WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I had been eating one or two packages a day, so I decided I needed to stop, so as of yesterday I am 3 weeks lorna doone free. I'm definitely an addict. I bring a healthy snack for the afternoon now, or make a cup of tea.

I am down .6 this week, and after 4 weeks on core down 4.8 total. I'm very happy with that. I've been doing pretty well staying on core, and for me I decided to take 5 flex points a day, thinking that would be easier to keep track of, but a few days I did have more than 5 this week. Like last night, I had about 8 points of kraft macaroni and cheese that I had made for my son. I had already eaten, but just couldn't stop myself. I threw the rest away before I ate it all.

A friend called last night and gave me tickets to the red sox game tonight, and I am so excited. It will be my son's first game, and he's playing little league now and he is thrilled. My weight today is 184.6, which I hit for a week a few months back, and other than that it's the lowest I"ve been for at least 7-8 years. I want so bad to get down to the 170s, and I think sticking with core for a while will help me get there.

First let me say WOO HOO HOO HOO!!!! Almost 5 pounds in four weeks is great. You see, I wasn't kidding about this Core thing! And yippee for you for forgoing those Lorna Dones, that is a hard thing to do, but you are succeeding. Isn't it wonderful reaching our lowest weight in a while....it is empowering and helps you to keep losing.

I hope it doesn't spoil our great friendship, but I have to admit...........I am a New York Yankees fan. :) I do hope you and DS enjoy the game, there is nothing like it. We've taken DS to a couple of games and he loves it too. We had been trying to get Yankees tickets this year before they close the stadium, but for the time frame we will be home in NY we weren't able to so we are hoping to catch them in Baltimore.

Keep up the great work, kathy, I am so, so, so proud of you!!!

bucci, that definitely is a good excuse to go shopping!! Weigh to go!!

Mary Anne, it sounds like you have a lot of office meetings that have food, isn't it nice to be in charge and make healthier selections! The funny thing is a lot of times when I do the planning and I include veggie and fruit platters those are some of the first foods to get eaten.

:cheer2: Great Job tiggerlover!:cheer2: You are doing great! Keep up the great work.
Last night, I started to cry....I found this one size fits all wraps that my mom brought me back from Hawaii three years ago. I put it away, because I could wrap it, but not tie it. Seriously, my waist was as big as this thing. Well, last night I pulled it out, and I can tie it up!!! I held the thing around my waist, and realized how many inches I have truly lost. I can't believe I walked around with all that weight on me!! I can't wait to wear it to the beach!!:)

BUCCI818 - Isn't that the most wonderful realization! Good for you.

Mary Anne, it sounds like you have a lot of office meetings that have food,

It is unreal the amount of food we have just available in the office. Yes great that they treat us so well but so hard if you're trying. On the bright side the office manager is having a baby and will be out for 3 months. As HR Manager I will have more of a say in what is brought in. Somehow I think healthier choices will somehow make its way into the pantry.

I'm a little bummed out right now as I was just in my grocery store and they are all out of WW breads and english muffins :faint: I was counting on them to help me with my points this week. I did see a bread truck in front so I'm hoping that the WW items were in it. I'll be going up again shortly so I've got my fingers crossed

Isn't that the best feeling in the whole wide world? A lot of times when we are losing we do not realize just how much weight we are losing from our bodies. I mean we are all well aware of the numbers, but the visual concept isn't always there.

Thanks for the support too!

Thank you so much for the continued support! I am actually 5 pounds under goal weight, so I don't imagine I will be trying to lose much more, just living at this weight will be find for me. :)

:thumbsup2 I am sure those healthier choices will take front and center with you in charge.

Can you go to another grocery store or is it harder in NYC? Here we have a ton of stores within five minutes, so if I can't find it in one I usually find it in another. The only exception is fat free mozzarella cheese, the only store I can find it is in Super Wal-Mart and they have been out the last 3-4 times I have been there, I am afraid they are going to discontinue it. :(

Well good news I went back up the Avenue about an hour later and the shelve was stocked with WW items. I bought the English Muffins and pita!

I do not drive so, unless my husband take me--and trust me that is few and far between--you'd have to move the car and then fight for your spot again--the only store I can really shop in is KeyFood. I am lucky that they do carry a lot of WW products. Has anyone seen "real" not the "like" cheddar cheese slices that WW puts out? I haven't found them but the WW leader brought one into show us. I really would like to find them. Only 1 pt! I've been looking for the fat free mozzarella cheese too. Haven't see it. Don't you just hate when you find something that works and then you can't get it anymore? I bought some of the veggie slices "cheese" I hope they at least taste like something.

You all will appreciate this story. I was in said grocery store the 2nd time this morning waiting on the line to get my Boars Head Turkney. Right in front of it is the snacks.... There was a lady next to me and she goes, oh look they now have the 100 calorie packs of Stella Dora cookies. I said, boy that must be new I haven't seen them carry that before. With that we start to compare the price to the box of 100 calorie pack to the regular package and it's about 50 cents more. So I just said, well if it helps keep you on program it's worth the 50 cents. So she goes, I wonder how many points a package is. With that I whipped out my point calcuator from by waist pack and said, here let me help you. We both were hysterical. It's two points for the pack! Not bad but netiher of us actuall bought the package.

Must get off the PC now and get my 17 year old to CLEAN HIS ROOM. I told him it's today or he won't be alive to see high school graduation next week. Catch up with you later!

Good for you Maryann and all! You are going to be so happy when the weight comes off!

I think my happiest moment was when my jeans were so loose I could pull them off without unzipping them, and that was with just a 20 pound loss!

Maryanne, here is a tip for those office spoilers...buy a can of pringles low fat/no fat chips (sour cream and onion are my favorite)....you can eat a bunch of them and it's only 1 point!

I still haven't started, but just by reading the threads here, I am feeling alot more motivated than I was before!

Keep up the good work! I am hoping to join you all soon!

Joanne

Well I TECHNICALLY don't weigh in until tomorrow, but I weighed myself today and am down 1.2 lbs! That's a 10.4 lb loss! WHOO HOO! AND we picked our 2009 Disney Dates (that was DH and I's goal- if we lost a combined 20 lbs, we got to pick our dates.)

Sept 16-22 2009! WHOO HOOO! Great motivation!! :cool1:

Toledo13 Great!!!! That's wonderful.

My bravo of the day (and it is early) is we went out for out our ususal Sunday morning breakfast, and I ordered the egg whites, with tomato and whole wheat toast and I sent back a whole slice of the bread! I was full and I would have jut eaten it to eat it. I am now realizing how much food I eat, just not to see it go to waste (or waist).

I am really hoping to see at least an .8 loss this week, that will give me the 10 lb mark that I was aiming for before vacation.

Well I went to red sox game friday night, and even though they lost 8-0, we had a fabulous time. The atmosphere is so much fun, and we got there early and my ds played catch with a guy on stilts out on the street outside the stadium, and there was a balloon guy he goofed around with. Eating wise, I did well. We ate bananas and cheese sticks before we went in, and I bought him a cheeseburger and fries, had one bite, and a few fries, then he got cotton candy, took a few tiny bites- he didn't want to share that.:rotfl2: My friends who gave us the ticket came by and sent me down a beer, so I did drink that, and ended the night with a small soft serve. Oh, yeah, since it was my son's first game, he wanted peanuts (which he doesn't like) just so the guy would throw them to him, so I bought them, and only ate a couple then gave them to people in front of us.

The rest of the weekend, we pretty much hung out at my brothers pool in the heat, had a barbeque both days, and I ate and drank too much. I did better today, but then ended the night with a happy meal and vanilla shake with my son for dinner. Stupid. But tomorrow is a new day, and it is back on core for me. I'm hoping the 4 days ahead will counteract the damage for the past 2.

toledo13-Congratulations on your loss, and booking your trip. That is so exciting.

Mary Anne- You sound like you are doing so well and are right on track. I'm gonna try and get some of your motivation through the computer.
ESPN is like a church service in my house
:rotfl2: Too funny.
That sounds like fun to visit all the stadiums. Two people I work with are trying to do that as well with their families, and are travelling to sox games.

Tiggerlover- A yankees fan!!!!! Surely you can't be. You are so nice!! Just kidding. I would never hold that against you. Congratulations on your nice loss!! You are doing so great, Debbi. It must feel so good.

Welcome to the meeting. What step in the program are you on?
:rotfl2: Well, Ms. H., today I am back at step one, after my weekend. How was your weekend? Funny story, about 20 years ago, I worked one new years eve with 2 other girls, and we ate, and ate, and ate all night, and we decided right then that we needed to lose weight and gain control of ourselves right then, so we called ww, no meetings on new years day, so we found a Overeaters Anonymous meeting, so we went the next day. We sat up in the back of the room, and they started the meeting with the Alcoholics Anonymous pledge, so we got up and left, and asked someone on the way out where OA was, and they said that was it, but they use the AA pledge. We were too embarrassed to go back in, and went to WW the next day. The ironic thing was, most of the people in that room were thin.

Here's to a new, on program day tomorrow for all of us!:drinking1 (don't worry, it's crystal light not beer)

OK so how come yesterday (ohhh I'm going to dsclose my weight here... dun dun dunn!) I weighed 156.8 and today I weigh 158?! How does that happen?! UGH :headache:

You know I can't figure that out either. :confused3 Fluid maybe? It happens to me all the time.

Hi, everybody. Long time no "see"! I haven't been on in the last week or so--life's been a little crazy! I'm finally finished packing up my classroom for the summer and am now getting ready for VBS (which I'm directing) tonight! (At least all that has involved much more physical exertion than teaching all day.)

Let's see- -last week I was bummed out because I had gained .8 when I thought I had lost. I think I had too much salty stuff over the weekend and not enough water and was retaining fluid. Anyway, that was :worried: .
Well, this past week has been so hectic that I've been eating more on the run, and we also had our end-of-school catered lunch, and a church cookout last night, so there was more splurging. I used almost all my Flex points this week, whereas I usually only use a few. On top of that, it's been SO hot--I've been guzzling water! So really, I had no idea what to expect when I weighed in this morning. Anyway, I'm DOWN 4.6!!!! I haven't lost that much since my first week on the program in January!

Are you close to AF?? When I am I can gain up to 3... Then lose it the next week... Also -- are you eating a lot of salt? That can contribute, too!!!

Good luck this week!

HOLY MOLY! Congrats on your 4.6 # loss. That is fantastic.

Your body must be "ready to lose!"

Weigh to go!!:moped: :cool1:  :yay:

Not much to report tonight just wanted to check in an hope everyone was having a good WW day!

Busy thread today, I don't have all that much time this evening so I can't respond to everyone like I normally do, so forgive me.....

:woohoo: :woohoo: DizneeMommy:woohoo: :woohoo: Awesome loss! You have been so busy wrapping things up with school you didn't see the weight flying off!! Good for you!

Mik....sorry to hear that the Sox lost (really), but am so glad that your son's first experience at the ball field was a great one. I think we all go through days that we binge and thank goodness we can start over the next day. Here's to a good rest of the week!

Mary Anne, it is amazing where you will run into people who are fellow WWers or have an interest in WW (and you have to love those WW calculators). I am glad you were able to get your WW items, I was excited to actually find my fat free mozzarella tonight too!

Jovo, I have to tell you, some of the motivation I get here really keeps me on track. If I feel myself struggling, the WISH board is what I turn to to help pick me up.

toledo13, congratulations on picking your date, that is terrific! :cloud9: And to answer your question, there are a ton of things that can make your weight fluctuate: water intake, sodium intake, time of the month, clothes, time of day....just to name a few.

Hope you all have a great night and a good week!!:)
