Friday:banana:

I am down 1.7lbs this week. I was a bit worried because I got out of my routine this week. My niece had a birthday party Tuesday and I had a work party on Wednesday so I didn't exercise those two days and I ate a bit more than usual. So I am very happy:woohoo: I made a goal of buying the first season of NCIS when I hit my next 5lb mark (my brother got me hooked on the show a couple of months ago) I have .3lbs to go. Hopefully next weekend I will be watching my DVD:cheer2:

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!

I have to tell you I bought the liquid egg whites to work today, mixed them with some FF cheese and salsa and everyone raved at my lunch while they all ate junk food. I told them anyone can buy a salad, it takes smarts to make a low point fresh HOT lunch in an office.

Hi All.....I officially started WW yesterday for the first time ever in my life. I have a question about veggies. I'm doing the online program and when I type in spinach it says zero points for one cup. Does that change for 2 cups? It doesn't say. What is the one cup/two cup rule for veggies? For some reason I'm thinking that green leafy is ok to have 2 cups but all others should be kept to 1 cup max. But I really have no idea. Thanks for all your help. I love that DISers can come together in so many ways. This is a great thread!:cutie:

Ella welcome!

Veggies are free (well as long as they are not strachy (like a potato). You can pretty much eat as much as you want. I eat at least 10 cups a day. For tonight, I have a bunch of fresh asparagus and string beans. I am going to grill them in the oven till they are crispy (takes about 1 1/2 hours with my 40 year old oven). I put a touch of pam spray on them before I put them in the oven. I think nothing of have 5 or 6 cups of salad for lunch (with one or two ozs of protein) and a milk (WW yogurt) and fruit for lunch.

I do both the meetings and online. I encourage you to find a group or two online to join in with and post. Like the DIS there are some very supportive people on that site also.

Hey Deb!

Yep, veggies are you friend. :thumbsup2

At dinner time I try and have a couple of different veggies as opposed to a large serving of just one. The variety keeps me from getting bored and having a bit of the 'starchy' veggies (corn, carrots) mixed in is very satisfying...and pretty on the plate :lmao:

Hi Mary Anne....thanks so much for answering my question. It sounds like you have a yummy meal planned for tonight. I love veggies so that's good. I bought some steamers for the microwave. I spray on some "I can't believe it's not butter" and put lemon on all my green veggies.

I like the DIS people the best. This is a great thread and my "home" thread is the WB PC cruise May 08....we're all still chatting and many of us are on WW...one even leads meetings and has been a huge help to me. He's vacationing at the mouse's house right now and I didn't want to distrub him so I came here to ask today and you have been so very helpful. Thanks!

Hi Jacks....speaking of my May 08 cruise....Jackie is one of my family from that cruise and told all of us about this thread. Thanks Jackie.

I'm so glad I can eat lots of veggies. That's a great idea Jackie. I never thought of adding two different kinds of veggies....ie starchy and non. It's a good tip!:cutie:

I have been using my old materials, and weighing in on Monday nights at a different weigh-in group (TOPS), but I decided that has not been working for me. So, I now weigh in on Friday mornings, and I have joined weight watchers online--love the points tracker, etc.

As of my Friday weigh-in, I am down 2 pounds from my Monday weigh-in, so I'm pretty happy with that!

When I did my points on line, it came up with 3 points less than I had been eating following my old program. I know it isn't the weight difference--must be something in my activity level. Anyway, so far so good!

Everyone have a great and OP weekend!

If you type in the amount you want to eat the online tracker will tell you if it is 0 point, I find that I can eat only 1 cup of carrots for 0 points, anything after that it is 1point. Just keep adding cups to the tracker until you find out what the max amount is before you have to count a point. I love the online ww, much easier for me to track my points...I just started 1 1/2 weeks ago. Good Luck:thumbsup2!

i forgot to post that i didn't lose or gain any weight this week. i got hurt doing an exercise video so i haven't been able to exercise, which stinks! i've also been so busy with school and i haven't had time to really pay attention to food, but i really haven't been eating much because i've been so nervous.

keep up all the good work ladies! it sounds like a lot of you had a great week! :cheer2:

Congratulations to all who are posting losses. I see some great numbers, and you are inspiring to me. Thanks for the breakfast ideas too.

Nancy and cepmom- thanks so much for the support and kind words. I know I can do this. I have done it before, and I so want to do it again. With summer coming, and only having one pair of capris that fits right now, and several that will fit in 10 pounds, I am really motivated again. I had a good week and lost 3.2 pounds yesterday. I have been hovering around the 200 mark again, and that brings me to 199.8, so this time I will not go back over.

Have a great day all.

Kathy, welcome to ONEderland! :cool1: I can't wait for the day (still a good way off) when that scale gets below 200 pounds and I join you there. Good job!

Thanks Jackie. I'm really pushing to stay here this time. Keep on trucking, you'll get there too.

congrats!!! And I love your non-food treat to your self! I worked a meeting a few weeks ago and the leader made it a point to say the same thing...instead of treating yourself with food when you reach a goal, treat your self to something like a great new pair of sneakers (she bought herself Nike Shox) or some other non-food thing. Good luck this week!

Welcome!!! I asked my leader the same thing about veggies...if I have more than one serving does it count as points and her answer was, yes it technically does. But if I want to eat a double serving of broccoli then go right ahead and don't worry about counting it. Her theory is "broccoli didn't get you here"

congrats on the 2 pounds! You're off to a great start! Have a great week!

maintaining is okay too....especially if you haven't been able to focus on exercising. Hope you are feeling better soon!

:woohoo:awesome! Keep doing what you're doing and you will get there....remember what you want most, instead of what you want at the moment. Have a great week :goodvibes

Ladies breaking that 200 lb mark is ONE-derful. I always say 200 on the way up is fat, frumpy and out of control--200 on the way down is skinny, on target and totally in command. I hope I never see that 200 number myself again!

Hi NC, when I signed up online they gave me a trial week for free. I used it to get my feet wet and plan a shopping trip. I did weigh in but I didn't track. I had all the food in the house so I ate it plus the nonWW food that was leftover from prior to starting. I got 34 daily points with 35 weekly. When May 1st came and I officially started the program, I weighed in 3 lbs less and I lost one daily point.

I have a Friday weigh in and I love it. A friend from my May 08 cruise uses the Friday weigh in and said it's great because you weigh in, you use your weekly points during the weekend and then stick to daily points Monday thru Thursday until weigh in again on Friday morning. It sounded good to me so I'm following her pattern.

I love the online Tracker too. It makes life so easy.

Congrats on losing 2 lbs from Monday to Friday. That's awesome.:yay::yay::yay:
