WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

 Today is a new day, so let yesterday go. 4 months on program is awesome, and one day off will not hurt you. You are doing great!!

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I think I'm having an off week. Not binging on food but haven't been drinking the water like I should, I only exercised two days. :confused3 I need to step back and take a good look at what I did and whip my patootie back in shape.
Oh!

I have had several days like that. ITA with the Previous Poster. All we can do is FORGET ABOUT YESTERDAY and focus on today.

Another thought... Do you feel "beat your self up horrible" or do you feel "I ate like a pig at a trough horrible" -- Maybe the eating is contributing to the physical way you feel??

I find when I eat well, I FEEL well!!:)

Here's to a great day!:thumbsup2

I feel beat yourself up horrible. Yesterday I didn't care, today I'm back on track. Water sitting right next to me as I type. Now I just have to remember to drink it. :rolleyes1

Well, I weighed in at my meeting last night for the first time in a month. I was down .25 of a pound, which was better than I expected.

Now, I'm craving hot dogs too.

good job! I'm going to have to try those hot dogs too!

I have recently started WW, 5 weeks ago. While I am doing ok, I am thinking I didn't get "instructed" well when I started. At my first meeting, I figured my daily points but wasn't really instructed on what else to do. The leader showed us the before/after pics, talked about not a diet, a lifestyle change etc. Two weeks ago I started attending a different location meeting, it fits better in my schedule. But I starting to think I don't really know how to do the program. I know I must eat all my daily points. I know the guts about drinking water, fruits/veggies, etc but where I fall short are the 35 extra pts, activity pts--are we really suppose to use them??, healthy oils--not sure how to go about that. I just don't know about anything other than what I consider logical---more water/fruits/veggies/exercise.

Ok, after this long intro. here's my question, do you think it's ok to ask the new location leader to go through the 'first meeting' information to me?

I enter my info. at WW online also...is there somewhere there that walks you through it...like a "new to the program?, here's all the information you will need to understand the program and get you started".

Thanks for your help...just trying to get the maximum benefits from the program....Cheri

Welcome! The others have given you great information already. I find when I make sure I get in the good health guidelines every day, I do better, especially the 2 tsp of oil. I mix it anything I can (chili, oatmeal etc) and put it on my salad with balsamic vinegar. I use most if not all of my flex points each week but not usually the ativity points.

Welcome Cherio! The weight watcher program is a good one and most of the time when in doubt use common sense and at worst try and get on plan with the next meal. Onward and downward is a motto I've learned on this thread.

I had one of those what the heck am I going to eat on program lunches today. A business lunch in a place I never in a million years would have picked. Everything smothered in some kind of cream sauce. I did the best I could, had some kind of a carrot soup, I honestly don't think it was creamed but puree. And then crab cakes. I completely passed on desert (so yeah me!). Strange after eating all that I was more hungry in the afternoon the if I would have eating my usual WW salad, 2 oz of turkey, 1 bread, and a fruit or yogart lunch. I was looking for something but I remember I had put a sliced banana in the freezer at work, so I went and had that it it hit the spot. Cold, semi hard and sweet.

I balanced out the rest of the day with a WW oatmeal for breakfast and a veggie salad w 1 oz of Turkey for dinner. I'm going to have a WW yogart later so all in all I felt I had a good program day dealing with the challanges.

Hope everyone is having a good weigh in week.

you did a great job in a challenging situation! :thumbsup2

I had a bad day yesterday. I don't know what came over me. :worried: I knew I wasn't staying on program and at that moment I didn't even care. That was the first day I had like that since I started WW in February. Today I feel horrible! New day, new outlook...........stay focused and on track!

 hope today's a better day for you. I totally know how you feel...had one of those days myself on Saturday and the feeling afterwards is so bad :(
I find that it motivates me even more the next day to stay on track though, so it's a learning experience anyway.

Just back from WI and I am down 3.2 lbs  I am shocked, especially after the day I had Saturday. Guess I just made up for it by doing really well the other days

Have a good week everyone!

thanks to all for first, welcoming me--I usually just lurk, and second for all the thoughts and ideas. I will just experiment to see what works the best for me and my body ;)

Hey Mary Anne, your probably more hungry, because you didn't fill up with all that fiber. I know if I don't get my veggies in during lunch, I'm starving by 2:00pm. But, you handled lunch really well!

Yep, today is another day. You can't beat yourself up over what is done, because if you do, you will eat twice as much!:scared1: We are here if you need the support!:goodvibes :goodvibes

:cool1: See, one day won't change what you did the other 6!! Like I said before, don't beat yourself up over one day.....Tomorrow is a new day!:goodvibes

Me, I'm down .2lbs......Well, at least I'm going the right direction! 1.2lbs to that elusive 70lb mark! Went to the Phillies game last night. I got a veggie wrap. Didn't know they put a ton of sharp provalone in it. Took most of it out, but the salt in the cheese and on the veggies killed me. I feel like I'm pregnant with all the fluids in me! So, next time, I know to ask for NO cheese!!!

OMG... I nearly blew water all over my screen.

That. Is. Full. On. Funny. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Live and learn right...

I have book club tonight. It's usually a challenge but today will be especially hard... The host is a GREAT cook and loves to serve huge portions of Fat laden foods. For example, last time she made "killer brownies" and served everyone a brownie the size of my fist... :faint:

I usually just try to control the damage.:duck:

Wish me luck!:rolleyes1

Evening all! Better eating day at work today, no business lunch to deal with they only brought a ton of stuff in :faint:

I was over in the WW meeting today but did not weigh in -- I'm using Thursday mornings as my weigh in day. I was looking at the "food" and planning what I would buy tomorrow. I"m hoping the oatmeal comes in they were all out of that.Has anyone bought any of the DVD's are they worth it?

Wow, you gals have been busy today!!! Lots of posts to catch up on for me.

Mary Anne, I just wanted to say kudos to you for making the best of a difficult situation. It is really hard when we are at a restaurant (or event) where there aren't too many good choices.

 {{{{Grumpy's Wife}}}} We all have those kind of days (I've had a couple this week myself), but you made it through and from what you have posted since you are back OP and that is what matters when it is all said and done.

:woohoo: WEIGH TO GO, CEPMOM :woohoo: Fantastic numbers this week!!!

bucci818, that next milestone will be here soon enough...remember, slow and steady wins the race. (Also remember that every loss deserves to be celebrated, so congrats!)

Onward and downward!

Congrats on your loss, bucci! I'm with tiggerlover, and any loss should be celebrated. Good for you for getting rid of most of the cheese. I don't think I would be that strong. I love cheese.

Evening all. :cool1:

Weigh in day today - 1.8 Down! More then the # the downward sign tells me I'm making good choices over the course of the week. :thumbsup2

I'm sure I work in the only office in NYC that lives to challenge a diet. Boxes of chips, all kinds of drinks, some kind of lunch food comes in 3 out of the 5 days of the week, EVERY WEEK. Today I lucked out. There was one half sandwich left. VEGGIE. No one wanted it, I snagged it and enjoyed every bite.

I bought some food at WW to keep in the office and for the weekends at home. Evenings are easy but the weekends can do me in. I'm trying to have some special treats on hand. :goodvibes

just got back from my weigh in... down a pound.

I am now at my lowest i have been in 10+ years.

Only 3.4 pounds or so to go before I hit 70 lbs!:cool1:

thanks for all your support!!!

Good choices, indeed! Great weekly loss, Mary Anne. Keep up the great work.

I think almost every office works to sabotage those of us who are trying to eat healthy! It is a constant challenge, but if we stock up on healthy treats for ourselves we can be successful. I like to keep a stash of fruit in our office fridge in case of an emergency. I love those 1 PT mandarin orange packs because they last so long. :)

Congrats, Ms. Heimlich, that is WONDERFUL!:thumbsup2 Doesn't it make you feel like a million bucks? :jumping1:

Congratulations on your great loss and contolling yourself at work. It is amazing how many workplaces are like that. I work in a hospital and on my old floor there was a candy drawer right at the nurses station that was always full. The floor I work on now, my big challenge is the packages of Lorna doone cookies. I had been eating one or two packages a day, so I decided I needed to stop, so as of yesterday I am 3 weeks lorna doone free. I'm definitely an addict. I bring a healthy snack for the afternoon now, or make a cup of tea.

I am down .6 this week, and after 4 weeks on core down 4.8 total. I'm very happy with that. I've been doing pretty well staying on core, and for me I decided to take 5 flex points a day, thinking that would be easier to keep track of, but a few days I did have more than 5 this week. Like last night, I had about 8 points of kraft macaroni and cheese that I had made for my son. I had already eaten, but just couldn't stop myself. I threw the rest away before I ate it all.

A friend called last night and gave me tickets to the red sox game tonight, and I am so excited. It will be my son's first game, and he's playing little league now and he is thrilled. My plan is to eat before we go, and then to take just a bite or two of the snacks my son eats at the game. I figure he'll have a hotdog, pretzel, ice cream. Doesn't like nuts or cracker jack. No sausage for me. My other plan is to bring my camera, and keep my hands busy with taking pictures, rather than eating. My weight today is 184.6, which I hit for a week a few months back, and other than that it's the lowest I"ve been for at least 7-8 years. I want so bad to get down to the 170s, and I think sticking with core for a while will help me get there.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

great job mikamah!!! what a wonderful feeling being at your "lowest weight" :goodvibes

Have a great time at the game!! I never noticed that you are in MA too...I'm on the South Shore and definately jealous that you get to go to the game  ;)

I do okay at events like that mostly because I'm too cheap to pay the price for all those bad for you snacks  I usually bring a couple WW friendly choices with me just to stay satisfied and not feel deprived. Have fun!

Thanks, neighbor. I am on the north shore. I haven't been to a game in over 7 years, and had looked into taking my son, but ticket prices are insane, and I nixed it for this year, so when my friend called last night, I was so excited. Her husband has season tickets that he splits, but they are going with some other people, so his seats were free. My son woke up and the first thing he said was "I'm so excited." Good thought on the snacks. You are right, a 5 dollar hot dog is definitely not worth the calories or the money. I think I'll throw a couple fiberone bars in my camera bag now.

Hello mikamah. Welcome to the meeting. What step in the program are you on? :)

Have a great time at the game. DH and I are going NEXT friday to see our local farm team (double a). i always worry about the food situation. I can't seem to be in close proximity to food and NOT want to shovel it all in... :worried:

Maybe i'm an addict, too...

What's step one?? Oh, Yeah... I KNOW i have a problem. No denial here!!

Let's cheer each other on. I want that 70lbs!!!! Seriously, I wasn't even this weight 11 years ago when I got married. I've been invited to a swim party on Monday......tried on my suit.....:scared1: IT'S WAY TO BIG!!!!  :cool1: :cool1: Now, I have good reason to go shopping!!:yay: :yay: :cool2:

By the way, how was the book club the other night? Hope all went well!

What a good feeling that is when things don't fit us anymore. For far too long it was that things were too tight. Great job and good luck bathing suit shopping.

We are going to the beach next month and I didn't even think of checking my suits to see if they still fit. Maybe I should do that? Have fun at the party.

mikamah - that is what we have to learn to do -- learn how to toss stuff out not finish it. I know it's my downfall. I personally pitched some left over ice cream this week. I felt empowered!

Enjoy the Baseball game. We are a big baseball family (I live with 3 men - ESPN is like a church service in my house :lol ) We have been to Fenway to see the Red Sox play. My son wants to visit all the stadiums. He's seen about 7 or 8 so far. We've also been to Dodger Stadium and to see the Angels.

et's cheer each other on. I want that 70lbs!!!!

bucci818 you can do it!!!

Today's office food challenge was First Friday bring in Pizza day. I kid you not they brought in no less the 15 LARGE thick crust Pizza today. Luckily one of the girls that was "helping" to order encouraged the person making the decision to get one with just veggie and tomato on it no cheese. Of cause instead of getting a plain salad and then a Caesar one they ordered all Caesar dripping in mayo, grated cheese and croûtons  I ended up taking a small portion of the salad but once I sat down at my desk decided it just wasn't worth the points and I tossed it out

Monday I'll be in an all day meeting and will probably ask for lunch to be brought it. However, it is MY MEETING and I will have control of the menu! Green salad and a veggie sandwiches will be a choice!

Hope everyone has a good points weekend!
